Hello, am currently an undergraduate of telecommunications Engineering, with a CGPA of 4.08. I intend to get my CCNA certification next year, am a member of IEEE and planning to get enrolled to a six month German B1 classes in Abuja at Gothe institute....my intention is to do my MSC in Germany come 2023. Please I'll really need mentorship....Cologne seems to be a good city am considering. Note: am just 21yrs presently.

If you can graduate with a first class, it is best you give it all it takes. Focus on your undergraduate studies for now because nobody here really knows what would have become of germany education by 2023, even the embassy don't know what will happen by then from this time.
Don't rush things too much, give in for self development especially I.t skills while giving it everything it takes to get the possible best result out of school.

Germany waka is not the faint hearted, some people here that have not even started anything are losing hope from the start. Although, it is clear they are trying to cut the numbers as the numbers are increasing.
But what I still know is that what you believe is what you receive, let's fill our thoughts and mind with positivity.

I could remember sometimes last December that they categorically stated on their website the waiting period for CAT A is 10 months while for B is 12 months. I remember how we discarded the news here on this platform and with agreement of heart, we were confessing they would remove it and lo and behold, they removed it.

While it is wise to have an alternative plan, it is worth doing to be heads up with the struggle.

The reason why I am saying is the embassy might choose to focus on winter application starting from April 1st, this guys aren't following it serially at all, imagine someone booking in cat B in December getting dates, and hundred's that booked in October yet no date, I really don't understand, tried calling but their number aint going, really don't understand sef. I sent u a pm.

Unless you have a 1st class, if what qualifies you for cat A is 2.1. I would advise you book before they no longer recognize 2.1 for cat A.

All in all, back up your applications with prayers because no one actually knows how these people are playing their game lately, they are unpredictable

If you fall into CAT A, book for AD using the start date on your school website before April 1. If CAT B, book on April 1 with your start date

In other news what of those that have already booked for cat A for winter, would the embassy give dates to them knowing fully well they booked before April ist caused most category A hasn't gotten dates for winter, or should they wait till April ist then cancel and rebook. Really confusing times. @princejck

Good morning friends. I believe sharing my testimony here can help someone else's faith and encourage everyone.

I qualify for CAT A and I booked last December, precisely Dec 13 and I didn't receive a date just like almost everyone here. My hope and belief were getting detailed cos of the unexpected delay but I kept on praying and kept believing God. Last week, I got so tired with everyone that I started to lose hope and started winter applications. In fact, I already started applying to schools, about 5 schools already. On Friday, I eventually cancelled my appointment with the plan that I would rebook for winter this monday just as almost everyone is planning but I didnt have rest and peace deep down that I was not believing the words of God he had already told me, which is human of me.

Over the weekend, I was still praying about it, lamenting to God and in the midst of the brouhaha, I was still having this assurance I would get AD. To cut long story short, I had this urge during my prayers to request extension for 8 weeks and still rebook for summer using the new start date. The urge was so precise as such, I was at first feeling is it possible for any school to allow such extension. Come Monday, I mailed one of the schools I already got admitted to requesting for 8 weeks extension from the normal deadline of april 28 and lo and behold, they granted it immediately the following day, sending a document that to that effect. I was delighted and rushed home to rebook.

I rebooked on Tuesday afternoon using June 30 as start date and Thursday evening, that's yesterday around 7p.m, I got my AD for April 7!! This could have been possible only with God.

God will settle everyone's sincere desire in Jesus name, I wish everyone the best.


PS; This is not to brag nor tell anyone I'm good and smart at calculating dates. In fact, not to say I'm lucky but it is just about I was favoured by God and he showed me mercy. I could have decided to hold this to myself and keep mute just as it is gradually becoming of this group but of what importance is it if i can not give back to the community that helped me because I'm certain one or two persons would benefit from this.

What about cat-A

Cat A means category A also known as priority list, the other counterpart is CAT B. Congratulations to you, you qualify for CAT A, based on the information you said. So, if all things work out well for winter, there are higher chances of you getting Appointment Date from the embassy.

I got AD today for 9th of March. I ticked scholarship though.

My opinion is, they do not painstakingly identify the scholarship applicant once you are there at the embassy.
I guess one just needs to fulfill one of these.
