That list containing the qualities of what the man must be is her original list. When her search doesn't come to fruition which of course I'm praying against. If it unfortunately does some years thereafter, she'll come up with revised/amended list. One thing I love about the op is sincerity of purpose and she wrote the above in good faith. But my advice is that you may not get all the above qualities in one man who similarly might be interested in you. Maybe God wants you to be with someone you can turn from bad to better, for instance, changing a smoker to a non smoker inter alia. Sometimes we build things, we build people and we don't keep our hopes high on them being perfect. Goodluck and God bless.

Looking at it from another perspective, its because women love competition. And since the bargaining power lies on the man to woo, when the girls get one, they suddenly think it'll be hard for another of such calibre to come by, hence they indulge in fights to protect the one they already have. Other reasons could be financial, if the man is extremely rich, girls just don't want such a relationships to end and that increases the stakes.

Yea I know it feels awkward to tell her but common, there are ways to convey the message to her and she'll understand without feeling much embarrassed. If you don't tell her, someone else is gonna tell her or mock you with it.

Only a poor man would sorta feel threatened as men tend to be more financially buoyant, this gives you an edge. Money doing the talking for you but when she has more, she tend to be disrespectful,(not in all cases) coz she's financially independent.

@op by very poor do you mean destitute, impecunious, bankrupt, insolvent? A man should fix himself and ensure he is fit enough to cater for the needs of the family, that's the most important thing. You need not be as affluent as Dangote before you get married. Why do poor people have more kids than the rich?

No! It's not a prerequisite that it must be in the open. You can become born again anywhere, even in the bus or your room. Most people decline alter call for various reasons. Your life becomes open for scrutiny. "Abi no the that boy wey come out for alter call? Look at him now", lol.
