First bank pays 3.6% pa payable monthly on ordinary savings account making HIDA unattractive anymore |
HIDA is a special deposit account designed for individuals who are saving for a project or wish to keep away some funds for the rainy day while fully maximizing credit interest earned on their savings. HIDA encourages real savings in that it does not come with a debit card thereby discouraging frequent withdrawals. With a minimum opening balance of ₦100,000, it is designed for individuals who wish to invest their funds while enjoying the flexibility of multiple withdrawals without credit interest forfeiture. HIDA customers enjoy tiered interest rates, meaning the larger the balance, the higher the interest earned. Interest earned per annum accrues daily on available credit balance and is payable monthly. Here is why it could be right for you: You earn highly competitive interest rates per annum on your available balances payable monthly. This simply means the more you save the more you earn: oLess than ₦100,000 - 2% p.a. o₦100,000 - ₦499,999 - 3.5% p.a. o₦500,000 - ₦999,999 - 3.75% p.a. o₦1 million and above - 4.0% p.a. http://www.diamondbank.com/index.php/savings-account/high-interest-deposit-account Please can we get something better and flexible as HIDA lets discuss, how are you keeping your idle fund while thinking of suitable investment. Before Buhari assumed office HIDA pays as much as 8% pa on 1m ![]() |
