What is the excuse or the emergency for the incumbent not to endure a few more hours in office, if not that they are trying to force a constitutional loophole. The current owners of Nigeria PLC are in desperate times.
Help me ask them ooooo! Why is he so desperate to create a power vacuum of 24hours before the due date?

Every rational thinking human will understand the sinister motive behind GEJ's plot to handover earlier than the constitutionally stipulated date.
This is a man that vigorously campaigned for re-election by all means. Why is he so suddenly fed-up with the office for just one day till he is due to quit? Why didn't he resign since early last year when it became very glaring that he does not have what it takes to lead this country?

Must you be this wicked and heartless?
we already have started counting because I remember all the APC campaign promises starting feom 1Naira to 1 Dollar and loads of others.
We know PDP thieves are afraid of Buhari. We know Jonathan is weak and powerless to stand up to them.
Buhari never promised to make a dollar equivalent to a naira. He is not like Jonathan that makes promises he can't keep. Advice your evil PDP to desist from trying to hand over power to the military, wait for Buhari to be sworn in, then you see real, effective leadership!

I tot the idea of May 28 was silly. But now I am not sure if yours is worse.
You people must be in Jona's head to know most of these things he does in private. Or maybe you have refuse to grow up despite the support from Nigerians. Face it. Your job is no longer that of a town "alariwo". We are expecting the change for real.
Expect a government that will not leave anything to chance in APC! You seem to underestimate the desperation of corrupt PDP politicians. While some are secretly returning their loot, others are trying to ensure that they will never be probed by plotting to destabilize Nigeria. As you know, Jonathan is a very weak president and is powerless to stop them.

Politics › Jonathan's May 28 Handover Date A Plot To Invite A Military Coup. by dinachi(op): 5:01am On Apr 18, 2015
It is no longer news that President Goodluck Jonathan has announced his evil plans to do a formal handing over to President-elect Gen. Muhammadu Buhari of the APC on may 28 instead of the formal May 29th handing over, thereby creating a power vacuum for a few hours to enable the military led by Jonathan's kinsman General Kenneth Minima to swing into action and take over the reins of power under the guise of protecting the seat of power!
This is a clarion call to all Nigerians to arise and reject the evil plan.
We will recall that Doyin Okupe, the special assistant to Jonathan on Public affairs had before the elections insisted that Jonathan will never hand over power to Buhari which necessitated the APC to raise alarm about a possible coup plot. The Jonathan administration could not go ahead with this plot then partly due to Jega's resilience and doggedness and also due to immense pressure from the international community urging Jonathan to accept the results. Failing in their plots to kidnap Jega, the same hawks in the presidency have now regrouped to continue with the coup plot by creating a power vacuum from may 28th to enable the military take over.
Therefore, Nigerians must arise and reject this move for peace to reign in our country.
Maybe, we made a terrible mistake by ever voting for a very clannish Ijaw man to be President of this country. Nigerians shine una eyes!

this thing happened almost 50 years ago, and about 60 percent of the Igbo population wasn't even born then. If people like you had their way Igbo youths who have never even seen these so called properties would carry another generation's issues on their head like jobless people. In short people like you may even take us 113 years back in time to the Aro wars so that we can carry another Igbo generation's problem on our heads .
A crime is a crime! Those houses and lands are still there..so let the Ijaws release the houses and we Igbos can now believe that they are genuine.

My Igbo brothers una don hear am ba? This is an eye opener. All other regions returned Igbo properties after the war except the Ijaws of the south south. Till date many of them are living in houses seized from their Igbo neighbors. They call you their brother because they needed us to support Jonathan. Now that Jonathan has been defeated, watch and see their true colors.

Thanks OP for this thread! Many of our Igbo brothers and sisters ignorant about the deep resentment and hatred Ijaws have for Igbos keep shouting about Jonathan this,Jonathan that. Why did Jonathan not push for compensation for the siezed Igbo properties? Any Igbo man calling Jonathan his brother is seriously mentally ill!

Politics › Jonathan Should Compensate Igbos For The Injustice Of Abandoned Property By Ijaw by dinachi(op): 4:14pm On Apr 16, 2015
Before Goodluck Jonathan hands over, he should right the wrongs by his Ijaw brothers to compensate Igbos whose properties were seized in Port Harcourt under an Ijaw Governor Alfred Diette Spiff. Secondly, he should cancel the planned toll gate on the second Niger bridge unless he wants to put the Igbo into perpetual slavery of paying toll for 25 years. That is wickedness. So bros Jona, pls do the needful.

You this fool, if there are abandoned properties, it is those who can claim ownership of those properties with proof that should be leading the charge, not people like you who cannot lay claim to any whatsoever. If those who lost properties have decided to move on, who are wretched people like you to continue harping on about it?
If....so you are doubting that. Well thank God for Buharis victory! Igbos now know their real enemy....the Ijaws! Never again will we vote for a conniving, clueless, silly bowler hat wearing Ijaw man. Under Buhari, we will push for compensation for the abandoned property ...at least we will get a fair hearing. Jonathan the hater of Igbos will never get our support ever again. We will also push for the cancellation of the second niger bridge toll gate that Jonathan initiated to humiliate the Igbos and put us in perpetual slavery for 25 years.

We know those who are displaced by Boko Haram, we hear their cries everyday.
Why is it that it is foolish and wretched people like you who cannot point to even half plot of land owned by their fore fathers in PH that are always shouting about abandoned properties? I haven't seen a single one of them that can point to any property belonging to them that was seized.
You are speaking for yourself and poor family not Igbos.
Why is it that it is poor foolish people like you who does not have any landed property that trivializes the siezed Igbo properties now worth billions of naira under an Ijaw governor Alfred Dieete Spiff? Jonathan who didn't lift a finger to right these grievous wrongs against ndigbo by his people the Ijaws inspite of their support is the one to be blamed by ohaneze, instead of Buhari that is yet to take oath of office.

Politics › Igbos Will Support APC Moment Buhari Is Sworn In. by dinachi(op): 1:14am On Apr 14, 2015
How I wish my people will change their attitude of voting only the government in power at the centre since 1999. Well, the good side is that Igbos will lead Buharis campaign and support APC moment Buhari is sworn in.
Surprising? No! In 2003, Igbos rejected APGA presidential Candidate Ojukwu, they also rejected Dr Chuba Okadigbo who was running mate to Buhari and they voted Obasanjo a Yoruba man! 2007, the cycle repeated with Yaradua, they abandoned Ojukwu again, they abandoned Sen Ben Obi who was running mate to Atiku, they also abandoned Right Hon Edwin Umezuoke who was running mate to Buhari, They voted Yardadua, a hausa fulani man. In 2011, they voted Jonathan simply because he was in power! 2019 they will only vote APC,because we are now in power.

Amaechi lost contact with the people...Dakuku is a good man but a very poor politician and very weak personality. I saw him a few times and I was sad that he wasn't bold and confident. On the other hand Wike love him or hate him was everywhere throwing everything at APC. He sounds very convincing and delivers his arguments with great confidence and boldness. Amaechi should have looked for a very strong character to match Wike... Wike completely outclassed Dakuku as a politician. As for the hand bill depicting Amaechi and Dakuku as betrayers, I still do not know why they couldn't counter it with their own that will depict Wike as a betrayer of rivers people and pursuing an Ikwerre agenda by insisting to replace amaechi. If I was in Amaechis shoes, I would have won the state elections hands down.

True to predictions, Rivers state gubernatorial elections is full of surprises. As I write, there is palpable tension in PDP camp with patience Jonathan moving back and forth between okrika and Inec office in Aba road. While wike and corhorts were busy celebrating victory in a few ikwerre LGAs, Dakuku was busy doing the needful in riverine areas and port Harcourt. As of now Dakuku is leading in 17 LGAs.
