Business / Re: Nigeria Zip Code by diehard1: 2:16pm On Oct 06, 2009
234 is the telephone country code for nigeria and not zip code. Zip code can be likened to postal code in our own case.
Postal codes in Nigeria are numeric, consisting of six digits. NIPOST, the Nigerian Postal Service, divides the country into nine regions, which make up the first digit of the code. The second and third digits, combined with the first, are the dispatch district for outgoing sorting. The last three digits are for delivery. The main postal head office in each region will have a postal code ending in 00001, such as, Garki Main HO in Abuja has the postal code 970001, Ikeja HO in Lagos has 100001, Lokoja in Kogi has 270001 and Port Harcourt has 500001. The lowest postcode being 100001 and the highest is 982002.[12] You can get the Postal code for each locality by visiting NIPOST Official Portal [1]

Autos / Re: I Need A 1998 Nissan Maxima Grill. by diehard1: 9:55am On Sep 25, 2009
for the airbag light i cleared mine with this procedure i googled from the net. This will work if your airbags/bag do not have a physical defect in that case replace. You can also go to www.maxima.org for questions regarding maxima. it is a forum. Do not allow electricians work on the dashboard with the intention of clearing lights on the dashboard. Leave all lights and work on the issues so that lights on the board go off on their own. The maxima is a very nice car but electricians can kill it easily.

1) Open the driver's side door.
2) Put the key in the ignition and turn to ON (but don't start the vehicle)
3) Within 7 seconds of turning the key to ON, push the driver's side door switch button at least 5 times.
4) The Air Bag light should go solid, give it at least 7 seconds, and it should begin to blink a 3 second, 2 second on/off pattern.
5) Turn ignition to OFF and remove key.
6) Start vehicle, and wait for the Air Bag light to turn off to verify that it worked

Religion / Swine Flu: Saudi May Bar Nigerian Pilgrims? by diehard1: 7:51pm On Sep 11, 2009
from thisday 11/09/09

Following the outbreak of swine flu pandemic across the globe, Saudi Arabian authorities said Nigerian pilgrims would not be allowed into the country if they were not immunised against the disease.
But Minister of Health, Professor Babatunde Osotimehin, said the vaccine for the flu was not available anywhere in the world. He also alerted intending pilgrims to this year’s Holy Pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia of possible threat of the new subtype of the disease, A HINI, also called swine flu.
He said the Federal Government had engaged the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Abuja on the issue where it told them that non- availability of the vaccines was a global issue not peculiar to the country alone.
“Right now there is no vaccine anywhere in Africa, in Europe and America, some vaccines have been bought ahead of production”, he said, adding that apart from the World Health Organization (WHO), no African country can have access to it “at least, this year”, he said.
Osotimehin said he had appealed to the Director General of the World Health Organisation, Dr. Margret Chang, whom he met at a meeting in Kigali, Rwanda, last week, to interface with the Saudi authorities on the vaccine issue.
Family / Re: My Husband Won't Accept Our Son's Disability by diehard1: 7:06pm On Sep 11, 2009
i wonder why ur husband would be harsh on a 4 yr old kid. i think he is the person that needs a doctor. Most nigerians that have disabled kids take care of them as much as they could, so your husband should not use that as an excuse.  It is not in our culture.  Maybe he wants to use that as an excuse to marry another person. wonder what will happen if he marries another woman and that one gives birth to a child with one genetic defect or the other. Forget what he is doing and take care of your son. Don't let it bother you a bit.
