It’s always funny when I see people who despised Jonathan , voted Buhari to replace him (only for him to become a bigger disaster in all ramifications ) now trying to praise Tinubu for attempting to un4ck some of the stuff Buhari 4cked .

We keep hearing Tinubu inherited a bad economy , just last week Ribadu claimed the security situation Tinubu inherited was a pretty bad one . Guessed who ruled for 8 years before Tinubu ?
Let’s even agree that Tinubu met a pretty bad security situation. What has he done as the chief commander of this country to show he is taking the matter seriously? Tinubu is a disaster, abeg!

.......Apparently, most Nigerians are indeed fickle-minded. The major reason why almost everyone supported Buhari in 2015 was because of the massive failures of GEJ in all ramifications.

Money flowed like water under GEJ. Why did Tinubu protest against subsidy removal under GEJ?! It was because we had what it took to manage the subsidy before Jonathan squandered it! $50 billion gone with nothing to show for it.

Can someone mention just one notable success of GEJ?! Where are the stoves, the cassava bread, and the other promises?! Even the Second Niger Bridge was only commissioned on paper despite him being gifted an Igbo name, "Azikwe."

Do we need to remind folks here that we were borrowing to pay salaries before our dear Azikwe was kicked out of Aso Villa with his infamous "there is God o" queen?!

The records are there, but we wail with empty emotional biases. Some join the mob to rewrite history and pretend we ain't in this mess because of Jonathan. The most ironic part?! Peter Obi was part of his economic team. LOL!

Buhari didn’t perform well either, and I never supported his re-election. He failed to manage the economy properly, though he got power at a difficult time, with COVID-19 adding salt to the injury.

Nigerians should be grateful that President Tinubu is in charge now. Without his leadership, perhaps the country would have become another Burkina Faso by now. Noise dominates social media with zero progress offline.

Under GEJ and PMB, we were borrowing to pay salaries. PMB was even bailing out governors just to pay salaries, not to fund projects. Today, no governor is borrowing to pay salaries or requesting bailouts from the FG.

FAAC allocations have tripled. Foreign loans are being cleared. Businesses are declaring huge gains this year, and the economy is picking up rapidly. Yes, people are suffering, but it ain't because of Tinubu. It’s the effect of years of failed governance under Jonathan and Buhari.

Someone has to make bold decisions to save this country, and that’s exactly what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR is doing.
Bros, abeg no carry us go where we no know. No use style dey do PR work for your guy. At the rate Tinubu and his crew are going, by the time he’s done with the country, the master strategist might end up being an even greater disaster than his predecessors. Right now, he’s a complete disaster!

You work hard so you kids can be comfortable, leveraging on your successes as a launchpad to have it easier in life than you did at their age. But you downplay the work ethics and strides of a son (who seems fairly normal like the rest of us) because he has his father's tree branches to hang on to.

The same lot ridiculed and trolled FFK and DJ Cuppy for not making something of the gazillion opportunities their births handed them on a platter of gold less than three weeks ago on this thread.

You can't love wealth then hate the uber rich. You can't want the best opportunities for your kids then deride kids embracing the opportunities their parents extend to them as long as the parents didn't break the law doing so.
Na wetin be this? Ekaette…..Your Cho Cho Cho is just ridiculous at this point! Or could your issue be comprehension? I’ve seen you conflate issues too many times for it to be normal. Unless you’re just another twisted, foul human being—which I think might be the case—I don’t see how you can look at a career politician like Obasa and attach the idea of hard work to him, as if he were some Dangote, Jim Ovia, Elumelu, or others whose successes we can literally trace. Have you stopped being an advocate for holding your politicians accountable just because you want to do Cho Cho Cho on matters where you have zero knowledge, all due to your inflated ego and excessive need to be seen as always standing on the right side of things, while you can’t even hold yourself accountable?

By the way, what work ethic and achievements of the young man did you see people downplay? Could you name the monikers and quote the posts that downplayed his accomplishments?

Do you even know what it takes for a Nigerian banking marketer, or any marketer, to consistently hit their targets and set profits? You definitely have a problem with numbers and how they work, or maybe you’re just not as bright as you like to think. For a supposed biomedical graduate, you often lack the critical thinking needed to analyse issues and reach sensible conclusions.

You’ve never worked a day in your life in any corporate environment, let alone in a financial institution, but you want to lecture those who have on topics you know nothing about. How about you walk into any bank where you have an account and ask their marketers about their experiences before doing Cho Cho Cho on topics where you clearly lack experience or knowledge?

Nonsense.

If the governors are asking him to draw from the funds to meet government’s financial obligations and indeed there is no place in Nigerian laws for the FG to keep the reserve , why then make it seem like he drew from the reserve to “bribe “ fellow politicians when he was using it to sort bills like the subsidy ?
This part of your post actually summarises how weak President Jonathan was. In my entire life, I’ve never seen a sitting president or governor succumb to pressures from their supposed subordinates to do anything, except for Jonathan. I guess this is because he wasn’t a politician at his core. It's also the main reason he failed to secure a second term in office, in addition to being a weak leader.

By the way, I’m not arguing for or against the idea that he may or may not have used the ECA money as bribes. However, the timing of the depletion of those funds and the word on the street suggest that the money was used for the purposes Ibime is alleging.

That said, I completely agree with you that Bubu was a disaster!

No, it's according to the children's personality

Some are born for that game and some are not.

I grew up with former Governor of Imos children and almost all of them (6 children) are working regular 9 to 5, although at a decent level. Right from time everyone could see the first son wasn't born for that life. Bros just respected himself and became an electrical engineer here in the UK. It was the last son barely out of his teens who had the personality for it and was handling a lot of his father's undergee businesses. That one still went corporate in Yankee
Yeah, I agree that the child's personality plays a big role too.

A marketer that always overachieve his or her target can get promoted 4 times in 4 years .

I’ve met few bankers who get steady promotion for overachieving their targets year-in year-out.

I can’t speak for the boy whether his father has influenced his career progression or not, but I’ve seen people without any political father figure moving upwards at the same pace he’s doing .
I'm not saying there aren't marketers who get promoted year in and year out. However, in over 90% of those cases, they aren’t just hitting their targets and getting the promotions on their own. They typically have a godfathers within the bank or a well-known name outside the bank backing them. It doesn't just happen like that... Please check with your people again, bro.

Nigerian companies will employ u even if na the worst UK university u graduate from, so he doesn't actually need his father's name to get a job in any top Nigerian company. His stint at PWC is more of an internship, he probably chose to portray it like it was a regular employment just to lure his prospective employers.

What I am more concerned with is the fact that he actually performed well on the Job at Providus bank that Parallex employ him and made him head to lead a team which he has also been doing.

I may not be a fan of his papa but I don't think Nepo got the boy where he currently is; the boy sef dey try for himself
No disrespect to what the young man has achieved; however, getting 4 promotions in 4 years at any Nigerian bank goes beyond individual performance and leans more toward connections. He might be good at his job, but there’s no doubt he didn’t get those promotions without his father's direct or indirect influence. Plus, the fact that he exceeded sales and profit targets in less than a year screams government deposits and transactions.

Conclusion: na him papa make am possible

it's been 2-3 years he had a hit Sha. What he do now is jump on trending songs. He won't still get number 1 in Nigeria, Wizkid/Ayra and Davido/Omah Lay will block Laho 2
Hehe! Bro, Burna remixing "LAHO" is definitely a serious win for Shalli—no need for you and Amigoss to stress unaselves! Sentiments aside, Burna stays relevant by constantly jumping on hits, remixing them, and making them even bigger. I’m guessing he’s kind of taken Jigga's template, who did the same back in the day. On a side note, I still remember when Cam'ron refused to let jigga jump on "Oh Boy," which caused a bit of tension between them, lol.

Anyway, besides being super talented and having great stage presence, another thing Burna does is sample oldies. Dude get A1 for sampling songs lol.

All in all, the hustle is real, and I guess it’s not easy for most artists to stay relevant after making music for years without sampling oldies!

Las las….Amigoss you suppose dey happy for your guy because na win-win for both parties involved, and na your guy go benefit pass sef.
