Brighton1 You lost your dad four years ago and the girl is 22? Could hardly be a time when she needed her father's presence more in her life than as at that time. First of all, don't try to do it alone. Discipline her, yeah, but be a "friend"; a confidante. Lol. That would be super difficult because you're out there working for the family, but force doesn't always solve problems. She's a human being with a brain to think for herself. People say if you carry a carrot and a big stick, you'll go far. The stick is just a deterrent. The carrot is the real OG. Enlist the help of your brother to become close to her and get her to open up. Since you said he's hardworking, then he may be eager to help you with this. Tell your mom to help you get to know this girl too. She may be going through stuff you don't know about. And yes, she's definitely rolling with girls you wouldn't want to be associated with. And you may have to deal with the fact that she's already sleeping around. Not a pleasant thought, but regardless, you need a lotttt of patience and finesse to deal with it. Your biggest weapons are going to be your patience and your family's help. Good luck. |
The rate at which this is going, many countries are going to be drawn into this aggression by the end of the year. Y'all should pray and be ready in any way you can. |
Times like these makes you really miss Chilwell |
This is going to be interesting |

Purely for the sake of entertainment, I'll pick Hazard. His dribbling would be fun to watch. Second choice is Salah. Because he would be dragging defenders up and down the field. ![]() |
With so many animals ruining the country's name at home, it's a relief to find two people abroad with common sense. Congratulations on your win, Izzy. |
Congratulations, Izzy. "A King and more" ![]() |
My family started a tradition this year where each member of the family suggests a book every month and we all read it. Then we discuss what the book is about at the end of the month. That is not a big deal in itself as we are a family of readers. But there was one challenge--time. We are all adults with busy lives and sometimes, it is difficult to settle down and concentrate on reading a book. Some of these books are up to 400 pages, and they are not fiction which are fun to read. Self-development books are awesome, but to be honest, they could also be very boring and tedious. But my brother shared this tip which helps him consume books at a blistering pace. What is the tip? The use of audio books. Now audio books are not a novel idea as they have been around for a while. I've listened to a couple of audio books but I'm more of a print or e-book reader myself. However, when I tried it, I listened to an audio book within two hours that would have taken me a week to read. I was amazed. Even more interesting is the fact that I was able to do other things as I listened to the book. Then, I decided to apply this to my studies. Go to class. Turn on your phone's audio recorder for the duration of the class. As you go back home, plug in your earpiece or air pods and listen to the lecture over again. That way, you don't miss anything the lecturer says. Listening to something over and over again also helps it stick to your memory so you're able to recall better when tests or exams come around. It also gives you better understanding when you pick up your book to revise. By the time you're ready to read, you're already familiar with the topic at hand and reading will be a breeze. The best part of this is that you can listen to recordings while walking, or doing the laundry or just about any other thing, so that's a big boost in your productivity! Hope this helps someone. ![]() Try it out and share your experience. Good luck! |
Long Note Alert! Thinking about loneliness on Christmas evening. Hm. I was about to type a really long note, but I realized some things. Pardon me if I'm wrong but I have two assumptions: 1. You're young, and not yet financially independent. If this is correct, then you should have higher priorities than attracting girls. 2. Second, you're not too comfortable with where you are, but you are not willing to stress yourself to get out of it. In other words, you want something for nothing. If you have these problems, you know what you need to do to solve them. Back to your question, you don't need to be an extrovert in other to enjoy the company of beautiful girls. There are a lot of things within your control that you can do to change the situation. >> Dress good. This would give you a confidence boost like a drug addict gets super high on cocaine >> Get busy. Be a problem solver. This is the attraction part of getting female companionship. It's not all about chasing. You need to make them come to you too. >> You need to go out. You can't avoid this. You cannot catch fish in the forest. You need to go to where your prospects are. Go to the river to find some fish. I'm not saying you need to become Mr. Sociable. Just move out of your environment once in a while--church is a good place to start if you're having doubts. See a friend. See a movie. Lots of other things you can do, but these should help you get started. Good luck. |
Ejirekenny:Click on his profile. Scroll down. You should see the option, "Send an email to this member" Click on it and Nairaland would send an email to him. If he's interested, he'll respond to you via email. |
Lol. Um, I don't even know where to begin. As someone rightly posted, this is just infatuation, not love. Something else, if you're really thirty, and you're really thinking about marriage, then you have a long, long way to go in terms of changing your mindset. Besides, I think it's inherently selfish for you to want something so bad that you don't even consider what the other person wants. Did you stop to think about what she wants and desires? What would help her along her career path? Do you know the kind of future she envisions for herself? Can you provide that? Lol. Another mistake is you've fallen in love with what you see on TV. Celebrity or not, white lady or not, everyone's personality traits, character, financial and social status comes to bear when thinking about long term relationships. Even if this lady agrees for you, do you know the kind of character or habits she may have that would drive you crazy? FuckYouPorn:That thick Russian accent in Black Widow was for her movie role. She's a proper British lady and has a lighter, more feminine voice. Just FYI. I could go on. Do you know anything about the hassles involved in dating a celebrity? Lol Check out your Hollywood superstars and find out how many of them have good marital relationships. They're actually way more effed up than we are in that regard. Mehn, you're living in a bubble. Get out of your head and face your life. |

Awinneralways:I need to frame this answer and hang it on my wall. You're too sensible, sir. |
iLegendd:Hey, big man. What platform do you keep your dollars and pounds and how do you fund it? Is it a dorm account or a platform like PayPal? |
Foolish, foolish, foolish... |
Do you have the soft copy? |
@OP So what's the value you have given from this small post of yours? |
Bring out her father let's hire some Hausa men to flog him. |

igbowoman:Mom is my first love. Breadwinner. School owner. Mother of a large family. Witty. Intelligent. Patient. Leader in church. More things than I can mention here. |
It's the same thing for me. I don't think the number means anything. I just ignore it. When I had some ish in the bank early this year and the customer care service guy asked why there's an extra account there, I just told him that's how it has been. He didn't seem to know anything about it either. If you check the banking app, you'll see only your accounts there. This happens only in USSD. |

BlackSan:Nah, this is the first time I'm hearing about Flex Jobs. People create PayPal accounts different ways today, some are working; some are not. I paid about 30k for a certain information material last year detailing how to get a stress-less PayPal account. It involves you registering a company in the U. S. through a law firm. As a bonus, you get a fully verified Stripe and PayPal account that won't give you any trouble. All perfectly legal. You don't have to worry about phone number or address because it shows up on your profile as that of the company. I haven't created mine yet, cos I wanna think carefully about the brand I'm creating. Secondly, it costs about $700 to set it up. I'll be looking at it in the future. If you spend about thirty minutes on Nairaland, you'll find some information that would help you create a PayPal account, I'm sure. |
When I was younger, I did something that pissed my elder sister off, I don't remember what. She came after me, teeth and fist, tore my shirt. When I had taken all I could, I swung around and hit her. Just once. When my dad heard of it, he woke me up that night. And flogged me senseless. That insulated cable used for running underground installations, he used it till it broke and the inner components were showing. For every stroke of his hand, I got six to eight markings. My hand was swollen for a week afterwards. He didn't ask whether she was the offender or not. I learned my lesson that night. No matter the provocation, a man's not meant to hit a lady. |
