No be say you go dey form intelligent

Lol no vex. It's not intentional. This is something I'vet hought about so I just regurgitated some of the main ideas I remember.

The only uncommon thing there is associative hierarchy which is just a fancy word for your ability to associate things with one another. Its common amongst multitaskers and polyglots (speakers of many languages) To illustrate what I mean if I say "apple" to someone who isn't highly associative he would just think "fruit" but a highly associative fellow would think "fruit, red, computer, sweet, Steve Jobs"

The other somewhat technical psychology terms aren't that uncommon. Working memory; capacity to hold items in memory. Spatial reasoning; ability to reason about positions in space. Fluid intelligence; ability to solve novel problems that typically don't rely on stale information. Crystallized intelligence, brilliance that depends on long term memory.

My point is that we all have different helpings of all these features of intelligence. Different games shift the proportions in different ways that could reinforce or degrade ones original state.

Depends on the type of game and on your psyche architecture and also depends on how far along you're in your cognitive development and it depends on your definition of smart. For example, If you're scatterbrained smart (ADHD type) you wouldn't suffer from the flattening of your associative hierarchy that fast paced FPS style games induce. It could actually benefit you. But if you're the extremely focused clear minded type with a steep associative hierarchy your attention span could suffer.

There are many more examples along those lines that affect core components of one's cognitive complex; working memory, fluid intelligence, crystallized intelligence, spacial reasoning, etc.

Games do shift psyche design. Whether you come out of that shift smarter would depend on so many things.

So I guess the answer is it depends.

Posterity will judge GEJ fairly.

Providence brought you this far sir, Congrats for writing your name in gold.

Your best wishes for this country was never hidden as we saw in your achievements in almost all sectors, roads, bridges, railways, agriculture, automobile, alamajiri schools, new universities, fertilizer and ghost worker scam elimination, freedom of press, FOI, free and fair elections, power sector.....etc

Even until late, you kept Nigeria first and saved Nigeria from impending anarchy that could have trailed a tribunal or election rejection even when you could.

You were not as forceful as Nigerians wished because of our years of military rule. We lacked patience to see your policies come into tangible fruition. You were grossly misunderstood and propaganda from the opposition camp fuelled the government apathy of the impatient populace.

I will always maintain that you are Nigeria's best president. We were few months away from implementing the confab report that would have enthroned true federalism which would have set us on the path of recovery and greatness.

I am certain posterity will judge you fairly. Through all the insults, you never reacted. You gave all freedom like we've never seen before.

IF WE MUST PRACTICE DEMOCRACY, YOU ARE THE TEMPLATE.

I don't think you lost this election, you are just a victim of a sectional majority and Nigeria actually lost you instead.

I know we Nigerians are an impatient lot with unachievable high hopes for the incoming government. In few months time, after our hopes have been met with reality. ... then we shall sing your praises.

Whenever the history of this country will be written, your section will be in gold.

Go with your head up high, even you opponents would not have taken the step you took on this journey.

You remain my HERO.

True talk.

Wetin dey vex me pass be say come 2019 Buhari would try to ride on the coattails of some of GEJ's late bloom projects. I know GEJ wouldn't be fazed anyway. "A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in."

I don't know if someone has mentioned this already.
It's basic number theory.

Odd+odd=even
Even+odd=odd
Even+even=even

Therefore

Odd+odd+odd=(odd+odd)+odd=(even)+odd=odd
since all the numbers are odd and 30 is even there's no solution

Except you're looking for 15+15+0=30

Do you know how many billion of $$$$ that has been shipped out of this country just to be hidden?
Do you know how many billion of $$$$ that is idle in this nation?
Sum them together and imagine those theives could bring it out without fear.

Dangote worth just over $20 billion, then see all Dangote investment and imagine the number of jobs he has created and the opportunities he has given others to create wealth.

If you juxtapose it with amount stolen, you will know that we have 1000 potential Dangote which can in turn produce 1000 time Dangote's employment and 1000 times Dangote's wealth creating opportunities for others.

For me I think this is a little sacrifice we can make for better economy and development of Nigeria.

Don't get me wrong, I have a strong stance against corruption and I wish we make effective laws to curb this menance.

However I still stand my ground it is of no good to Nigeria and those thieves if the stolen money is buried somewhere in Nigeria and stashed abroad because they could not spend it freely.

I have been preaching the same thing for ages. These folks cart our money and stash it in the Luxembourgs and Switzerlands of the world and build all sorts of investment property in foreign countries. If we can close eye and forgive the theft, as painful as it will be, and give them protections while they invest in Nigeria the country would transform overnight.

Amaechi will go down as the greatest disgrace from the southern part of Nigeria.

Even after spending funds meant to develop rivers people on bankrolling and campaining for a presidential candidate at the expense of his people. ...... He is still bent on setting the state on fire before heading to Abuja to assume his cabinet tole under Buhari

Is it not clear to him that Rivers people are averse to APC?

Is it not clear enough that APC is unpopular in the south south and south east?

What point is Amaechi trying to make by causing violence and killing Rivers people for a role he is not assuming himself?

After Wike is sworn in, and the probe begins and we figure out how much Amaechi spent on Buhari's campaign at the expense of Rivers people, then shall prosecute him adequately

And hopefully, Buhari who should be fighting corruption at that time cannot afford to have such criminal with stolen funds charges hanging around his neck within his cabinet.

Amaechi's case shall be a true test of Buhari's fight against corruption.

Buhari won't do jack about Amaechi. If we thought IBB was a problem Buhari is about to surprise us.

Something just feels wrong about testing or engaging in premarital sex. For me, men are tge main issue here. It's always a 'watch your back' situation. Most men will say such things are normal to them, but a woman who believes that is most likely going to see herself single and old in the next ten years, and the man would be married to a very decent no - testing lady.

Men are very dishonest in many many cases. Even if they marry the tested lady, they will hold an opinion of her deep inside forever, an opinion which is not pleasant at all. So better safe than sorry right? The last thing any woman wants to be called is S.L.U.T

Interesting points. I think we overlap in a lot of places.

Oh please, this mentality of yours only works for guys. So what if u test a girl and she's not matching your standard, then you will move on to the next one and keep going? How many would you have tested before you find the right one?
The funny part of it is that a man won't be affected by all this TESTING. In our society, men are praised for promiscuity. But it's the woman, who will carry ALL the blame. If you are using such methods, how will you sleep at night when you ponder about how many men your wife also tested before finally testing you last and accepting you? From there, insults cannot be dodged by the woman in later years, IF you decide to call her an old cargo, because she will always remember that she didn't present herself in a respectful manner when you two met.

You won't even let your sis practice this theory of 'testing' or dare give your kids such a piece of advice. So why the hypocrisy?

I'm no angel, but I'm all against premarital sex.

Yeah. To each his own.

My views about sex are gender agnostic. It is African society whose values place a disproportionate burden on women. Honestly, that's the problem that needs fixing. If male and female sex lives were treated equally would you hold the same position about premarital sex? I would be happy to know your reasoning if it isn't steeped in a need to conform or, more appropriately, accrue perceived value from abstinence.

Don't get me wrong.I understand your position or at least I think I do. I'm just pointing out that it is a consequence of a skewed society that places unwarranted and gender-unequal value on sex. And it seems to me you admit as much so I guess we are on the same page. What I disagree with is pretending like abstinence is the superior position and that's why you choose to avoid premarital sex.

Yeah I don't see how the no sex before marriage crowd don't recognize it's a needles gamble. It must have been stated a million times before; Sex is the most intimate interaction you'll have with your spouse and you choose to stall till after marriage? I get the traditional mindset of choosing not to defile yourself but is it worth the possibility of lifelong sexual frustration? It's just like saying no arguments before marriage then after you chop wedding cake you realize your spouse is a kickboxer. The wholething is counterintuitive Mental slavery.

I honestly don't understand why people hate this man so much that even the glaring good he did is denied. It beggars belief. If the roles were reversed Buhari would not have accepted defeat in good faith, he has a long history establishing that precedent and the same goes for many of our previous presidents that ostensibly believe their retention for power is worth a couple of lives.

You can call him a loser or corrupt or clueless but because of his gallant acceptance of defeat there are a handful of people living and breathing today that would otherwise be in a morgue. It's a pity that petty partisanship can lead some of us to deny that heroic act of compassion and patriotism. That they can't forget the man and embrace that lone good even though their brother or sister may owe their lives to his very atypical exit is just sad.

Politics / Re: How Jonathan Defeated Obasanjo by digitalembrace(m): 4:21pm On Apr 03, 2015
calebo101:
Please nobody should ever mention Jonathan and Obasanjo in same sentence, they are miles apart!!!

Obasanjo oversaw 2 elections and none of them was free and fair, Jonathan did. Obasanjo had 8 peaceful years of leadership he did NOTHING for Nigeria, Jonathan in 5 years did much more despite the demons from the North tormenting him. Jonathan laid the bedrock of democracy for Nigeria and Africa. It's not easy for a sitting president to sign the FOI bill when you know it would be used to witch hunt you, Jonathan did!

Under Obasanjo's tenure, Bola Ige, Harry Marshall, and a whole lot of political assassinations occurred even when the political climate was not tense, Jonathan's tenure despite the tensed political atmosphere never recorded a single assassination and nobody was or went on exile.

Obasanjo was so deluded he claimed Jonathan was training snipers with people on watch-list, how mad can a man get?? That midget El-Rufai was on exile during Yar'Adua's tenure and could only come back to Nigeria to flex his mouth because Jonathan allowed it.

Jonathan's defeat was just a powerful merger of the Northerners and SOME of their South-Western allies. If Jonathan was to be a Yoruba or an Hausa man, he would have been the BEST president by miles Nigeria ever had. But unfortunately he is a minority and not in control of the mass and social media, that's his bane.

All they had to do was give a dog a bad name in order to hang it, and they did it. Suddenly Jonathan became the most corrupt man ever in Nigeria. They conveniently forgot Abacha's loot which decades later is still being discovered and recovered. They also forgot Obasanjo's romance with the Halliburton scandal and Siemens's scandal and the shameless "Ghana must go" saga when Obasanjo tried to buy a third term in office. They forgot Obasanjo and Atiku never built any university for Nigeria but established their own private universities.

But like someone said, Jonathan lost Nigeria and won Africa and the World. Even in defeat Obasanjo has been trounced thoroughly by the man from the creeks. Watch how Jonathan becomes an Africa statesman after his handover and how world leaders use him as a reference point on the growth of democracy in Nigeria cum Africa. Being clueless seems to be a blessing after all.

Unlike Obasanjo who gatecrashes into Africa countries to give his unsolicited advise. Useless old man without a family and without dignity.

My brother don't mind them. A president that institutionalized free and fair elections regardless of the consequences then accepted defeat in good faith. That alone sets him apart from every president we've had in decades.
