When we were a goal up (Black 1-2 Arsenal), the odds of Blackburn winning suddenly hit 1/17. I placed a 2$ bet that Blackburn will just cos of how high the odd went |

debosky: Absolute bollocks.
Walcott is a weak link in our attack, yet he scored against Udinese (home and away), scored against United at OT, had the shot on goal that led to our goal against Swansea and played the through ball pass for our goal against Dortmund.
If that is what a weak link does (either assisting or scoring in every game he has played apart from Newcastle) then I pray all our players become weak links.
Dunno where you guys sit and dream up some of these posts.
Ox should play in the CC against Shrewsbury and show us what he can do - if he can deliver against them then he can start asking for a place as a substitute. No one in that forward line is CURRENTLY as productive as Theo. Egbon Debo, I am only saying he shouldn't be seeing 90mins. He may be contributing when you look at the big picture, but I think more can be achieved from that right wing than we are achieving now |

UP OR DOWN?,
Looking at our post-manure games, (yes, i know they are only two) I think we are playing better than we have in a while. The defence isn't looking as shaky and suspect as it was before the last transfer window as PM and Kos look a confident and able pair (and our best defender is still out). In the last game, Dortmund played some very good football but it took a stroke of individual genius for them to find the net and I think our defenders deserve credit for standing their ground. Song is as important to Arsenal as anybody right now cos his determination, work-rate and ability make him a beast.
I also like the understanding i notice on the right side of defence as Sagna's concentration and eagerness to cover up for PM's lack of speed means pacy attackers won't successfully take advantage of PM's sluggishness too often.
Surely we are less creative compared to last season, but i'ld like to see how this part looks when wilshere returns. In the game against Swansea, Arteta showed flashes of what he can do if given that AM role and I am sticking my neck that he will grab a high number of assists/goals. One thing i find a little disturbing is Wenger's refusal to hand Ox some playing time when Walcott isn't delivering. Walcott is a bit of a weak link in our attack right now and he shouldn't be seeing 90mins until he improves.
Overall, I am content with our current team as we seem to have far more competent players. Per, Ben and Arteta really bring something to the table, and we haven't even seen Young, Santos and the younger ones who i'm sure are waiting to pounce on an opportunity to impress.
I don't think we have any reason to fear as regards maintaining a top 4 finish and its looks to me we will finish higher than we have been doing in recent years. The only way is forward right now. Who says we aren't GENUINE title contenders? |

I was very impressed with Benayoun myself. He may be 30, but he sure does a lot of work in training to stay fit and mobile. When Jack returns, arteta can stay upfront but till then he will be fluctuating between that AM and holding midfielder role.
The team is a lot better than when we had to cope with dayokanuness of the likes of Djourou, Diaby and Bendtner |

Gerv's trickery lets him down at the most crucial time. He seems to do them too often instead trying to do a pass but we know he sure can beat them.
Kudos to Dortmund. I respect teams that attack fluidly |
