Rawani:
This was after the foreign reserves increased from $28.5b on May 29 to $31.5b under President Buhari. It's a natural reaction to our delisting by JP Morgan and the appointment of an economic team in a few days will stem the tide.
But d wailing wailer won't understand that. They are so myopic in nature. While we were in d JP morgan,What was our gain?JP morgan! We won't devalue our naira to satisfy u goats. We will bounce back.I'm 200% sure of that.

He said, with America, Nigeria will go a great length to achieve everything to better this country! And now, It's France.

Why can't this old general, sit back and use his brain to lead this country.

He should've taken much time on his appointment of his. Special advisers, than his ministers. Coz his advisers aren't doing anything other than to mislead the masses with false publicity.

ModiKen:
It won't stop corruption.

Nigerians are very daring and only a death penalty would stop corruption.
What if I stole 20B naira n I pay d price.Won't my family still enjoy d loot?Recovery of looted funds is paramount. When I steal money n I know that more than what I stole will b taken from mi,that's what will scares mi.Death penalty didn't stop d chinese from corruption cos we still hearing cases.

Icecream4U:
is looting puplic funds not too harsh? If you know there is such law and you feel it is too harsh, then don't steal, simple.
U r right but what I'm saying here is that there are other penalties which we could use eg Banned from holding political positions, lose 99% of all properties, serving jail term etc.

the only thing I am afraid of is a denial of this report by the government as the case has been so far with this buhari administration. This is a good move and buhari should just follow it through. The road maybe rough initially but later things will take shape

that shouldn't be all, he should be made to face the full face of the law to serve as deterrent to others of his kind
My point too.He should b made to go thru hell. What a waste DNA.
PoliticsRe: Why FG Is Against Devaluation by disloman(m): 6:12am On Sep 11, 2015
BraniacX:
Is that all? undecided

And the lack of economic direction is conveniently left out because of course, we have to blame the foreign investors (or hedge fund managers if you may) but what about the local investors and the Nigerian diaspora investors who make up about 40% of direct foreign investmentshuh?? I guess our patriotic zeal doesn't cover them too.

CUT THE CRAP!!!! angry
Of course all investors are here to make money and if the economy was being properly managed, there will be no rush to pull out investments so you can beat around the bush all you may but losses of about $7b on the SE in 3months in a developing economy doesn't scream speculation to me, it screams mismanagement and lack of confidence in economic leadership
Don't tell mi u just wrote this without proper understanding of what u read?SMH.
PoliticsRe: Why FG Is Against Devaluation by disloman(m): 6:09am On Sep 11, 2015
onatisi:
If this report and article is true and correct then buhari and CBn are doing a good job. The interest of the nation supercedes that of any other investor or foreign country operating or wanting to operate in nigeria
This is what some pple don't understand.JP Morgan is just trying to protect it interest.More devaluation of naira will have negative effects on our economy. We must not be west dummies 4ever.Let's try out of d books methods.Ride on joor.
PoliticsRe: Governors Reject Death Penalty For Looters by disloman(m): 4:34am On Sep 11, 2015
Death penalty will b too harsh.I would have preferred anybody guilty of looting should forfeit. 99% of his total asset n longer jail term.

Some pple r just dumb f***ed.Do u know what is happening with d world economy?Pls u need to b tutored in Economics.Go n study what Iceland did in 2008 when they took d same step with what Nigeria is taking now.We can't b forced to do d west bidding n our economy getting worse.
