Every year over 1.6million students from Nigeria sit for the UTME and only 20% of the candidates end up securing admission to university after post UTME , that translates to about 320,000 students out of every 1.6 million . IJMB offers an alternative to securing university admission and offers you 200level admission to any university of your choice . Doing IJMB programme at Rhema University doesnt necessarily mean u will do your undergraduate studies at Rhema University, after the IJMB programme you can go to any university of your choice . |

Bollinger: There are some rules in life that are golden rules. It is up to you to choose to follow them or not. Don't drink and drive is one, but do people listen? No. Don't borrow money and live within your means, but will people listen? apparently not. How is borrowing money a smart thing to do when you would have to pay it back from the same income? The logic escapes me. It is only wrong to borrow for consumption nt for investment/business, although all depends on the interest rate pa eg if u cant borrow money to pay ur children sch fees or even ur sch fees then u r dull, there r exceptions to every rule what happens when someone is critically sick and need surgery for survival, you still recommend no borrowing abi life is complex dude, forget theories |

Politics › Re: Buhari's Big Ministerial Appointment Mistake by divinelove(m): 3:36pm On Nov 11, 2015 |
Lordave: With the history of poor, erratic and unsteady power supply associated with past governments, even Maitama residents would be anticipating the APC trademark 'Change' to sweep across the ministry of power and somehow or anyhow solve the problem of nonexistent power supply in most parts of the country. Alas, Buhari, today decided to name former Lagos State governor, Mr Raji Babatunde Fashola as the minister of merged former Ministries of Power, Works and Housing. From a progressive perspective every sensible Nigerian would agree that this is a very big mistake from our president. The ministry of Work and Housing alone is a deserving ministry for a person of Fashola's calibre and administrative prowess to pilot, likewise Power. Heading the Ministry of Works and Housing in Nigeria is very cumbersome and almost equivalent to the numerous tasks he faced as the Governor of Lagos State were he had commissioners who were accountable to him, let alone Power being added to this workload of a Portfolio. I'm tempted to ask, did Buhari seek advice and make proper consultation before handing these merged portfolio to Mr Fashola? If he did, what were his findings? Which people supported his merging of these ministries?(they should be named so we can know those who indirectly oppose our progress) In a nutshell, it was unexpected, unprogressive, nonsensical and most especially, unacceptable merging of this work laden ministries and handing it over to one man considering the immediate change Nigerians are expecting in the power sector. Buhari should separate this ministries and make Mr Fashola a minister to one of them.
It would be inevitable hearing APC faithfuls say, "after all it is merged ministry, and as such presents a herculean task to the government in bringing a reasonable level of change to what we had in the previous administrations who are responsible for the majority of ruins in the ministries.
WE DO NOT WANT EXCUSES! Fashiola can handle three ministries merged into one let alone two, face ur truck pushing or shut up Fashiola is a first class performer n not a dullard like u. He shld ve been made the co-ordinating minister bc he is a presidential material |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Am I Being Scammed? Please Advice! by divinelove(m): 1:49pm On Oct 05, 2015 |
Sylver247: Fellow Nairalanders, I am the op of the thread on "How have you been surviving without a job?" I have a friend who works with Shell, hes actually a childhood friend we grew up together. We have been apart for long cos he works in Warri while I reside in Lagos. Recently we hooked up again via Facebook and we got talking on phone about life and all. Told him my jobless situation and he got very concerned about my plight. He promised to do something about it cos I was very open with him, didn't hide or form. He requested for my CV which I quickly edited, refined and wired to his email. He said he would submit it to some senior people in Shell.
About a month later he called me and told me something has come up. That there is 6 a year contract job that will be coming up in October and that I need to acquire a particular training (HUET) without which I can't work in the upstream. He said its normally free but the man in charge of recruiting people said since am just a referral, I have to pay for the training. He said the training is 65k which I confirmed and its true.
Now he promised to pay part of the training fee (40k) for me and said I should take care of the remainder. I trust this guy (he is my very good friend from same community) but you know people can change suddenly.
I just need advice from people who know about this kind of stuff, if its possible or not. Its small money (25k) but I wouldn't want to be scammed off the little money am surviving with as am currently managing myself. I don't even have the money now but I can run round and get it. He told me they are waiting for Buhari to announce his cabinet before the project starts and that he will call me.
Please advice me should I give it a shot?

Romance › Re: Why Guys Should Stop Complaining About Ladies Going After Readymade Men by divinelove(m): 8:24am On Sep 24, 2015 |
humilitypays: I am very aware that what I am about to write will not go down well with many readers on this forum, but then, the truth must be told.
In as much as I do not support single ladies being too forward about money and material things, I do not support a single guy going into a relationship when he has not found his direction in life; more especially nowadays that increase in population has made it very difficult for young people to find job after school.
I will be making reference to the Holy Bible to back up my stand, but before then, let's take a look at some of the disadvantages of a guy going into a committed relationship when he is still struggling:
1. He gets distracted: women are emotional creatures that require lots of emotional attention to satisfy, so for a guy who's still struggling financially, keeping a committed relationship will most likely distract him from chasing his life dreams.
2. Financial waste: no matter what you think or say, keeping a girlfriend cost money, especially nowadays that technology has taken over the world.
Buying call cards to say hi to her, buying gifts for her on special occasions, taking her out for dates, and other frivolous spending cost money which the guy can invest on himself to acquire ICT skill/certification, etc.
I won't bore you guys with too many points, so let me jump straight to the Bible backing.
During the process of creation as narrated in the book of Genesis, the world was without form, nothing existed and God created heaven and earth, sea, oceans, forests, trees, animals and every other thing on earth.
And God looked at the earth and saw its beauty, and decided to create the first human.
Please I want you guys to pay close attention to the preceding paragraphs of this write-up.
When God decided to create human being, God didn't create man and woman the same day, instead God first created man- Adam.
Adam lived alone for long, moving around the earth (Garden of Eden), taking care of the animals, trees, fishes, etc and God saw that He was lonely and needed company and helper, and God decided to create Eve to keep Adam company and to also be his helper.
The moment Adam woke up and saw Eve, he fell in love with Eve without waiting for many years to develop love, and Eve also fell in love with him without having to screen him to know how much he's worth and what he has to offer her.
Note 1: there's true love at first sight, don't doubt it or condemn it, its real!
My point:
God first created Adam, and Adam had virtually everything he needed to survive- shelter (whether under tree or whatever), food, etc before God brought him a wife!
So to the single guys reading this, please pray to God to bless your daily life activities so that you can succeed first before getting a woman, and you know why?
1. Woman is not the most important thing to a man, his work (goal in life) is.
Give a poor man the most beautiful woman who truly loves him, I bet you guys the man will run abandon the woman lol
2. A man feels more good in a relationship when he is financially stable than when he is financially broke!
3. No matter how rich a man's girlfriend/wife is, the man will never feel satisfied with the woman until he himself is financially stable too.
4. The true behaviour of a man can only be known when he is financially okay, and not when he is broke!
5. Naturally, by default, every woman desires to be with a man who is more financially capable than her.
This is one major reason Oprah Winfrey never married. Same reason Linda Ikeji, Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Domnic, Agbani Darego, Rihanna, etc are all single secretly searching for that guy that has more money and fame to come make their dream come true.
Don't ever think guys aren't proposing to the aforementioned ladies because I can bet my nairaland username that thousands of suitors who may not be as rich and popular as them are asking them out on daily basis.
So guys stop nagging and attacking the ladies; ladies aren't the problem, our common enemies are the past and present politicians who ruined our national economy, leaving the youths helpless and jobless!
It is the politicians that we youths should hate and attack for embezzling our common national wealth for their personal use.
We need to pray for a better Nigeria with many great job opportunities for the youths, and we must also condemn giving better jobs to females who do not qualify to the detriment of guys with better qualification.
Lastly, ladies please I am not encouraging going after already made guys only, please give all guys equal chance of friendship because that broke guy today maybe the next Forbe's billionaire tomorrow, so always pray for God's direction and do use your wisdom! to u Adam ws a ready made man abi even wen he has no bicycle. op u dnt kw d meaning of ready made man in nigerian context. it means a rich or wealthy man ie someone whose investments can make at least 10m per month or 120m per yr |

irishCream: Dear Family I'm in deep shiiit, so confused on what to do right now.
I just turned 29 few days ago and have been out of a serious relationship for over a year now.
Have been waiting patiently for that right man to come along but unfortunately it only the wrong ones that keep coming my way, they just want to have a feel of my sweet body and off they go, no genuine intentions.
Now there's a brother that have been friendzoning for over two years now yet he keep persisting, good a thing I'm not the type that pretends so I told him from day one he asked me out that I'm not interested in him except on friendship level, I told him I don't feel him emotionally but he keep hanging on hoping I change my mind with time, my reasons for rejecting him is cos to me he's not presentable enough and I can't be proud introducing him to my people and again he got no good paid job (why on earth must he be poor and ugly at the same time, what kind of torture is that ). He's just managing in a private firm that pays less than 50k.
But what makes me have a rethink is the character of this my friendzoned brother, he keeps in touch despite my rejecting him, he even offer little financial assistance when I'm in need, when I asked him why he's doing all these to a girl that openly reject him he claims he has faith that I'll consider him one day, sometimes I'm forced to suspect if he has cast a spell on me so another good man won't come my way.
Now he has called to schedule a date tomorrow and I know as usual he wants to remind me that the year is running that I should consider his request since he hope to settle down this year.
Please dear Family advice me accordingly is it advisable I say yes to a man I don't feel a thing for emotionally? Can I ever get to love him? I do hear love grows but I don't believe in such!!! Finance is important in a rship, if u r working and comfortable y nt date n consider this Bros he may jst b d one. At 29 u r closing in on thirties n u ve to b very careful. |

koboko69: The constitution of the Federal republic of Nigeria clearly states;
(1)The quorum of the Senate or of the House of Representatives shall be one-third of all the members on of the Legislative House concerned.
(2) The quorum of a joint sitting of both the Senate or of the House of Representatives shall be one-third of all the members of both Houses.
Nigeria has 108 senators. Going by the constitution before any sitting can take place, one-thrid of members of the senate or house of assembly must be present.
By this, before the elections can proceed, 72 senators must be present.
Going by reports, just 57 senators were present today, which made the election unconstitutional.
Any contrary opinion is welcomed.
