airmark: Saying Jackson is delivering is nothing but fallacy, and I criticised those defending him even when his misses took points from us.
The likes of Timbros wouldn't put him in their Fpl teams but they want him to continue leading Chelsea's attack.
We need to replace him possibly this January, so that others will also sit right. If you think MJ isn't delivering at his level, then you must have the wrong expectations of him. He’s not a £100 million striker, and he isn’t making 250k like Sancho, who’s currently robbing us blind. He’s not Haaland, but he’s definitely better than Solanke and has outperformed all our attackers except for Palmer. In my opinion, he’s over-performing. He’s better than our £100 million bag of beans, Lakaka. He’s proven to be more prolific than literally all our strikers in the past decade or so, except for Costa. You're right to criticise Jackson when he misses chances. But Sancho had several opportunities to take a shot yesterday; have you criticised him at all? The less said about Neto for now, the better. Meanwhile, you haven't addressed my point about Haaland. Why has he failed to bail his team out in almost 10 games now? Haaland is still the most prolific striker in the world. Dude had over 3 chances yesterday, including a penalty, yet his team only managed to take one point in a game where he could have secured all 3 points, which were much needed. I agree it's okay to criticise Jackson, but what are your thoughts on Haaland, Sancho, Neto, and Madueke? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by diggz: 8:26am On Dec 27, 2024 |
airmark: I blamed Maresca and Chelsea for not sending him on loan as I suggested, before the window closed. He was/is not ready to led our attack.
We saw Gyokeres for club and country scoring goals that Jackson wouldn't score. His numbers for club and country is enough to tell one that he is better than Jackson in front of goal and in the box.
Any striker with 1 goal in 19 matches for his country , shouldn't be the main striker for a top club like Chelsea. The red flag is obvious. Please keep blaming the club and the coach, not MJ. He has nothing to do with this. He is doing his job. The club can sign another striker whenever they think it's necessary. Also, we shouldn’t focus all our energy on MJ alone. Sancho, earning 250k, should also be under scrutiny for his contribution. If we look closely, he’s making twice MJ's salary, nearly as much as Mo Salah, so he needs to step up his performance to justify his wages. If he fails to do so, he should be let go by the end of the season. In fact, if possible, we might as well terminate his loan in January given his output so far. Madueke and Neto need to do better too. We're tired of seeing Neto run around like a headless chicken, while that Aba Lil Baby pretending to be a footballer, Madueke, just dribbles all day, taking 100 shots per game without scoring. We need to criticise all our players, not just zero in on one of them, bro. |

Kimbeast: Bro Nkunku won golden boot playing the 10 or supporting striker role in Germany. He is capable of getting double digits in league goals with constant game time. Palmer was great on the wing last season. He scored the same number of goals. My brother, Timo, and Havertz were fantastic players in Germany before they came to the EPL. We all know how we feel about those two players now. PS - We have too many players on the left wing, including those currently in the club, on loan, and those expected to join soon. We shouldn’t complicate our problems just to fit in a bum. He should leave ASAP. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by diggz: 8:09am On Dec 27, 2024 |
airmark: The point is we made a mistake of using an unriped striker that should have been corrected before the season started.
I never rated Morata, and you know. Havertz is not a natural striker. Higuain was washed when we got him on loan. Let's leave those and talk about finishers available now that are confident to score in the box. Gyokeres will not be as goal-shy as Jackson in the box.
We should not continue to be a laughing stock regarding the striker leading our line. Spurs won't even bench Solanke for Jackson. Agreed! But whose fault is it that we went into the season with an unripe striker? Is it the striker’s fault or the club’s fault? If it’s the club’s fault, shouldn’t you be pointing fingers at them instead of MJ? I repeat, not even Gyokeres would have guaranteed us 3 points yesterday. If I’m not mistaken, Haaland missed more than 3 clear chances, including a free penalty. Useless Solanke couldn’t help his team either; they got beaten by Forrest. Jackson has 9 PL goals and 3 assists, while Solanke, who is a more proven EPL striker, has only 6 PL goals and 3 assists. God forbid Spurs get their hands on a half-decent striker like MJ. |

Kimbeast: I understand your take but he is way better than his performances suggest. I would like to see him in that 10 role for 2 to 3 league matches before drawing final conclusions. He needs the step up or find his way out. Sorry, I'm a bit confused here. You want to see Nkunku in the 10 position instead of Palmer? Abeg, no oooo… that bum can’t replicate Palmer’s numbers in that role. Plus, we’ve seen Palmer on the wings before, and he wasn’t great there. We don’t want another Havertz experiment; that bum should go ply his trade elsewhere, abeg. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by diggz: 7:47am On Dec 27, 2024 |
Kimbeast: Those are two different sentences. I disagreed with his assessment of Nkunku and also highlighted how Cucurella missed a point blank header that would have killed the game plus his laziness for the 2nd goal. Cucurellad is becoming cocky. I completely disagree with your assessment of Cucu. No offense, but it sounds like you don’t engage much in physical activities. First of all, Cucu had no business being in that position for a free header, and he did the best he could at that moment. Secondly, considering how actively he was involved in moving forward to combine with the attackers, covering spaces in the midfield, and defending at the same time, it’s not surprising that fatigue set in during the later stages of the game. I won’t hold him accountable for the second goal; instead, it’s the chronic gambler pretending to be our keeper, Sanchez, who is really responsible here. PS - I could even argue that bringing on the bum Nkunku led to the second goal. Lol |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by diggz: 7:36am On Dec 27, 2024 |
Kimbeast: The issue with Nkunku is that he is not a sub player. He will hardly make an impact with 15 mins to go. The nigga is sulking from sitting on the bench. The other problems you didn't mention are that he's not a starter, not a proper striker, not a hustler, and just a positionless bum. Hopefully, we can collect small thing for him soon, so e fit go sulk for another team. Useless player! |

Kimbeast: I disagree on Nkunku.
Cucurella was insane for that also missed a point blank header that would have put the game to bed. Cucu isn't a striker. Comparing him to Nkunku in any way just highlights how useless a player Nkunku is for the team. Honestly, Nkunku is a total bum, no doubt about it. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by diggz: 7:25am On Dec 27, 2024 |
Kimbeast: There's nothing wrong with Palmer going to the wing to accommodate another goal getter in Nkunku playing that 10 role. Nkunku as a 10 is also a beast. Nkunku is a bum! Person wey no fit track back or press or hold play. Nah man….the bum needs to fvck off asap. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by diggz: 7:24am On Dec 27, 2024 |
airmark: He hasn't delivered up to the expected Chelsea's standard, that's why he is not playing full time recently. That's why in our last 12 goals he only scored 1. Thats why Raumdeuter doesn't want him to replace oldman Kane at Bayern.
We spent over 1.2bn on players and the most important position upfront we filled it with an average striker, with1 goal in 18 matches for his national team. That should be corrected, as we need a striker that can carry the team when our wingers down tools.
Anelka trained from his younger age as a finisher, while Jackson was called Neymar in Senegal because of his flicks and not for his scoring skills. Only TB Joshua and he is dead, may do that miracle on a striker, who Ibime said his legs are not straight. You speak of MJ like he’s one of our marquee signings, but he is not. He is an unpolished, unfinished developing player. The club and the coach know this, along with most of the fan base and football heads. You know I am fully in support of us getting a better striker, so there’s no agenda from my side. However, I listed a bunch of strikers we’ve spent substantial fees on, plus our academy players, and none of them beats Jackson in any metrics. For the old monikers here, please correct me if I’m wrong. Some of us can remember how Anelka started with us until Carlo came through to strike a deadly partnership between him and Didier, and the rest was history. So, I believe MJ has a future here, even if not as the main striker. While we are scrutinising his performance, I would like to remind you that the world’s deadliest striker, Haaland, missed chances yesterday, including a penalty. He failed to secure a much needed 3pts for his team at their lowest moment. He had not one, two or three chances including a free Penalty, but he still failed to deliver. Also, could you remind us again what Haaland's contributions have looked like in the past couple of games? My point is that even if we get MJ's replacement tomorrow, there’s no guarantee that he will get us our three points all the time. A case in point is Didier (our legend) f00lishly getting himself sent off against ManU during a UCL final, but had the opportunity to redeem himself a few years later against raumdeuter's Bayern. Even DD was proper rubbish in his first and second season with us until he peaked form. MJ can still come good too. I rest my case. |

Maresca has been mentioning a number of times now that Madueke is not training well. Saying he scored and thinks he's arrived. It means exactly what some of us think and been saying for a while now - he's got poor professional attitude in training, and rightly, must not play. Point of correction, Madueke must be sold abeg. We don’t need someone with midget numbers acting like Prime Ronaldo and Salah combined. He should fvck off to spurs with that attitude. Thank God Madueke is not Palmer oooo |

popizaino: Our previous match against Everton made me realise that Maresca is just a one way tactician. You needed a goal but yet you are substituting your striker for another inefficient striker Nkuku. Is it a sin to have both of them together upfront? And what happened to removing Neto while Plamer goes to the wink, and either the Nkuku or Felix to the ten role? And if Sancho continues to be cutting back, you remove him and put Madueke. I agree with your point. However, abeg palmer should never be moved to the wings. Instead make Felix go try him luck for wings. To be honest, Felix and Sancho needs to share that right side going forward. |

airmark: Yes we can upgrade other wings but our striker's position have never been irritatingly mediocre. Our striker should be good enough to play 90 minutes regularly and not get bundled out for being useless in the box. In recent years, we’ve had the following strikers: Fernandud, Orimida aka Morata, Timo, Havertz, Higuan, Eto, Shevy, Tammy, Broja, and Lukaku. Which one of these strikers would you rather have playing ahead of MJ right now? We also have Nkunku, who we all thought was going to be our main striker, but he's been underwhelming. I absolutely agree that we need a better finisher than MJ. However, he hasn't done badly for an unknown striker that we bought for peanuts. I would even argue that he has delivered, he is delivering, and he’s still pushing above his weight MJ could even develop his game to be our modern-day Anelka—who knows lol But our wingers really need to step up or be ready to be shipped out. In my eyes, Sancho, who’s on 250k but delivering not even half of Salah's figures, should be sent back to ManU unless he chooses to earn 80k with us. Madueke and Neto also need to up their games or look for another club in the near future. |
