The conversation started with Diggz saying 90% of Nigerian youths likely not see #160m in their lifetime and u alleged that he was underestimating Nigerian youth.

I agreed with Diggz and buttressed his point by showing u data provided by CBN that only 5% of Nigerians have 500k and above in their bank accounts . They are not talking about few youth in Lagos and Abuja doing yahoo yahoo o

As it stands , u have not provided any data whatsoever to support ur “believe “ ,.

I hope u know that when they talk about Nigerian youths , they are talking about youths in Jigawa, Yobe, Ebonyin, Ondo, Ekiti, Adamawa , Enugu , etc .

No,sometimes you need this kind of tactical changes when you are looking for goal, the overall goal is to make Nkunku who is coming from the bench to play from his natural supporting striker role.
There is absolutely no need to switch things around because of that bum. As a matter of fact, we’ve been here before, and he won’t make it here like Havertz.

We are saying almost the same thing.

The multiple views here is, we need another striker to compete Jackson, but more importantly fix the defence. That defence desperately needs fixing. Na the koko be that.

Score more, concede less. That should be the aim.

If you get another striker "with goal sense", we will end up scoring more and conceding more. Does it make sense?

Patch the damn leakage first before pouring water in the bucket. You don't pour water first, then start patching the leakage.
I hope you’re aware that I’m not against your points

If Haaland's 13 league goals in 18 games is disastrous but Jackson's 9 goals in 17 games is not, let's call it a day bro.
Context is important, bros. You’ve been criticising MJ because he failed to score yesterday. But I can’t remember him having more than four chances to score, including a penalty, and he failed to do so.

We can all agree that his numbers are not the best, and he is not Haaland either. However, how would you describe a player of Haaland's quality who has missed several opportunities to bail his team out in the last 13 games?
Did Haaland deliberately miss over four chances, including a penalty, yesterday or what? Is he trying to get his coach sacked or for City to turn into a mediocre team? Why would the best striker in the world choose not to help his team win a single game in 13, bros?

Oh, I forgot about the tired legs. Is the almighty Haaland suffering from tired legs too?

And if we are no longer discussing strikers like MJ, who failed to score in every game to secure their team’s three points, I guess we can all excuse Haaland then.

Haaland has been carrying those tired legs since the season started and it's normal for the burden to tell on him as it is right now. Haaland has 13 goals.
Do you mean in the last 13 games, bros?

Even our so called third-tier-striker (MJ) is not dropping these disastrous stats this season.

We don't have tired legs like City in our team. Sterling has been chased way.

Do you know the major reason Grealish has more Epl titles than the great Salah?

Only Haaland as golden boot winners, delivered 2 Epl titles for the drunkard and Fraudiola didn't
replace Grealish before winning the elusive Ucl.

Maresca is a graduate of Fraudiola school of football, but he doesn't want to put the round peg in that round striker's hole. Anyways, he must have seen the light by bundling Jackson out of games recently.
Are you saying Haaland has tired legs too? I don’t understand bros.
In case you missed their match yesterday, he missed over three chances created by those so-called tired legs and still failed to convert a free penalty. Surely, you must have a better excuse than tired legs for Haaland, who has literally ghosted in the last 13 games now. Take it easy please cheesy

You are the one who is overrating Nigerian youth.

The CBN governor says only about 5% Nigerians have N500,000 and above in their bank accounts.

https://nairametrics.com/2024/02/24/only-about-5-of-nigerians-have-over-n500000-in-their-bank-accounts-wale-edun/

If Diggz says over 90% of Nigerian youth will not see N160m in their lifetime, he is not wrong at all. You need to ask yourself how much do Civil servants who are graduates earn? Even people have attained level 15,16,17 in civil service; what is their pension as at the time of retirement?

Those are people who are employed o, what of those that are neither employed nor have viable business running ? Most people practically live from hand to mouth. Where dem wan see N160m in their lifetime? Bar few youth who engage in Yahoo Yahoo and maybe those into tech & crypto, N160m no easy to see for person lifetime like that o
I was being even generous when I said 90% because I know there are Nigerians living outside the country who still consider themselves Nigerians and are doing really well. If I focus only on Nigerians based in Nigeria and am strict with my numbers, I would raise that figure to 98% or more. I'm not trying to be derogatory in any way; I'm just stating facts!

Striker's position is very important even when you have top players like Neymar, Messi, Robben or Ribery as your wingers.

It's because of the ineffectiveness of Jackson in the box that we are seeing the weaknesses of our wingers in scoring.

In our last 2 Matches we have seen multiple assists Jackson had denied Palmer, Sancho, Cucurella and others. We need striker that can save the team with goals in difficult situations. Jackson is not that striker.
Agreed! But how do we explain wingers like Salah racking up goals and assists when Liverpool's main strikers like Nunez or Jota aren’t on the pitch, and Gakpo is being played as a winger these days?

And how do we explain that City isn’t doing better than us this season, even with the best striker in the world, Haaland?

The truth is, you’re right that we need a striker, no doubt! However, it’s simply crazy that all our wingers are putting up such poor numbers. The more I think about Sancho earning 250k with his miserable stats, the angrier I get. Neto and Madueke need to step it up too!

Make we spread the blame round bro

The thing is Most Nigerians don't care how u judge their spirit whether u call it a poor spirit or a rich spirit grin

Just last week a friend was still telling me how he was trying to raise funds amongst the youth in their church to bail a youth member who was arrested by the police.

The lady was arrested because she's the admin for an ajo/esusu contribution group. They would contribute funds and each member will pack the contribution based on whatever number they fall under. Being the admin she is in charge of disbursing funds to whoever's turn it was to pack the funds.

She disbursed to a member who was number 2 and that one just exited the group, blocked her everywhere and was nowhere to be found. The funds was around 400k. Being the admin of the group, the other members believe she must provide the member that ran off with the funds without planning to pay back.

So the police arrested the admin and it was her church members that were running around to have her released and even provide the N400k to the other members who have vowed to deal with the admin except she produces the thief and thier funds.

Imagine someone running off with 400k without even thinking they might decide to track her and make life miserable for her? Does that person even care about her soul is being judged?
Omo, it is well o! Very sad!

You are very correct , people have turned off the tap on sums that are way lesser than N160m sef .

I’ve seen bankers who earn decent salaries , have access to mortgage financed by the bank and doing well for themselves financially still immersing themselves into stupiid fraud that ended their career .
Ibim's thoughts are spot on—if VDM turns off the tap and walks away with the money, it shows he has a poor spirit. But honestly, Ibim is also someone whose reality is pretty far from what most Nigerians deal with, even though he tries to stay connected.
Shebi, you’re talking about bank workers, right? Those ones are still employees. I’ve seen wealthy employers of labour do the same for way less, not to mention young online hustling activists with no work history as an adult. I’m pretty sure over 50% of Nigerians would grab that money and waka!

I wouldn't put it past him looking for something to trend with, and the money will suddenly reappear

But if he swiped that money then he is very poor in spirit. Why turn off a tap that can keep flowing at just N160m?
I totally get what you're saying. But let's be real—who among today's Nigerian youths or even Nigerians in general wouldn't just turn off the tap and walk away with N160 million? That kind of money is something over 90% of people can only dream about in their lifetime, so it's totally possible. Sure, if he does walk away with it, he is defo poor in spirit, but I've seen folks who are supposedly in way better positions than him do it for much less.

Getting another striker have NEVER been an issue here. We all agree to that. But is it our major issue right now? That's where the problem is.

Remember that the prolific striker that will come in will have some off days. What then happen those days? Can the support cast step in? Can the defence protect any slender lead? It's not possible to have a striker go scores in EVERY match. Even Messi and Ronaldo at their prime have off days.
I agree with the points you’ve made. But the truth is, we can hold multiple views at once.

Do we need an upgrade on Jackson and maybe the whole frontline, except for Palmer? Yes! Do we need to improve our defense? Yes!

We need to get a better striker to push MJ out of the main spot. We also need to buy a better keeper and change up most of the backline.e.g. 2RCB, 2RWB, Back up LWB plus 1LCB.

Nottingham Forest needed just a goal to collect 3 points from Tottenham.

By the time they scored their goal, Chelsea was also one goal up.

Nottingham collected maximum points but Chelsea left with zero points. The difference? You guess is as good as mine.

You can't agree with his agenda and still have differing opinion with him grin grin

His agenda is clear: Jackson is shyte and should be replaced. Nothing Jackson does is good enough. That's the clear agenda.... For you to point out why Jackson should be cut some slack shows you don't agree with his agenda.
Alright, I see what you mean, so let me rephrase my position for you.

To be clear, I share similar position as Airmark because I think we should find a better striker to take the pressure off Jackson. This way, MJ can focus on developing his skills without the weight of being the main guy. Nkunku should be sold asap!

I totally agree that we need a stronger/better striker and that MJ should be criticised fairly when he fvcks up. But I don’t think it’s fair for MJ to take all the blame whenever we lose points. Airmark needs to be just as tough on our other attackers as he is on MJ.
