As a Niger Delta guy, the Hausas have taken our oil. The Igbos have taken our market. The Yorubas have taken our entertainment industry.

What is left for us is our brain. I decided to use these three people that used us. I ventured into online business (book writing) and when it started generating me a couple of millions, I decided to invest in businesses where Hausa, Igbos, and Yorubas will work for me while I sleep and drink wine.

One of the businesses is buying bikes for Hausa guys around here to ride okada for me and submit just 5k per week.

One of them came so early to submit his 5k. One thing I love about these Hausa guys is how good they are in maintenance and how humble they are. Why can't Buhari replicate this?

Let's talk about the Igbos and Yoruba. Should we?

The truth is, you belong to an entirely upper league and people within your age range would unintentionally be seen as not too serious or since they don't move at the same page as you or vibe on the same page as you, they either naturally feel like some misfit and hence disconnection comes in or they simply out of jealousy keep their distance. In-house copywriter? Minimum should be N150k. I don't know why companies still keep on looking for in-house staff for digital jobs. They can easily cut down their cost and still get quality work delivered if they can just be open to the idea

There are Nairalanders earning six figures (In USD) working remotely for foreign based companies.

40k? Some freelancers can make more than that after doing just one job.

Well, what do I know? It's not my money, and I can't really advice you what to do with it. A good idea I picked up along the way is to have some savings in USD. Because the value of the naira keeps on getting worse.

A good place to ask this question would be on the T-Bills thread. Many who are wealthier than you are there, and there are many money-smart individuals there discussing finances every frigging day.

They sent me this message;

What the business is

It's simple. Kindle Publishing. I'll write books and sell them in online bookstores all over the world, starting with Amazon.

How you intend to use the 50k

Well, I am a big believer in not spending everything. So, ten percent of that goes to savings. I'd have used it for investment but it's too small. So, I'll save 500 in a Cowrywise account. Hold it for a year, and keep adding to it as I get more income.

I now have 45k left. I'll pick a niche and hire three ghostwriters to write three short stories for me. I'll work on the fourth, so I can publish a series on the go. I can get some good writers at N1 per word, At 10k words per story, I'll spend 30k on writing.

I'll do the graphics design and editing of the book.

I have 19.5k left. I'll use 10k to promote the books on Amazon, so I can get some sales immediately.

I'll keep the remaining 9.5k for unforeseen expenses and get writing other books.

How you expect to make the money back

From my royalty checks. Based on the book sales, I can make my money back within the first two months of publishing.

I'm literally laughing as I'm typing this. The admin of a writers' platform decided to "monetize" his group by asking those who got jobs via the group should pay a membership fee (I can't think of anything else to call it) of N500 every month.

But apparently they didn't find it funny.

When the comments became too much, the admin locked the group to be opened three hours later. Those who are not comfortable with the terms are advised to 'gbe body e'.
