i was at the inec sensitization at uyo township stadium when mike igni spoke to corp members.. he said we should not support or receive bribe from ANY politician. that most of us are more educated than they are and would perform better if we are given the opportunity. so we should not sell out ourselves and future for ANY politician.

And if we have to send to many universities. can we use photocopies of the notorised documents. (thats after notorising the documents. we now make photocopy of that notorised document to submit) or do we need to keep notorising same documents depending on the number of schools we are applying.

finally pls do you have an idea about how much mail posting with Nipost costs from Lagos.

Tutorial lecturer indeed! I don't just want to expose some of them for personal reasons. That was how my friends in UNN and Uniben boasted till they ended up fainting

Well, i dont know about UNN nd Uniben. but for UI. There is generally no such thing. But there might be one or two bad eggs. But Generally UI is known to be free from such vices. infact throughout my stay there i never heard any student talk about sorting.

The system in place makes it difficult for such to happen. When you have about 2 to 4 lecturers taking a particular course. How many you wan sort. for how many marks??

i'm trying to imagine you going to sort a prof in UI, you will reach SDC the same day.

How was your file the comptroller's file?

since the order came from the comptroller to attend to me. they treated it with importance. one of the ladies said "This is the comptrollers file" meaning my file came directly from the Controllers desk. so they treated it urgently

Sorry I had no time to finish this yesterday.

So they insisted I must pay the 5k. I sent a Tweet to the immigration's Twitter handle and got no reply for over 20minutes. I even called a contact number I saw on the website about the 5k I was asked to pay and the person on the line referred me to one PCO unit like and ask them what I'm paying the 5k for. Immediately I knew it was a dead end. After much thought, I had to part ways with my 5k after going back and forth.

One thing I've realized is that it is almost impossible to make your payment online, go to Awka's processing office without paying that 5k processing fee. Except it's strictly official, you would have to come with an official letter or something before they will attend to you without making any payment.

Good thing is that I got the passport yesterday.

i finally got mine today.. at uyo passport office. today the PCO finally came. so i came around 3pm to see him. the man that took me to him explained to him that i paid online and all that. the man told me that i'll have to goan see the comptroller..(the main boss) i went to see h but i wasnt allowed in. until the PCO went to see him on my behalf. he. came back and asked me wether i dont have any money to drop ontop of the file. i told him that i didnt.. That was how my file was collected and they allowed me to go for capturing. infact they were even saying that my file was comptrollers file. so they responded to it faster. i got my passport around 6pm today. without paying a dime. while one man paid 30k plus

exactly wat i was told in uyo.. they said i should pay 4k for office charge.. i told dem i dont have d money.. they said ill have to come nd see dr PCO(boss) that he is d only person that can waive it for me.. but the man travelled to Jerusalem. so ill have to come back when Hes back. im going back there tomorrow with vexation. they must answer me.

My story at Uyo immigration office..

i applied online and went there with the required documents..

i met them at the servicom desk. they told me that they wont accept declaration of age and that my guarantor must have either a national ID or drivers license. And also they charge 4k for processing fee. i explained to her that i dont have the money. she said that i should get the documents first that if i dont have the money i will have to go and see the PCO. (who travelled)

i left there and went to secure the two documents. i couldnt finish that yesterday. so i went back to the office today.. i met another immigration woman. i explained to her that i payed online and dont have 4k for "Office charge" she told me. exactly waht the servicom woman said. that ill have to wait to see the PCO that he travelled to come back on monday. that its only the man that can waive the 4k office fee for me.

meanwhile those who payed cash were being processed as i was there. The woman sha said that i should not worry. that i should come on monday that she will take me to the PCO.

I think i will just chill till monday and see what happens. Then ill knw if i should contact the twitter handle.

Pls can a whatsapp group be create by those who got the scholarship last year. to help those that are interested in applying for CsC this year?

pls for the guarantor letter.. is it compulsory that my guarantor must have an international passport. what if he has just national ID ?

I will.be going with my documents, but I dont have my original birth certificate and stage of origin. I had them scanned to make. Hope that is tenable?

pls I'll like to know if they accepted your scanned copies of birth certificate..

Yes the application is pretty straightforward. Just take the required documents to their office and proceed to the servicom desk to direct you on what to do.

I intend applying online for mine.. but I have issues with the required documents.. I have my local government of origin. but j don't have the original copy of my Birth cert. I only have a scanner copy of my declaration of age.

do you think they will accept this? I heard if you go through someone they can do another birth certificate for you.. but since I'm going to apply online I'm just curious to know if I can do an original declaration of age there if they don't accept the scanned one I have.

You can always let them know of any challenges you encounter via the twitter handle.

So I asked for the status of my application via the twitter handle and I got a call that it was ready and I should go and collect it tomorrow.

November 2013,

My dad fell sick, very sick, he was in comma for days. and was placed in ICU. he was to have a brain surgery. the money we had was not enough to book for the surgery as it was a private hospital. We asked for help here on nairaland. A man called later. sent #300k. he kept on calling to know about the condition of my dad. However my dad passed on. this same man kept calling. sent another 100k to help with the burial. even after the burial he kept calling, he'll call my mum, advise my elder brother etc.. On Christmas periods He'll still send us money till date. (we don't know him and we've not met before) .

Where ever he is I pray God will continue to bless him. He will continue to be a great source of inspiration not just to me alone.. but to my entire family.

Sometimes God uses sad moments in our life to show He still got our back regardless of what happens. As He used Mr David to send us help in our time of distress. I pray I'll not slack when it's my turn to render help to a stranger.

Pls i want to confirm if the price of the Aluminum roofs varies with location.

Someone measured the site we re working on even b4 roofing with wood. And came up with 230sqm.. According to his estimate.
Total meter = 230 *1700
Flashers 60meters*1700
Outside ceiling 30 meters *1700.

The aluminium roof to be used is 0.45 Longspan mentral style which he said was #1700 against the #1300 from your posts.

Pls I want to verify if the price varies with location.. because my location is Abia. Thanks.
