Who are the children of Nzeogwu? Who was his wife?

Who voted for Nzeogwu? Who voted for Ironsi? They both represented nobody, they went to the military on their own
OkayDaddy:
Yes na
Your ancestors who died young are not your ancestors because they died young.
Why are you now crying over Biafran children?

You no get sense
PoliticsRe: Umahi: Funding For Coastal Road Erroneously Written As ‘Lagos-PH’ In 2025 Budget by DMerciful(m): 3:02pm On Jan 17, 2025
PDP era in hindsight were glorious years. Stop bringing PDP to APC satanic failures
free2ryhme:
The misrepresentation of funding for the Lagos-Calabar coastal road project in the budget is concerning, particularly with the confusion over the details. It brings to mind the PDP era, when many major projects went unaccounted for amid widespread corruption and embezzlement.
PoliticsRe: Who Foiled The January 15, 1966 Coup? by DMerciful(m): 2:57pm On Jan 17, 2025
You keep missing the point. You can't hold civilians responsible for the actions of 30yrs old soldiers
christistruth01:
Even Nzeogwu said the execution of the Coup in the South was Tribal
PoliticsRe: Who Foiled The January 15, 1966 Coup? by DMerciful(m): 2:51pm On Jan 17, 2025
Ironsi and Nzeogwu are nobody's ancestors.
Nzeogwu was 30yrs old at the time
OkayDaddy:
Yes, you will be held accountable for the foolishness of your ancestors. After all, the name Biafra you are talking about today was brought up by your ancestors, not you.

You agitation for secession will be treated just how you treated Midwest people who were agitating for secession.

Who elected Ironsi? Igbos?
Christistruth02:
The First World War was set off as the reprisal for the Killing of one single Man
Archduke Ferdinand of the Austro Hungarian Empire

It was the Equivalent of Assasinating Crown Prince William of England

Some People Are high Value Targets

Assasinating the President Of America can Start a War

Sardauna Balewa Akintola Maimalari Ademulegun we’re very high Value Targets
because of their Positions

Imagine if anyone deliberately happens to attack Sultan of Sokoto, Ooni, Or Oba of Benin
The fall out may be beyond the Control of the Security Forces especially if it is believed to
be a Tribally or Sectional Targetted attack because they are the representatives of their People

Gen Ironsi made a great blunder by not putting the Coup plotters on Trial

According to the Military Law of the Time the Coup plotters were supposed to be put
On Trial within 10 days and that never happened because Gen Ironsi had hand in the Coup
PoliticsRe: Nnamdi Kanu Offers ₦1 Million Challenge To Law Students by DMerciful(m): 2:49pm On Jan 17, 2025
Tinubu should not release him. The court should do it jon expressly. Why continuous adjournment over long periods of time?
kedeojo:
Is court of appeal higher than supreme Court. Nmandi kanu has murdered sleep, him too will not sleep. Una no get shame, same Tinubu and family he wanted to kill during endsars and he did live video of attacking him. No Igbo condemned him but not as fate has it, Tinubu is now the president and foolish people want him be released by same man he wanted to kill. He might even been in prison till 2031.
PoliticsRe: Anioma Shouldn't Join SE But Nzeogwu That Led The Coup Is From Anioma by DMerciful(m): 2:47pm On Jan 17, 2025
This is a water argument. There is no way the reprisals were because of children in the East singing. The Aburi accord that Gowon did not honour was not because of children mocking songs
Godwin4444:
so they didn't carry d generality of Igbos but u Igbos hailed them after d war n u even created labels taunting them by making nzeogwu an angel n sarduana a devil

U will continue paying for it
PoliticsRe: Who Foiled The January 15, 1966 Coup? by DMerciful(m): 2:45pm On Jan 17, 2025
All Nigerians supported the coup at first until BBC twisted it to an Igbo coup. Again, the specific officers acted on their own, they had zero votes and are dead.

Godwin4444:
y don't u collectively condemn them as Igbos then?

When gbenga adeyinka grandson realised he had no support he was easily defeated but when nnamdi kanu n ekpa realised they had support they wax stronger

U want us to believe u Igbos didn't support it but u applauded them after d coup

U can't change history

Una too like to be shifting goal post unnecessarily
PoliticsRe: Nnamdi Kanu Offers ₦1 Million Challenge To Law Students by DMerciful(m): 9:12am On Jan 17, 2025
He was acquitted at the court of appeal.
AntiZikist:
There's already a Supreme Court ruling that has put aside the original High Court ruling that ordered Kanu to be released from DSS custody and returned to Kenya over the rendition carried out by the Nigerian government.

The High Court ruling that ordered Kanu's rendition as illegal is separate from that in which he is standing trial for Treason and terrorism charges.

At no point has any court in Nigeria acquitted and discharged Kanu for his existing treasonable felon and terrorism case.

The Supreme Court overturned the separate high court ruling declaring Kanu's rendition illegal and declared that Kanu should continue to face his criminal case that has been pending for years.

No court in Nigeria has acquitted and discharged Kanu for his criminal case and the Supreme court has since set aside the parallel High Court ruling declaring his rendition illegal.
PoliticsRe: Remembrance Day: Who Are The Victims, Who Are The Villains by DMerciful(m): 9:08am On Jan 17, 2025
He did not do it for the Igbos. He did it to maintain Nigeria's territorial integrity.
helinues:
But Ironsi was there hence this conversation. You asked a question which I answered
PoliticsRe: Remembrance Day: Who Are The Victims, Who Are The Villains by DMerciful(m): 9:06am On Jan 17, 2025
Laughable!

So if Ironsi wasn't there, whoever that is there will let that happen?
helinues:
He stopped Adaka Boro from seceding from old Eastern Region which Ojukwu was the administrator as that won't allow Ojukwu to have access to old Mid west resources. That was in favour of the Igbo's.
PoliticsRe: Remembrance Day: Who Are The Victims, Who Are The Villains by DMerciful(m): 9:01am On Jan 17, 2025

Aguiyi Ironsi was from where?
PoliticsRe: Remembrance Day: Who Are The Victims, Who Are The Villains by DMerciful(m): 8:59am On Jan 17, 2025
Igbos benefitted nothing but war.

The North benefitted because they took over from 1966 and restructure Nigeria to increase their percentage stake from 25% to 50%
helinues:
You are being deliberately mischievous. We are talking about 1966 not 1967
PoliticsRe: Remembrance Day: Who Are The Victims, Who Are The Villains by DMerciful(m): 8:56am On Jan 17, 2025
Before 1966 Jan, the North was 25%, East 25%, West 25% and Midwest 25%.

By 1967, the North became 50% (6 states) and the West, East and Midwest became 50% combined( 6 states) . This is what Gowon did. Now the North is 19 states plus Abuja and the South is 17 states.

Who benefited?
helinues:
That's what you did on this thread. You are not interested in admitting the facts that the 1966 was Igbo's coup as they are the highest beneficiary
PoliticsRe: Remembrance Day: Who Are The Victims, Who Are The Villains by DMerciful(m): 8:51am On Jan 17, 2025

PoliticsRe: Who Foiled The January 15, 1966 Coup? by DMerciful(m): 8:45am On Jan 17, 2025
You have no point. Ironsi and Nzeogwu acted on their own.

You see how hypocritical you are?

Anytime we talk of Biafra restoration, you'll say we should ask our elected officials in national assembly to move a motion for it. But you want to hold us accountable for actions of unelected people who died long before we were born
OkayDaddy:
The people who Northerners, Mid-westerners and Westerners voted for, Nzeogwu killed them and Ironsi protected Nzeogwu and in fact, gave him succour in Igboland.
You are here asking foolish questions.

You people are hypocrites and karma is showing you shege.
PoliticsRe: Who Foiled The January 15, 1966 Coup? by DMerciful(m): 8:38am On Jan 17, 2025
Talk like an educated person. Whose mandate does Ironsi have? Who voted for him? Who voted for Nzeogwu?
OkayDaddy:
No, it is Fulani and Ibibio mandate he has.

You killed elected leaders from other regions, spared your own leaders and then, refused to punish those who killed leaders from other regions. You're asking if he has mandate.

You see ehn, you people from that your side are shameless people. The more you talk about this, the more your folly and hypocrisy becomes apparent.
PoliticsRe: Who Foiled The January 15, 1966 Coup? by DMerciful(m): 8:37am On Jan 17, 2025
So Biafra agitation started today?
OkayDaddy:
Nnamdi Kanu campaigned for Jonathan, you didn't know it wasn't working then.

You campaigned for Peter Obi, you didn't know it wasn't working then.

Now that you've lost out, you want secession. The same secession you denied Midwest people of.

After killing millions, the issue is not resolved to you guys?

The country is not working for anybody.

We can dissolve this union to save lives
OkayDaddy:
See this hypocrite. grin
If secession is past, why are you crying for it today?

You can kill SS people because you were in a position of power but you now want them to support your quest for the very same thing you killed them for.

Una no get shame for that your side.
PoliticsRe: Who Foiled The January 15, 1966 Coup? by DMerciful(m): 8:30am On Jan 17, 2025

You really have no point

PoliticsRe: Remembrance Day: Who Are The Victims, Who Are The Villains by DMerciful(m): 8:26am On Jan 17, 2025
We don't need 1966!

If we cannot coexist in 2025, break the union
helinues:
Hahahah, almost all tribes expressed themselves about the 1966 coup. It's only the Igbo's who have entirely different version of the story.

Except if you are saying only Igbo's account about the history is right and others were drunk
PoliticsRe: Who Foiled The January 15, 1966 Coup? by DMerciful(m): 8:26am On Jan 17, 2025
Because Ironsi is Igbos means he has Igbos mandate? Did anybody voted for Ironsi?
OkayDaddy:
Why did Ironsi, an Igbo man move the Igbo Coup splitters to Imo in the Eastern Region and refuse to try them for 6 good months?
PoliticsRe: Who Foiled The January 15, 1966 Coup? by DMerciful(m): 8:24am On Jan 17, 2025
You clearly have no point. No Hausa-Fulani was expelled
pquaver:
Do U Not AS igbos in Support of ipob and esn man punish the whole Hausa fulani in the north for the crimes of certain rogue herdsmen downsouth? When u demanded all Hausa fulani should leave igboland?

PoliticsRe: Who Foiled The January 15, 1966 Coup? by DMerciful(m): 8:23am On Jan 17, 2025
You keep getting stuck in the past
OkayDaddy:
When the Midwest minorities pushed for Secession, Igbos in the Eastern Regional government led by that cowardly Ojukwu killed them and quelled their agitation.
