This is a very good lesson for all.
If I have seen this earlier,I wouldn't have gone ahead to submit my passport that will expire by May 30th 2024 for VISA stamping.

I got passport request August 21 st........ But went ahead to submit the passport that will expire May 30th 2024, by August 24th.

I should have renewed my passport to save future stress of applying.

Yes. Travel to the to the UK and my husband lives in the US . I used his USD account in addition to my naira account for account statement

are you still within the 30 days window? If yes do all you can to submit the passport yourself if possible. I’m yet to see anyone gotten their visa after the 30 days window.

Did you attach the slip they gave you during biometrics to show you did biometrics there in Lagos vac?

I just quickly googled ICR. Says Invoice Cum Receipt. Did you do biometrics in Lagos and sent your passport to Abuja for stamping or vice versa? In that case you needed to pay transmission fee. If you paid, did you attach the receipt?

Hi, please I need advice on what to do.

I have submitted passport and other documents to the VAC in Lekki Lagos via DHL and DHL confirmed that it has been delivered since July 13, 2023 but I have not received any confirmation email or tracking number on the status of my passport submission since July 13, 2023. I have sent email to the vfs helpline with no response. I also tried using the tracking number on the bill metrics EICR receipt sent to my email after biometrics but no record found. I sent email to Nairobi immigrations, Nairobi document email and no response too. I paid for the return courier as instructed on the vfs page and put the evidence of payment with the return address in the envelop sent, no delivery or email yet since July 13, 2023 that DHL confirmed that it was delivered.

Please, what can I do!

@Bobo2 how did you resolve this problem? I have a similar situation, submitted passports for family of four in person at Lagos. 3 passports are ready for collection, mine is still saying it has been forwarded to the Canada office since 12th of July 2023

Anyone with similar experience for family submission can also help.

I have chatted with VFS but chimaka was not helpful and I have sent webform to ircc no response too. I have sent emails to both vfs and ircc no response

And I need the passport for other processes

you should try and contact the courier company you sent your package through , VFS might have returned your package back to the courier company because of missing documentation without even informing you. That was my case,that happened to me last month. VFS returned my package for incomplete documentation . DHL later called me and told me about it , 2 days before my submission deadline. I picked up my package from their lekki office , I had to (1) add the biometric letter to my package , and (2)my print out payment receipt of transmission fee, also adding (3)the letter VFS wrote me that was added inside my package they returned. of course add your contact information, I wrote and printed mine on a paper. Then I went back to DHL and sent to VFS, my resending date had already passed my submission deadline . But mind you my first submission met the deadline , this is the reason you MUST attach the letter they wrote you ..(I e if your case is as mine) . The good news is , I got back my passport stamped and received yesterday ! Thanks to those in this forum that supported me. Especially @emmafe Good luck !

until you receive a mail from VFS with a tracking number. I hope you wrote your email and phone on your passport data page

Do you add your Biometrics Validity letter (BVL)? It usually sent just before the PPR.
