Henry120: The video was provided by DHQ. Where and when? It was not. It came from an unknown person, who is the same person that edited it, Henry120: I shared the entire video documentary in these pages when it was released. What documentary? Henry120: Yes, it was necessary. Most parts of the documentary were boring, only the interesting parts of the video were taken. The NAF roundel edited in was simply to show it indeed is an NAF video. The digital text on the left of the screen has nothing to do with the entertainment value of the clip. That information was cut out because it would have revealed that this was not a drone hit. Also, the NAF colours and white text were edited in after the fact to try and convince people that this is a drone hit. Why would the NAF put its colours on a video like this? Fake clip. |

Henry120: China also exported major arms to 18 African states. Examples of China’s increasing global presence as an arms supplier in 2010–14 included deals with Venezuela for armoured vehicles and transport and trainer aircraft, with Algeria for three frigates, with Indonesia for the supply of hundreds of anti-ship missiles and with Nigeria for the supply of a number of unmanned combat aerial vehicles, according to SIPRI. http://defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=38412:african-arms-imports-increased-45-per-cent-over-last-decade-sipri&catid=7:Industry&Itemid=116 We can now put to rest this issue. Yes, it was a PGM from a drone. The video itself is not authentic. It's fake. Nowhere has a credible background to the video been provided. Let alone a credible source. And why has the digital text on the left of the screen been cut out and the colours of the NAF inexplicably edited in? Why was all that necessary? |

rka1: As already explained to you, the COAS has spoken. It doesn't matter what articles you post. "Officials" are playing politics. They are not in the front lines nor do they understand what is going on. They are politicians if not made up people by mischief makers. As pointed to you, officials have already spoken. It doesn't matter what blogs you post. Goodluck Jonathan is only playing politics. He is not in the front lines, nor does he understand what is going on. He is a politician and his statements are made up by the mischief makers at Aso Rock. Oh - senior military officials ARE on the frontlines. And about the pictures...Reva IIIs.... #nuffsed. |

BTW, he is more authoritative with better contacts than all the foreign media and their cohorts combined. The New York Times is similar to "wordpress"? Please tell us how? Whenever you are ready. Again, :Hundreds of mercenaries from South Africa and other countries are playing a decisive role in Nigeria’s military campaign against Boko Haram, operating attack helicopters and armored personnel carriers and fighting to retake towns and villages captured by the Islamist militant group, according to senior officials in the region. The Nigerian government has not acknowledged the presence of the mercenaries, but a senior government official in northern Nigeria said the South Africans — camped out in a remote portion of the airport in Maiduguri, the city at the heart of Boko Haram’s uprising — conducted most of their operations at night because “they really don’t want to let people know what is going on.” The mercenaries “are in the vanguard in the liberation of some of the communities,” the official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals. |

rka1: You know where you can shove your links. You are so blinded that you think 100 SA mercs can play a significant role in clearing about 40 towns/local government areas? You are indeed deluded. You haven't even given credit to the other supposed mercs from other countries. Even in make believe world you are glory hunting You are the one who spoke about people "on the ground". Therefore, it follows that the following should be pointed out to you: "The people on the ground - officials at that - confirm that South African mercenaries are in the think of things in Nigeria; and they have been quite effective"Naturally, you won't NEED the links because you've seen them already. They have been posted a hundred times over on the thread. Facts are facts. Your mechanics story does not come from "people on the ground". It comes from the administration of one Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. You hung yourself today. Be angry with yourself. |

Msauza: DENEL=SA GOVERNMENT=SANDF. During the bush war SADF never bought any weapons from KENTRON now DENEL. They were supplied with weapons free of charge, so, whatever that is in DENEL inventory belong to SANDF and the people of SA. Now at peace times SANDF is required to buy only for formality at a reduced price so that DENEL remains sustainable in doing business. However, during war we will unpack whatever that DENEL has in the interest of protecting South Africa and all the private defence industries we have will have to make their contribution to ensure that their businesses will be safe guarded. Have you ever asked yourself why SANDF is training with DENEL weapons irrespective of whether it is in service or not. DENEL DEVELOP WEAPONS PRIMARILY FOR SANDF. Anyway, all of Denel's profits go to its shareholder, the government. And all of SANDF's budget comes from the government. |

agaugust: You need to first close down the offices of BBC, VOA, AFP, REUTERS, News24, CNN, Al Jazeera, New York Times newspapers and all other war media that have ever published an incomplete or inaccurate war situation report that was later found inaccurate, then I can also be blamed.
Until you achieve that, I owe nobody any apology. Get that straight into your thick skullz . How does this piece of comical defiance change the fact that you personally confirmed that the Reva IIIs in the picture are NOT Nigeian? How does it change the fact that they are in Maiguduri? agaugust: Long story with no sense in it. The Equatorial Guinea Vs Maiduguri location/street REVA MRAP story came backstage from an online source and was circulated in Nigeria. You cannot blame anybody for anything, war reports are hard to confirm unless you are a top military commander directly reporting from the field. I owe nobody any fvcking apology, Nigerian army never gave public information on it's versions of REVA MRAPs, we are the ones working so hard to fish out Nigerian weapons and identify their specifications from half complete photos, how is that easy? Can you do better? Yourself can you tell us the difference between REVA Mk III and MK V ? Tell us now ! War reports gets cleared better after days have passed. BBC said 2,000 people died in Baga, a whole BBC relied on a Facebook source because Nigerian military did not comment in the matter for many days before pegging Baga casualty at 150 dead. Have you written letter to BBC about their 2,000 casualty story and ask BBC editor in chief to keel down and bow to one gay Southie named Saengine? You must be hurting badly by now, because the only confirmed South African ex-soldier in Nigeria is a casual labor mechanic who found a better life in Nigeria after South Africa wasted his time and career, we save your unemployed people from financial mess . Bwahahaha - so in short (now that you've been exposed), you're crying because youve been screaming long and hard and contradicting yourself. Now you confirm that you can't be taken seriously because you scream long and hard based on incomplete stories and photos. What a sad little person. |

agaugust: I proved Equitorial Guinea bought REVA MK III with clear source posted by me. First REVA MRAP seen in Nigeria was MK V No official publication has ever said Nigeria bought any type of REVA MRAP, we only got photo of one REVA ambulance MK V being transported by road. Nobody knows all details of Nigerian equipment until we see some of them because of government secrecy policy of Nigerian military. So how is that our fault? Am I Nigerian army chief of staff with full list of all new weapons/equipment purchased yesterday? By the way, can you identify the difference between REVA MK III and MK V ? BTWN Nigeria owns all the REVA MRAPs in the Maiduguri road photos, and the PMC guys are NOT South Africans until you show us their names and nationalities with infallible PROOF ! I do agree we turned some SADF ex-troops into casual labour mechanics, it's not our own apartheid version, it's just that Nigeria is powerful enough to make a white South African wash our toilets if we want it . But the IIIs in the picture are rolling down Maiguduri. But the IIIs in the picture - that are rolling down Maiguduri do not belong to Nigeria. But EG is not in Maiguduri. Therefore... ...Mercenaries. agaugust: By the way, can you identify the difference between REVA MK III and MK V ? The same way you did it when the picture was first posted. agaugust: BTWN Nigeria owns all the REVA MRAPs in the Maiduguri road photos, . You sound like you want to cry. I wonder if you'll still be on this forum when serial production starts this year. Will be interesting to see how you defend yourself. It is in fact Nigeria that cannot afford much. Like @Msauza and I were discussing earlier, the current purchases are forced and haphazard. They aren't really in line with a planned budget. Hence the pain below. Nigeria is simply studying during the exam right now because the neglected their studies all semester. http://www.ventures-africa.com/2015/03/nigeria-orders-30-salary-cut-for-government-officials/VENTURES AFRICA – Pressed by oil price fall in the last year, Nigeria has sought out extensive austerity measures to curb the adverse effects of lower oil revenues in the coming years by hiking taxes and cutting spend. The latest of these austerity moves, however, is targeted at slashing the spend of the ruling elite, as President Goodluck Jonathan orders a 30 percent cut to government officials’ welfare packages. The cut will affect the President himself, his ministerial appointees, and head of government agencies and parastatals. “Political office holders’ salaries are being cut by between 20-30 per cent, ranging from permanent secretaries, directors’ general and so on all the way to ministers,” said Dr. Bright Okogu, who spoke to The Guardian newspaper over the weekend. “This, however, does not amount to very much, but the purpose is to show the commitment of this administration that if they want to make adjustment, they want to do it and lead by.” The successful implementation, however, might be stalled by ‘due process’. “there is a new twist over the pay cut initiative by the President yesterday as a dependable source at the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMFAC) told The Guardian that the President lacks the power to implement a pay cut unilaterally without the Commission’s approval,” read The Guardian report. Former Nigerian president, the late Umaru Musa Y’Ardua, had previously attempted to ply such route in the face of a similar oil crisis just after assuming leadership in 2007. His strides were delayed by bureaucratic protocols, and eventually never materialised. Nigeria’s fate as an economic table-topper had been put in jeopardy over the last year as its cash cow, oil, has lost more than 50 percent in price value, falling to an all-time low of $43 per barrel in January, 2015. Though it has longed picked up momentum to stabilize around $55 a barrel in recent weeks. This has put a strain on the country’s revenue inflow, forcing the government to twice review its budget benchmark, which is hinged on the global price of oil, downwards. Its Finance Ministry, headed by renowned economist, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, had hinted in February that Nigerians may be required to pay more in taxes, as effect of oil price fall hit hard. Odilim Enweagabra, a Nigerian development economist and social commentator, has even canvassed the need to return to the era of tolled highways in a bid to soften the burden on the government. Locals though will feel much more willing to accept a tougher policies going forward should they perceive the government as willing to share in a similar plight. |

stop trolling what a joke! You NEVER EVER bought the Reva III. asuoka: BEEGAGLE’S BLOG 7 March, 2015
This weekend, Nigerian opposition knuckleheads, ever so eager to discredit, floated photographs of what were supposedly South African mercenaries riding in REVA MRAPs.
While the controversy raged on in Nigerian cyberspace, a respected aficionado of South African extraction went to town on his own volition and after exhaustive enquiries, wrote to confirm the fact that the contentious photograph was photoshopped. The photos were certainly not shot in Nigeria.
So take those photographs circulating in cyberspace to be another bad example of how far the desperadoes in Nigeria’s political opposition will go to discredit the military and the FG which controls it. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Just saw the Linda Ikeji post and the ensuing discussion on your site. For what it’s worth, those pics were taken in Guinea Equatorial:
1) The rear view of Vehicle 2C shows an EG flag and the signpost is in Spanish;
2) The Oando reference of your correspondents doesn’t hold up – the company operates throughout West Africa; and
3) More important, that’s the MKIII version, which EG acquired in 2013. As for Nigeria, they operate the latest MK V version of which you posted an ambulance variant the other day
END
I am also pleased to inform you, gentlemen, that pursuant to the unprecedented build-up of assets which the Nigerian Army are undergoing, we are now operators of the latest REVA Mk.5 MRAPs and battlefield ambulances. In the days ahead, we shall begin to see them in the field.
please lets not post anything that will spoil the image of our galant soldiers...i bet if the south african military can fight the war we have fought in this life..
