Something to laugh about right here.

Striker Emmanuel Adebayor - on loan at Tottenham from Premier League rivals Manchester City - has declared his career at Etihad Stadium "over". "The love between myself and Manchester City is broken," he said.

Murafucka. grin

let them score all their goals now, we have been there before when 6-0 scorelines were our specialty and large point gaps were normal by november, it usually went bosoms up.

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

The attention of the management of THE BEAT 99.9FM has been drawn to widespread online and social media reports, regarding an unfortunate incident that occurred between two members of our staff on THE BEAT FM 99.9 FM premises in the early hours of Thursday September 8, 2011.

The management team can confirm that there was an altercation between our Programmes Director Olisa Adibua and our editor Adewunmi Oyekanmi. We are fully investigating the incident and have placed Olisa Adibua on a four-week suspension as a precautionary measure while he cooperates fully with the investigation. Adewunmi Oyekanmi is also assisting us with the investigation.

As a responsible organisation, the management of THE BEAT 99.9FM condemns any form of violence, assault and abuse, and, will not condone any such act by ANY member of staff.

The BEAT of Lagos event that occurred on the 9th of September, in which Olisa co-hosted with our other BEAT 99.9 presenters, was a jointly staged event with a partner. This partner was made aware of the situation and still requested that we honour the existing contract with his firm which stated that all presenters, including Olisa Adibua, be present at the event.

We assure our listeners, friends, partners and all concerned parties that decisive actions will be taken, and enforced. The management of the BEAT 99.9FM is already putting in place measures to prevent a repeat of such an unfortunate incident.

Thank you for your understanding,

The Management

THE BEAT 99.9FM

City are just pretenders. It takes more than putting together a team of individually talented ballers to win the epl. It takes a winner attitude, a coach who knows the league.
City will crumble as usual.

+3 points. 1st premierleague goal at the Emirates.

Overall, not a fantastic performance by the lads but we got the three points.
Critics should note that Liverpool lost today.

I'm not too bothered about what's happening at Manchester. I said it before that United will run away with the league (although I didn't expect this goal rush). The other Manchester team can't maintain the tempo. SAF has got all the experience to make sure his boys run this marathon till the end.

The race for 4th place will be between us and Liverpool and barring a total system collapse on our side ala 2010/11 season and/or Daglish is sacked and Mourinho hired ( grin grin ), we will nick it.

Barca lost a 2 goal lead BTW. Just thought I should add that wink

Dortmund is next.
Liverpool is out if the question. Their pre-season games show clearly that they are not as good as they look on paper. Caroll isn't looking so inspirational and they let Meireles go. They are weaker than last season IMO

Abysmal showing by the team. It was nearly 90 minutes of depression for me. Walcott was totally useless as he rarely got past his man and you why many say he hasn't got 'a football brain'. He is really not very witty, sorry.  I channel my anger to Wenger who didn't substitute him for Oxlade who definitely couldn't have been as poor as Walcott was today.
Arshavin continued to be his uninterested self while frimpong continued with irrational tackles. The whole display was terribly in the least.

But then that's what champions do right? Play woefully and come out with 3 points. Manure do that steadily. The resultant feeling is that of joy and anyone will choose this over many games when we played so well and still ended up with nothing more than a point.

Kibbs wasn't spectacular at the back as he got turned over severally by Dyer, but he was ever impressive going forward. Anytime he swings a ball in the box from that left, you can be sure its a top drawer delivery.

Ramsey was so awful today IMO, his inabilty to locate one of three teammates who were unmarked at one point in the game pretty much summed up is performance today. To quite for someone who is supposed to be creative.

Contrary to what someone said, I think RvP gave a decent performance.  He kinda played a free role and he did move well. Should've gotten a goal tho.

Per and Kos weren't spectacular but they did get the job done.  No goal conceded

Arteta was absolutely brilliant, he is as close as anyone in the league can be to Fabregas.  Very composed and creative too. Passes quickly unlike Ramsey who isn't decisive passing the ball.

With Song, Gev coming in for the next game we cant possibly play this bad. Song's unavailability really exposed us and made the Swansea guys look so good in the midfield.

Above all, 3 points. Job done.

Methinks Metersacker is giving a good account. Tho he wasn't really face directly with a pacy striker, but his anticipation is commendable
