Procedure for legalisation is this.
1. go to federal ministry of education with your certificates such as waec certificate, transcripts and bachelor certificate. you will buy 1000 naira scratch card for waec..
2. take the authenticated document to federal ministry of foreign affairs and they too authenticate the same documents.
3. then you can proceeds to embassy to legalise your documents.
note - ensure your photocopy bachelor certificate has certify true copy on it with school stamp and also your transcripts must be official and not student copy.

you don't need to book appointment with any of those organisations but embassy attends to legalisation on Tuesdays and Thursdays btw the hour of 9am to 10am...

I think I was one of last persons to apply on the portal because that 'passport upload' really stressed me until a faithful day when my edited selfie was successfully uploaded and hit 'Apply.

I studied Dragnet plus nnpc study pack and was tired especially when I heard the number of candidates who applied . It became worse when I was 'cramin' current affairs. I prayed to God to take away spirit of error during the test and so it was that after answering question 60, i went thru again backwards and corrected about 15qstns I initially thought I got correctly.

Interview Day
Outspoken guy like me found myself so tensed up inside, calm outwardly but shaking inside. I read a scripture that morning (Luk.12:12) and believed it. (Do not worry about what to say , for in that Hour , the Holy spirit will teach you what to say).

Interview: 8th, Room 25, Panel 22 10th floor.

I was the first on the list and the other colleagues were mostly engineers. While we settled down on the seat in front of the room, our usher had gone in to submit our files...I could feel the panel drilling a guy I became tensed again lol. Ffw

The panel secretary came out to ease our tensions while the guy who was being drilled was sweating and preparing to leave. After Her briefing, she beckoned on me to follow her inside (as first man ).

Then I met what I would describe as the best panel anyone would have prayed to meet with. 5 Senior men( 2yorubas, 1Northern, 1Ijaw & 1Igbo(chairmo) , the sec.was the only female (Yoruba). The chairman asked me to drop my files and unbutton my suit jacket to ease off all tensions. I did that smiling.

They introduced themselves and asked that I do same. While I was at it, the Chairman & a few others probed to know my part of Abia state.. teased me, 'yabbed' me, we laughed for a while..and then He asked the Geologist to pause while the safety start with me.

*What is an unsafe act. (I answered).
Mention 5(strictly 5) unsafe acts on the highway. (I mentioned 3, they waited...I mentioned 2 more (In my mind: so una no fit forget the 2 for me? )

*Geology. What is Migration( I answered). Mention the types of Migration (I answered and defined them).

Why do reservoir rocks hold HC? (Me: due to their good porosity & perm. Chairman & Geologist: yeah we know...but...(I payed attention to their body languages) then I said due to The presence of Traps... everyone was happy in the room, including the sec. )

*Personals.
Tell us a time when you had a set back in life.(I thought hard and answered)

*Tell us of a time when you managed a situation under pressure. (Wait for it!)

Me: I described a situation Where I led a team to rep ma department/sch in a competition at Ilorin under a short notice. We stayed up all night to study & rehearse for the presentation. Then I quickly added: We didn't win the competition but we were happy we did well & our lecturers were proud of us.

The Humbling part: The Geologist said to me, "You're correct. Do you know I was present there at Ilorin (2016). Me "what if I had lied that my team won".

Ffw: I got a chance to ask a question. I asked what NNPC was doing to cut down CO2 emissions during E&P. The northern panelist explained in details.

The Panel Chairman teased me further, bout my people, their doings...we laughed for a while more. Then I was free to go.

The sec. gave me my phone and smiled at me. I left the room knowing God was truly on my matter.

There are many sides to this selection process. I don't think it only boils down to state or village people fight..
They will also consider ones field.

They should have total number of GTs they need in each department.. So Let's say they need 60 ICT Gts, 50 geologists, 100 Pet engineers etc (just assumed figures)

If they should select based on the best candidates per state. They may not meet their desired departmental slots. You may have more science GTs than is needed or more Arts GTs.

So as much as each state is expected to get even slots (except oil producing states) . they also consider the available slots in the department depending on one's course of study.

So ure somehow expected to be among the best in your department.

It's possible that there are some core departments where they will select the best candidates in the interview irrespective of their State of Origin.. And then use other candidates from other departments or states to compensate for this.

At the end of the day, All states are still well represented.

We really do not know what method they will use. But I pray they will use the one that will favour you and I.

Maybe I need to clarify a bit more:

ONLY graduates of engineering, physical sciences (e.g. maths, physics, chemistry, etc) and geology underwent the training.

Graduates of biological sciences and non-science related courses were not part of the training.

Okay let's qualify it as STEM graduates with the exception of natural sciences underwent the 9 months training programme.

if natural sciences (Geoscientists, etc) didn't go for the training program , were they posted together with the non STEM disciplines? immediately after the orientation program. or they hard their own training differently?

That's true. But Shell has a special career lane, can't remember the name, for high performers they see as the future of the company. He was identified as one within 2 years. He was seconded to an European country for 2 years for more exposure.

I learnt Slb train their recruits Abroad. do they do the upfront pay? do you know how much they pay their field engineers?

I usually don't fancy typing much here. But i think its time we call a truce to all these arguments about sharing sensitive interview questions.

I understand the submission of those who happily wants to share their sensitive interview questions with others, Truth be told, after my interview, i explained in details to my course mates that would be interviewed the following day, My intention was to make them prepared so that no question would throw them off guard. I wasn't thinking myself to be in a competition with them. If possible i wanted them to perform better than i did. Of course i want the job, but i want us all to get it. (funny ryt? But that was my mindset) Because as colleagues we've been through a lot together. Etc.

HOWEVER i've come to agree with those who are of the submission that we should not share sensitive interview questions till the interview is over. Because just like they have said it is robing Peter to pay Paul. Since this is not a competition between just me and them, I have to give the many other applicants an equal playing ground. I wont allow my good intentions to rob off on others. It is very wrong.

So those that are willing to share in details about your interview experiences, i commend your good intentions, but it is unknowingly having bad effects on other innocent applicants who may not even be privileged to be on this platform.

Let us give peace a chance, since we are praying for this recruitment process to be a merit based one. Let us not by our "good intentions" demerit it for the 'unprivileged' first day candidates.

There was this NNPC staff around where we were doing credential clarification. He is a Fulani man, the guy spoke to us and even encouraged us. Hausa and Fulani people are really friendly oo
