Gurus in the house please help!

My SRT 497s decoder displays only MYTV LOGO for like 2 sec and goes blank. It doesn't recognize remote control any longer. No activity at all .Only the 'ON INDICATOR' is seen. Pressing the power button does nothing too.
Please help.

You can use it for free to air. I just pray they open it to patch before they go off. Mine was gotten 17 of September last year

That's very terrible. I just spent 30k plus to acquire their srt 497s decoder a month ago.
Although I am still enjoying their channels but this is a bad news.
Is it possible to use my decoder with another network by pairing my smart card?

OP point of correction. Your narration is sketchy and lacks in-dept findings.
That incident happened on Saturday and that picture above is never Nkpor junction.
However I want to appreciate your courage for showing the outside world what we
do experience at the junction. Stealing, snatching of phone, gunshot, macheting, keke snatching and bottle

Where I nailed the dish partially faced the sun rise position.
But somebody assisted me by holding and adjusting the dish location directly towards the sun this morning.
As usual, the signal strength remained 60%. Signal quality is 0%. I bought 2 universal strong lnb which I interchanged
but no show. At least I expected the signal to change from one location to another instead of this constant 60%.

but I am following the instructions on this thread for FTA installation.

I just detected it’s mytv gimmick to block access on Srt 497s .I updated to their latest 2021 firmware version recently and Tara and others weren’t showing again. I just downgraded to 2020 old firmware , rescanned and they started showing.so pls guys do not update your 497s using their latest 2021 official firmware

Please help, I purchased SRT 497s last Saturday. I fixed the cables according to the manual and mounted the dish.
I used DSTV dish 60cm and STRONG universal LNB.
But the problem now is that:

THE SIGNAL INTENSITY = 60
THE SIGNAL QUALITY = 0
I tried different locations but still the same.

Where did I go wrong?

Original strong or if your tv has inbuilt satellite decoder you can use that also

This is a terrestrial receiver. It cannot work with dish.

You can use any dish ranging from 60cm, 90cm to 1metre and above
