Hello everyone, happy weekend. Chicken is a very popular source protein and their are various methods of preparing it such as frying, roasting or grilling etc. Here is a special chicken recipe I made by steaming. This method locks in all the flavours and nutrient. It is very delicious, succulent and juicy.
ZINNYBANKS: We are all Lairs in Nigeria . people will tell u no money and yet first bank ATM at orita is always full even in the evening ... If you scold this op now she self go tell u say no money and she dey cook assorted fish lol. All these things wey una dey do buhari no go take us serious oo..
Hahahaha , man must survive no matter the circumstance.
TerraJonesa: Thank you for a simple potato dish recipe. It's always easier to look at visual cues than text cues. So your photos are useful. Actually, I rarely buy sweet potatoes since they seem like boiled carrots. But this recipe looks delicious. I think I saw a similar sweet potato recipe in quickezrecipes when I was looking for ideas for a simple dinner. I often have no ideas, so I cook easy soups, pizza or baked potatoes. Thant's why I started looking for recipes ideas on this site or forums. I think you'll appreciate them if you like vegetable dishes. But there are also meat ones, of course.
Probz: Someone elsewhere in the Nairaland kitchen made a bolognese-remix with big beans, olives and stew-chicken but this is a proper bolognese-lite dish. Well done, you.
okirewaju: I always use leek and spring onion for my fried rice but I've never used celery.
I watched a video where a cook immersed the boiled rice inside a big pan of groundnut oil like she was frying it then she drained the oil and she claimed it's a proof against it going sour as she runs a restaurant.
Try celery, the flavour is also nice in fried rice
Hello everyone, During the christmas holiday, i made this delicious fried rice meal with a unique touch. I added leek and celery that gave it a very distinct flavour. So my family and I had a finger "leeking" experience . I hope you will try it out too and also experience the goodness.
INGREDIENTS Rice Meat stock Tumeric powder Curry powder Seasoning and salt Pepper Sausage

That's how I encouraged my cousin to engage a certain nairaland chef to cook for his wedding, due to the impressive food pictures she posts here..
The food she cooked for us ended up being a disaster.. Parts of the rice were not done, with excess seasoning, springrolls soaked in oil, among other stuff, and for reasons best known to her, meat she provided got finished before 150 guests had been served.. And yes, she dished the food herself and provided her own servers who she insisted we pay separately..
This was despite that online chef collected more than a Million naira to feed 250 wedding guests.. .. We had to have her arrested before she admitted it was her 1st time cooking for a large number of people, hence the bad food.. Till date, Aunty can't explain how meat didn't reach more than half of the guests despite the humongous amount she was paid..
Whoever wants to engage these people for cooking jobs should be careful.. Anyone can be anything online..
So sorry you learnt with a bad experience. Large cooking takes skill, technique and experience thats why is not everybody that can do it. That someone cooks very well on social media does not mean the person is a caterer or can cook for crowd cos they mostly cook in small portions to teach people how to cook different delicacies. Thank God the matter was settled but i still feel your pain.
