Priest terrorizes kinsmen

A Catholic Priest from Umuezeala Village in Umuihim Community of Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Rev. Fr. Donatus Ihekwoaba has been accused of allegedly terrorizing the people of his area in recent time by arresting and detaining them day after day over land dispute.

Rev. Fr. Ihekwoaba who resides in Canada, but currently in his home was said to have brought armed military and police men who besieged the village on different occasions, beat, arrest and detained some of the villagers who opposed the priest’s attempt to close their ancestral communal road with his new building in the village.

According to investigations by Nigerian Horn, the Clergy had exchanged a plot of land with one of his kinsmen, Prince Dennis Obiji on the agreement that the Priest will not close the ancestral communal road when he returned to the country last two years.

Contrary to the agreement reached before the land on which the new building is standing was exchanged, the Priest recently started closing the access road by raising a fence that is preventing some of the villagers from getting to their houses and plots of land.

When the villagers who are more of Catholic faithfuls asked what was going on regarding their access road, in which women of the area demonstrated, the Catholic priest initiated various ways of intimidating the villagers.

On the 8th of March, 2011, the priest besieged the area with army of military men, who beat some of the villagers, arrested and detained Mr. James Chukwukezie and Louis Chukwukezie who are the owners of the houses its access road is closed by the priest’s fence.

On discovering that the matter was a land dispute as against armed robbery and attempt of kidnapping the priest reported, the men were release, but were re-arrested two days after when armed police men visited the village around 10.00pm as James Chukwukezie is still in detention as at the time of this report.

When Nigerian Horn visited the village yesterday morning, villagers were in sad mood over the action of the Catholic priest whom they said, was collectively trained as a Catholic priest in the area before he left for Canada.

The President of Umuihim Community, Priest Acho Awuzie who was beaten by the force men and was stripped naked before the villagers in the process, said the Priest came with Armed military men and arrested some of his kinsmen over a land dispute.

Priest Awuzie pointed out that the villagers have called the Priest and requested him to stop the fence, which he stressed close the access road to other houses, but the priest refused and started arresting the villagers.

He regretted that a Catholic Priest who was trained by the villagers is the one closing their access road and detaining them as well.

Some of the village elders, men, women and youths Mr. Zabulon Nwaiwu, Maxwell Awuzie, and Esther Awuzie among others interviewed said that an agreement was reached between the Priest and the person that exchanged the land with him that the road will not be closed, but the priest ignored that.

They regretted the actions of their Priest whom they said has spoiled the image of Catholic Priesthood, adding that the access road has been there before the priest was born.

All efforts to reach the Priest on phone failed.

She had her regular period of 28/29 days for the past 6 months. We met a new dr. who started off with series of test and the only thing he could still refer as of concerned is ovarian cyst (he claimed she had used much of clomid and other egg-boosing nutrients that made so much eggs to drop which the ovarian cyst were yet to clear )but he doesn’t want to bother himself with that for now until all tests are conducted. He advised HSG and on the 10th day of her last cycle, she had the HSG. 2/3 days later she complains of serious pain the stomach, nausea, vomiting, headache & temperature, on returning to the dr. he performed blood and urine test and came out with a result of typhoid. She was placed on treatment (5 days injection with drugs). But on the 3rd day, these aforementioned symptoms became more severe & she was admitted for 5 days receiving treatment for typhoid. She was discharged after showing signs of wellness and after the 3rd day at home, (21st day of her cycle) something like her period occurred with thick (I mean thick, clogged blood) like liver dropped in various sizes for about 5 times the first day, and it continued the second day, we are just observing whether the normal blood flow will occur and for how many days.
My wife was convinced she had took in but lost it.

Thank you for your response. abegi is it the same thing with 'ori nwa' its like they use the two names interchangeably. From the explanation l got and from my experience ,whatever it is, is a living being. Because whenever l concieve l usually have a sharp niddle-like intermittent bite below my navel. They said thats when Whatever is biting the 'baby' because its occuping baby's space and doesnot want a rival -lol. l also learnt that every woman has it, but if yours stays where it supposed to stay no problem,but mine left where it supposed to stay and stayed where the baby stays.

@Mypeace, i will get more information abt the Ehi or orinwa lol and tell you, I belive that whatever it is, at God's own time they will bow and accept the baby that God has planted. also your reply is giving me abetter insight to my own issue, I usually have that sharp niddle like intermitent bite below my navel each time i concieve before my period comes, I have always dismissed it as chemical pregnNCY OR abnormalities of the zygote. I have a niece that has an ugly growing keloid on the left breast close to the nipples, A plastic surgery aka skin grafting has been carried out. Kenalog injection was administered on the keloid for a while as prescribed but the keloid later grew up again, The surgery was done in 2008 at Orthopaedic hospital Enugu. Keloid is itchy and sometimes painful, general discomfort, We hve been to Luth where the same Kenalog injection with 5 fluorouracil suspension was injected on three weeks interval. for Ehi stuff being an ibo is enlargement of the spleen but you need to check it out, Its also normally treated with local herbs. I will advise you to do a thorugh medical check up first before taking a herbal stuff, Personally am not a fan of herbal or traditionally stuff. I believe scans or tests can identify the actual problem whether its Ehi or whatever.

I thank you for the good work ure doing here, Am ttc for 3 months now, i know its 2 early to worry but we women are just humans, anyway, I have a 26/27/ cycle. I did baby dancing (made love with dh) during my fertile periods. 3 days to my period, i started experiencing tension headaches, soreness in my breast and general weakness, my period came out and was light but pure red unlike the brownish heavy clots i just to have, it was on for 2 days, before it stopped but I still feel the headache, , tingling in my nibbles though no more sore & gradually getting back my strength,

can you pls help me because I have never felt like this with my period. dont know whether am being paranoid but d symtoms are real.

My fellow NL, I attended a graduation party of a nephew in a nursery & primary school owned by hard working woman who happens to be a good christian married to a Pastor yesterday. Unfortunately or fortunately I came a little bit early where they are still putting things together for the event.

Some icecream hawkers came around to sell their wares as was their customs or market where kids are gathered. I noticed that 3 of the teachers from that school, (guys) picked a fight with one of the ice cream hawkers because he failed to give them free ice creams that wld have bought his free ticket and right to sell in the school premises. (Dont know where that law is in Nigerian law) When the guy refused, they not only ordered him out of the premises, they beat him up thoroughly infront of few parents and the very children they are training to be better leaders.

What really prompted this write up is that the Director of the school who is also the Pastor and husband of the Proprietress joined in the fight and beat up the poor guy mercilessly. There was no regard for the parents and few visitors that has arrived.

it was disheartening to find out that the school was opened by the woman's family for the woman to make ends met when the Pastor's church folded up. This school is the only source of income in their family. The earnings from the school built the very house they are living in now and also their house in the village. The woman was in tears begging the husband to make peace so as not to spoil the events for her. The man was uncontrollable, shouting, cursing the poor hawker in front of their 3 hefty young sons and other children, I was really dissappointed that the so called director did not respect himself or even his In-laws, disgraced his wife, didnot respect the parents who pays for his miserable livelihood.

He has refused to get something doing to earn an income only relying on his wife to be giving him pocket money and other money to do family project. The poor woman is willing to do so and has been covering this man from her own family until this utter disgrace of manhood.

The man takes advices from Agboro, touts & uneducated friends who has been telling him to take over the school from his wife, Meanwhile, he did not see the four walls of a secondary school while the wife is a Bed holder in English.

She is confused on how to continue supporting a man who does not understand the responsibilities of a father & husband.#

Pls can matured married men inthis forum advice her sincerely how to tackle this problem as it is out of hand.
