I hope Adeleke will distance himself from Aregbesola. I can recall what he said during the heat of campaign in 2018”That seem the death of serubawon is affecting Adeleke’s mental state”. Aregbe is the Genesis of current osun debt ordeals. I don’t support politics of bitterness but I don’t trust the so called progressive. |
Imole is here to stay. Congratulations to people’s Governor. Baba jeje oninu Dudu taking his dose😂

leisuretym:Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun has approved the implementation of Farmers’ Intervention Programme (FIP), focusing on subsidies of farm inputs for farmers in the state. This is contained in a statement by the spokesperson to the governor, Malam Olawale Rasheed, on Saturday in Osogbo. The statement said that the new intervention programme would cover subsidies on fertilisers and chemical inputs for farmers. It said the fertilisers and chemicals would be subsidised by the government by more than 40 per cent of the price through direct purchase from the producers. The statement said to safeguard the credibility of the programme, the farm inputs were to be branded with a project manager within the state’s agric sector, who would coordinate the marketing and distribution process. According to the statement, the intervention is to develop into a revolving fund process such that the sustainability of the project is guaranteed. The statement quoted the governor as saying: “this is the first of our interventions ahead of the new raining season. “My government will ensure that the subsidised inputs get to the farmers. This programme will positively touch the lives of our farming population |

diadem10:*PRESS RELEASE* *OSUN STATE SHOULD NOT BE STRIPPED BARE OF MOVABLE ASSETS* - Goke Omigbodun (Convener: Good Governance Globally) Our attention has been drawn to the fact of vehicles and other movable assets of Osun State, being misappropriated now by high political office holders of the immediate past APC administration of Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola. It is grossly misleading of Chief Sunday Akere, an APC chieftain and Political Adviser to the just replaced government, to claim on a radio program, today 1st December 2022, that it has been the tradition for official cars and other movable assets to be taken away as gifts by officials of outgoing administrations in Osun State. Chief Akere should in fact apologize for mentioning the government of Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, in which I served as Special Adviser. *We all returned our official cars, and some of my colleagues were even hounded for what was not!* I also served in the Papa Bisi Akande administration and returned all my official vehicles. It is almost certain that the official cars of the then Honorable Commissioner for Education, whom Chief Sunday Akere served as Personal Assistant were also returned. In fact, members of the then PDP as constituted, the political party that was to take over from the then Alliance for Democracy, AD, were stopping officials of the Papa Bisi Akande-led administration on the bridge along the Gbongan Road leading to the State Secretariat, and elsewhere, stripping all of their official vehicles! That was immediately after election results were declared and long before Prince Oyinlola was sworn in. *The said tradition is new and confined to the APC administrations* *It is an unbearable tradition of "a heavy knee on the neck" of Osun State lean wallet!* If the act of taking state vehicles and other movable assets as personal gifts is according to any extant law, Osun Government of the day and the good people of Osun should overlook the acts, prevail on the next Osun State House of Assembly to enact an appropriate *Transition of Osun State Administrations Law*, for future purposes, and let's move on. If there was such a Transition Law, and the immediate past government of Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola was compelled by an Act of Parliament to cooperate with the Transition Committee set up by the then Governor-Elect, now inaugurated Governor Ademola Adeleke, no office or official residence would have been stripped bare even of cutleries, doors and windows, as claimed now by the new administration. Long live Osun State! *Goke Omigbodun* Convener, Good Governance Globally |

European leaders won’t admit they’re going along with Russia’s deal, government official Gergely Gulyas said. While multiple European leaders have publicly proclaimed they won’t buy Russian gas in rubles as Russian President Vladimir Putin has demanded, 10 EU countries are technically going along with Putin’s plan, Hungarian official Gergely Gulyas told public radio on Sunday. According to Gulyas, these countries’ leaders aren’t admitting this in order to be seen as “being a good European.” Gulyas said that Hungary has opened a euro account with Russia’s Gazprombank, which then converts payments into rubles before transferring them to suppliers in Russia. This system allows European buyers to comply with Putin’s demand, made in late March, that “unfriendly” countries switch to Russia’s national currency to buy its natural gas. “There are nine other countries using the same payment scheme, but because today the idea of being a good European also means that the leaders of those countries are not honest when speaking either in the international arena or to their own people, the other nine countries won’t say that they are doing the same thing,” said Gulyas, who serves as Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s chief of staff. There should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that countries importing raw materials from Russia use exactly the same method to pay for Russian gas,” he added. It is unclear which EU countries Guylas was referring to. Russian energy giant Gazprom has already shut off supplies to Poland and Bulgaria after both refused to pay in rubles, but a Bloomberg report last week stated, as Gulyas did, that 10 of the bloc’s member states have already set up accounts with Gazprombank, and four have actually paid for Russian gas using this mechanism. Hungary depends on Russia for all of its gas imports, and has therefore opposed EU sanctions on this critical commodity. Gulyas reiterated this commitment to Russian energy and opposition to Brussels’ sanctions regime on Sunday. “We mustn’t adopt sanctions with which we primarily penalize ourselves instead of those we want to sanction,” he said, referring to soaring energy costs throughout Europe. While the government in Budapest has condemned Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, Guylas said that it would “continue to buy our energy at the cheapest possible price” to offset any costs on the Hungarian people. https://www.rt.com/business/554827-hungary-eu-gas-rubles/ |

Iran’s Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali says Tehran and Moscow are discussing the possibility of recognizing cards using Russian Mir payment system. "The issue is on the agenda, which we are discussing with our Russian colleagues," Jalali said at a press conference on Thursday. Mir is a Russian payment system for electronic fund transfers established by the Central Bank of Russia under a law adopted on May 1 2017. The system is operated by the Russian National Card Payment System (NSPK), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Central Bank of Russia. Over 50 percent of Russians are said to have at least one Mir bank card, and more than 25 percent of Russian financial transactions are carried out using this system. Jalali further noted that Russia and Iran are also working to unify financial messaging systems that bypass the SWIFT interbank payment system. "We are making efforts in this direction (connecting Iranian banks to the Financial Message Transfer System (SPFS) of the Bank of Russia) in order to hold good events in this area in the future," he said. Following Russia's military operation in Ukraine on February 24, Western countries imposed a long list of sanctions on Moscow. Iran and Russia which are both under US sanctions are seeking ways to have financial interactions independently from the US and its Western allies. In his remarks, the Iranian diplomat said the eastern Russian city of Yekaterinburg can become a hub for developing relations between Iran and the central and eastern parts of Russia. “We, as the Islamic Republic of Iran, are interested in developing relations with all Russian regions and using the opportunities that this great country has. But at present, our trade relations between Iran and Russia are exclusively concentrated in the west of Russia, in particular, in Moscow and St. Petersburg," Jalali said. Iran, he said, does not have "a special presence in the center and east of Russia, although there are many potential transit opportunities there that could be used through Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan." "We have studied this issue, and we see that the Sverdlovsk region and Yekaterinburg can become a hub for developing relations between Iran and the center and east of Russia,” he said. According to Jalali, the possibility of opening a diplomatic mission of Iran in the Urals is also being discussed. https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2022/03/24/679094/Russia-Iran-relations-Mir-payment-system-cards-SWIFT-Kazem-Jalali

Osun PDP Adhoc Congress: Ademola Adeleke's Camp Coasts to Victory ●No Victor, No Vanquished– Senator Ademola Adeleke Results from the Adhoc ward Congress within Osun PDP are already emerging and clear indications point to a clear open victory for the political camp of Senator Ademola Adeleke, a frontline governorship aspirant of the party. With over two third of the results from the 332 wards across Osun state, the Imole camp has recorded overwhelming lead from across the three senatorial districts. In Osun West, Adeleke camp emerged victorious in virtually all the 10 local governments while election materials were snacthed by political thugs loyal to another aspirant in his home local government. In Osun East, similar sweeping successes were recorded by the Imole group even with a local government within Ifeland where political thugs loyal to another aspirant hijacked election materials even before election officials reached the council area. The Osun Central results also largely favoured the Imole camp from Ila to Osogbo among others. Despite reports of imported thugs and voters, PDP members trooped out in large numbers to cast and defend their votes. It was gathered that the space was too hot for any imported thug to play any drama. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the adhoc Congress, Governor Umar Fintiri went round some of the local governments and expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise. He also ensured transparency by granting each aspirants two representatives to ne part of the election monitoring team addressing situation all over the state. The committee is now currently collating the results for official announcements and onward transmission to the national office of the party. Each of the political camp however operated a Situation room and reports so far confirmed that the Adeleke camp has solidified its position with more than two third of the 900 plus adhoc delegates elected today. It was earlier reported that the Adeleke group already have majority of plegded statutory votes from across the local governments in the state. Senator Adeleke had conducted a tour of the nine federal constituencies during which delegates pledged their support. The Senator was the only aspirant to have embarked on such popularity testing exercise. Meanwhile, Senator Adeleke has urged party men and women to remain united as it is a case of no victor no vanquished. Speaking with our reporter at his country home Ede, Senator Adeleke said the ward congress validated the popularity of the PDP among the voters. "I appeal for unity, peace and brotherhood. We are one big family. Now is the time for us to sustain the tempo of unity in the best interest of the party and suffering people of Osun state. "There is no victor, no vanquished. We are all victorious. I remain committed to reconciliation and peace drive by our elders and party leadership", Adeleke said. |
Let see as things unfolds. |

White self dey scam |
A Massachusetts man who tried to scam a Covid-19 business aid scheme and faked his own death to evade authorities has been sentenced to 56 months in prison. David Staveley falsely claimed to co-own four large businesses in need of nearly $544,000 (£399,000) in support from a federal government programme. After being charged last year, Staveley staged a suicide and fled using false identities and stolen licence plates. He is the first person to be charged with fraudulently seeking the loans. Prosecutors condemned his actions in their sentencing memo: "He saw the economic emergency created by the pandemic simply as an opportunity to make himself rich by taking for himself what was meant for those in need." Enacted between March 2020 and May 2021, the US Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) allowed small businesses hit hard by the pandemic to apply for low-interest private loans to cover payroll and other costs. Staveley, 54, and his accomplice, David Andrew Butziger, 53, filed false applications as the owners of three restaurants and an unincorporated business named Dock Wireless, all with "large monthly payrolls". In fact, all three restaurants had already closed and Dock Wireless had no employees. Neither man had any ownership stake. According to the Department of Justice, "a concerned citizen aware of their fraudulent nature" tipped off law enforcement while the applications were still pending. Both men were arrested in May 2020, and Staveley was released to home detention after being charged. Weeks later, he cut off his electronic monitoring device, left suicide notes with associates and family members, and parked his unlocked car by the ocean, according to the justice department. But those who knew him were not convinced and federal investigators launched a manhunt between May and July 2020. During those three months, Staveley is said to have used false documents, stolen licence plates and at least five different phone numbers to travel across the country and escape the authorities. US Marshals eventually captured him just north of Atlanta, Georgia, on 23 July, 2020. Staveley pleaded guilty this May to conspiracy to commit bank fraud as well as failing to appear in court. He will spend four and a half years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. Mr Butziger pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud. He will be sentenced next month. |
