i own a similar car, u can go to ladipo market in lagos for the airbags and front grill then reset the airbag light if it does not clear. i doubt if you will find it at ikoku market in PH.

is car 4wd?

Have a 98 model nissan maxima auto drive. The tachometer fluctuates when the car is in drive gear and controlling it with brakes like in traffic jam, it jerks at that very low speed. If i leave car to idle in neutral gear the tachometer remains stable. Atimes when am accelerating at 40mil/hr the car jerks. Ran check and it showed knock sensor. Other than this, it still moves very fast. but am tired of this erratic jerking. it does not jerk all the time. Any clues

infidelity does not runs in families.  Genetic? no way!! We behave the way we do based on what we have learnt or influence of other people around us. I don't even know how to drive, but unluckily for me, a friend had this problem with his car and after all the mechanics from Lagos had been invited to Benin and after Alliance Autos in VI had cashed N1.2 million from us, we had to do it ourselves. We downloaded the service manual then proceeded to work.

There are two possibilities, if not both together. The Mass Airflow Sensor (MAS), or the Exhaust Gas Recirculation sensor or valve (EGR sensor or EGR valve).

We blocked of the EGR pipe from the throttle body using a thin metal plate.

Then we changed the MAS.

Car accelerates like It's on steroids now. In fact, reading about blocking the EGR pipe, one mad mechanic based in the US let us know that blocking the EGR pipe gives it more power and more fuel efficiency than the first day the car was bought brand new.

A lot of mechanics using the diagnostic equipment don't even know how to translate the codes. The last idiot that came translated "DTC" as Damaged Throttle, Change. Meanwhile when we check our Service/Workshop Manual, it really meant Diagnostic Trouble Code, and had no meaning till you add the figures after it. So be careful the kind of mechanic you hand your car to, even when he's carrying a computer.

These trial and error mechanics will make you change everything in the car. We changed virtually all the sensors, we changed filters, changed plugs several times, we even changed the brainbox. However, when we were asked to change the brainbox again, the throttle body and even totally change the engine and convert it to a Camry 2.2 engine, we began to realise we weren't the ones that were mad.

Well goodluck with the EGR and MAS. Be stern with your mechanic. Let him know you know.

May God bless u, same thing happens to my nissan maxima and i was told to change my engine !! though on diagnosis i did not see similar code. When i fire my engine , i hear a funny sound from the area u worked on, in my own case it is de MAF. May try to do what u did.

This is one of the craziest things i've heard of in years. The international community will also be wondering what is wrong with naija. Instead of facing the niger delta problem and looking for ways to tackle it, we are looking for ways of tackling the "militants" and pushing the real problem under the carpet. Let us assume the millitants agree which i know they won't, what happens to the common man over there? Are they just interested in pumping the F**king oil? This pay package will cause uprising in other forms all over the country. If the money allocated to settling this guys stop coming what happens? the cycle repeats itself. FIND LASTING SOLUTION AND NOT SETTLEMENT. Pls they should not publish such things on the pages of newspaper to save our face in the international community. Make sure u come out with at least  second class upper. with that u may be called for aptitude tests else, i de fear oh! U can advance to lecturing job too, thats after getting higher degrees!!  U can also do post graduate diploma in other fields so u can change to other disciplines too!!!! But since u r still a student, try change department very fast if u can, thats an honest advice. Don't mind if u loose a year. Getting a job in naija has to do with luck, man know man, anything goes, u fit read medicine and be incharge of a bank

the fact that it was not reported on Naija news etc does not mean it did not happen, after all do you want to start panic in the system. Our press normally edits or writes on what de government wants and am sure this is not one of those topics. E fit cause closure of an organization if not handled properly

since it has gotten to this level,  we need to pray to God. Naija no get security so they can strike wherever they wish oh. Imagine someone driving a truck filled with dynamite to the front of a high rise or bridge or wherever. Booooom, the police etc is handicapped to fight crime not  to talk of guerilla warfare. How do u check what people r carrying, who has what etc. The federal government has to com out fast with a lasting and sensible solution for the whole country will move forward.

you are in a very sorry condition. but all hope is not lost at least your wife still loves you and you believe divorce is not an option. You know what you can do? Try and get close to her and be her friend first. Whatever made you make love to her can be ignited again.  Stay close to her all the time and try talking to her  as often as possible, on fone etc.  Broda do not worry over what you cannot change for your own health too! she has come to stay. My young man stay where you are? Abi u be coward? No be brains dey you head. If u fit read physics u go fit do small programming and from there you go big. Jobs no full for outside oh! When you start work newly it is always like that, u fit get job that you are not enjoying but hang on for a while. You will only have issue if you have no interest in programming at all, then you fit vamoose. How will you get programming experience if you quit after two month?
