mr olodo, so, you are saying the president is more powerful than NASS abi? Ur result na F10, if you dont know let me school you sir, the NASS is more powerful than the president, thats why they are incharge of the law. Even though the president enjoy the support of the masses, but in reality, the NASS represent the people. The only reason saraki is being dragged here and there is because hes not enjoying the full support of the house if not for that, he for don make scape goat of the Daura President. Let them play the game as we watch, but am sure of one thing, saraki still has the majority support, if finally he steps down, thats when APC will understand why they say he who laffs last, laffs best.
What a shame.

funny you, there is no politician in Nigeria that doesn't have worms in his cupboard, the president inclusive. Its just a case of open my own, i open your own, do u think saraki will just be pushed out and will not retaliate? He will fight back anyway he can which is good for us the masses. I definitely would love the pdp to take over the senate leadership rather than have a stooge there, it will lead to the highest form of separation of power.
As APC was in-charge when PDP was in power? Some people are living in their imaginations.

Even if there books were opened as you said, it don't solve anything so far those people you mentioned are still in the senate. Don't also forget ripple effects.

Admittedly, all the Senators are corrupt. Ex- govs turned Senators are even moreso and which party has a greater percentage of such?

Interesting time ahead. Can't wait to see who wins between thorough politicians and political calculators!

If CCT convicts Saraki,he would still retain his seat and appeal against it.He would only lose his seat if the supreme court uphold's the CCT judgement.

If Saraki is removed,Ekweremadu becomes acting senate president and would have to oversee another election where a new senate president would be elected.
This is what happen when you let hatred, sentiments and Old age cloud your sense of judgement.Ekweremadu still have his own battle to fight,Have you forgotten the forgery issue?Sidon there dey happy. You never see anything.

Finally that plan has failed !!!do not think this men in the senate are babies!! Most of them are seasoned politicians ,very experienced and not nones to be bullied. You will soon find out in the comming days
Grandpa! Are you sure that was their plan?Grandboy! You don't know anything.People already know d outcome of all these actions. What you will hear is that Saraki is innocent of the 10 charges but guilty of 3.What will then be the outcome? You can't mess with the presidency and win.Only the masses can and believe mi,this government enjoys the people's support.

Very funny quote!! How did the security agencies smash the plot? The PDP dominated like minds senators are in the majority and would definitely decide the next senate presidency if anything happens to Saraki.

Furthermore if they decide to reject Buhari's nominess, there is nothing the security agencies can do about it.
Grandpa!Keep dreaming.Seems you don't understand how politics been played in naija.Who are those in like mind senators?Tell mi,They will all fall once their books are opened.Just watch and you will see how they will fall in line.Once again grandpa, keep dreaming.

PoliticsNigerians Won't Respect Bills From Saraki's Senate by disloman(op): 7:21pm On Sep 23, 2015
A former Minister of State for Education, Chief Kenneth
Gbagi, has called on the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola
Saraki, to step down.
He said the trial of the Senate president by the Code of
Conduct Tribunal has put a question mark on his integrity to
lead the upper legislate chamber.
Gbagi said with what is going on, there was no way Nigerians
and the international community would respect motions and
bills that would emanate from the Senate under the
leadership of Saraki.
The former minister spoke with some journalists in Abuja on
Wednesday.
He said the trial of Saraki by the CCT was enough reason for
the former governor of Kwara State to step down and allow
another person mount the saddle of leadership of the
Senate.
He said, “We have a problem in Nigeria where we don’t have
people of honor, dignity and integrity as leaders.
“The mere fact that the Senate President is undergoing
criminal trial is an indication that he has no business being a
Senate president living with tax payers’ money.
“First, Nigerians will not have faith in anything that comes
out of his Senate that is chaired or presented by that kind of
person.
“Again, the entire international community will not believe in
the passage of any Bill or motion under his leadership.
“So if you ask me, that is the end of him. He is gone. And like
several other government where you think you get in and it
will be business as usual, it is not true.”
He regretted that Saraki would not learn from advanced
counties where someone like him, who is undergoing such
trial, would have resigned from office.
He said this was one of the reasons why countries like the
United State of America is still being respected.
