How mischievous of you.

Soludo has been your darling since day 1 because of Obi hate yet double speaking now because you know he is a failure we told you he'd be

Soludo is an evidence that having so much certificate is not requisites for good governance. The man is literally doing nothing in the State. Funny no single ipobss people calls him out for bad governance but always looking out and blaming others
PoliticsRe: Soludo Has No Projects Except Those Killed By Kidnappers – Rev. Fr. Ebube Muonso by DMerciful(m): 10:05pm On Jan 17, 2025
Soludo is just a professor that cannot show workings.

He started by criticizing Obi, now people are gonna compare him with Obi who is a 100 times better than him
Armaggedon:
Obiano appointed Obidimma's brother SA and they were singing his praises despite the corruption during obiano's tenure. Today soludo has suddenly turned bad after drawing a fine line between church and government.

Nigeria is a country where anything happens. If this one was prosecuted for crush that resulted to the death of about 50 people in his prayer ground, he would've truly learnt some lessons about accountability.

Comparing Obi with the criminal drug baron and certificate forger is an aberration, a travesty.

Obi is miles ahead of that Chicago fraud

PoliticsRe: Why Boko Haram, Bandits Thrive: How NGOs, Others Aid Terrorists by DMerciful(m): 9:26pm On Jan 17, 2025
Yet, this same military pardons terrorists as repentant. They give them money, houses, sponsorship and absorb some into the military.

Una nor ready to place culpability where it belongs. Fight against bokoharam is fight against the North indeed - Buhari
PressMyButton:
Let's keep exposing the satanic NGOs and foreign sponsors fuelling these terrorists, including local conspirators that are sympathetic to these terrorists. I particularly suspect Amnesty international, the earlier the FG boot them the hell out, the sooner we finish off these ragtag terrorists. The way Amnesty international speak for the terrorists & fighting the military over terrorist matter is crazy Yet you won't hear them say a word over Isreal's atrocities & genocide or condemn US war crimes.
Whenever the CDS comes out to speak, let's respect him, he has a lot of info at his desk.

Go and look Atiku's picture when he was young, he looks Fulani.

Kwankwaso does not look like fulani. Not all fulanis will be slim...its impossible
Bandirao:
but you also missed my point, a Fulani is a Fulani whether he speaks fulfulde or not and that you can still speak fulfulde but never become a Fulani ethnically I think you never heard of maccube and baleebe ? They where people that assimilated and highly connected with the Fulani ruling house they maybe of slave descent or not same like Tafawa balewa who although speak fulfulde and have a Fulani name he is not ethnically Fulani but cultural one, physically Atiku don't even look like Fulani he is very fat and pot bellied wich is highly untypical Fulani and there is little chance of a Fulani being fat and pot bellied as Atiku though very few did, if anything Atiku looks tiv or chamba.
PoliticsRe: The Mistakes Of The Jan 15 1966 Coup Plotters by DMerciful(m): 9:17pm On Jan 17, 2025
They learnt from the mistakes of the first.

When the frog in front falls into a pit, others coming behind take caution.

Murtala spent 6 months on that seat
danvon:
Buhari, Babagida, Gowon, Ty Danjuma, Murtala Mohammed were all pretty young back then too, yet they made less mistakes in their coup.

Exactly my point. America has a Chinese problem upon it and she has has no idea how to solve it. Today's Chinese kids are besting today's American kids in most metrics so these chaotic tactics will only get worse

If you read this article you quoted, they were reacting because Atiku said Buhari isn't a full Fulani man because he can't speak fulfude.

Their reaction is political so can't be taken as real
Bandirao:
this is the first time I read that Atiku grandfather migrated to Adamawa the very facts that he speak fluent fulfulde tell that he has rural background in Adamawa.

Those guys were 30yrs old. What can 30yrs old do today without major mistakes?
danvon:
I think this section is too dramatic and sentimental, I wish we can start studying politics, their mistakes and success without any emotion, regardless of whether you believed it was right or wrong.

The Coup Plotters mistakes

1. Overextension: The coup plotters overestimated themselves, Nigeria back then was a regional system, this meant that power was not located in the centre, capturing Lagos had little value on its own, the coup plotters needed to capture the capitals of each region namely Kaduna, Ibadan and Enugu to have proper authority and they simply did not command enough troops to make this happen. (Benin didn't have political value at this point since the Midwest was newly created) , They only successfully captured Kaduna.

2. Killing Tafawa Balewa: Tafawa Balewa was the prime minister of Nigeria but the truth is that just like Azikiwe, he was a symbolic figure, the true power lied with the president of the NPC which was Ahmadu Bello, arresting Tafawa Balewa would have been a more smarter strategy, and according to Ademoyega this was the actual plan. Killing Ahmadu Bello however was a smart move since he was powerful enough to incite troops and public support against the coup plotters.

3. Not isolating communication: They should have tried to disrupt the communication between the politicians and soldiers, the fact that Akintola knew something was up and was prepared, was a bad omen, in a proper coup, he should have never found out something was up until they came for him. Again this lack of proper disruption led to Aguiyi Ironsi being informed and he then launch his own coup using the chaos and structure the Jan 15 coup plotters created.

4. Not enlisting a superpower: Tafawa Balewa was well liked by the British, there's no way they would have sit back and let him be toppled, if the coup plotters had succeeded, the British would have frustrated them. Dimka who plotted the coup against Murtala Mohammed was smart enough to get British blessing before embarking on the quest, the British liked Gowon and blatantly refused to hand him over for the military trial that ensued after Dimka coup failed. The coup plotters should have tried to get London support, perhaps by promising some concessions.

Atiku said he is Fulani, that his father or grandfather migrated to Adamawa from Kano
Bandirao:
and the funniest thing is that Atiku is not even Fulani grin literally everytribe In Adamawa can speaks fulfulde Atiku tribe become Muslims and assimilated into Fulani culture and languages and the reason other Fulani elites don't speak fulfude is the policy of Dan fodio in which he insists that every dominant language in the emirate is to be speak alongside Arabic which is international language in the Muslim world so Hausa was popular in the western emirates (core Hausa land) and fulfulde in the East (Gombe, bauchi, and adamawa) and the reason eastern emirate speak fulfude as lingua franca is that there is no dominant language in the region too many tribes and while the Hausa settled greatly in bauchi and Gombe and hausanized it Adamawa and taraba remain unhausanized until recently.

I understand your point but those generations of Aussies are not aboriginals. The aboriginals of Australia and New Zealand were driven out to the Micronesia islands. The British were the colonial masters in Australia and New Zealand so other Europeans must fall in line and use English.
SmartPolician:
English is not our native language; it's our Lingua Franca. That was taught in primary school. What that means is that every Nigerian has his own language but has to use English to communicate when speaking with people from a different tribe.

If you go to Enugu, you hear people naturally converse in Igbo. If you go to Abeokuta, you hear people speak Yoruba. If you go to Kano, you hear people speak Hausa. This simply tells you that these people have their original languages but only converse in English because it's a multicultural society.

In Australia, that's not the case. Generations of Aussies have decided to drop their native languages and embrace English. That's why if you travel from Sydney to Melbourne, you only hear people speak English, not some other native languages (as seen in Nigeria).

There's a difference between the two scenarios and I don't think I can explain it beyond this.

Among the political leaders, only Atiku i have seen speak fulfude
Bandirao:
no I can't I entered school very early (3 yrs) and everybody speaks Hausa in school so me but although our father is not happy about it, I never see him speak to his brothers or any other Fulani elderly man and also our mums died early and our father marry a Hausa woman so offsetting our chance of learning fulfulde but insha Allah I will marry a Fulani speaking woman so that my kids can learn the languages.

You really reminded me my limitation cry

China technological advancement is growing in leaps and bounds. Keep swallowing US propaganda.
grandstar:
This has nothing to do with the rise of China.

Tiktok can access the data of its American users and use ut for nefarious purposes.

China is an adversary of the US. China too bans FaxeBook, X and many other apps

India bans Tiktok because they aren't too chummy with China.

China's economy isn't in good and might remain that way for years to come.
PoliticsRe: Attention: Did You Know That There Is No Hausa Among Northern State Governors by DMerciful(m): 6:04pm On Jan 17, 2025
The majority were English so to win the locals, they have to use a common Language.

Germany was spoken in the US substantially but the Germans who makes upto 50% of white Americans had to stop because of persecution for causing the first and second world wars.

Weren't we forced to speak English in Nigeria by the colonial masters?
SmartPolician:
Oga, rest! Not all Europeans speak English, but the Caucasians in Australia adopted it and everyone unanimously dropped all native languages. This is purely a matter of choice, it's not a matter of who chased who out.

That's why they are considered native English speakers and never expected to prove their English proficiency in any scholarship opportunities.

PoliticsRe: Attention: Did You Know That There Is No Hausa Among Northern State Governors by DMerciful(m): 5:57pm On Jan 17, 2025
Can you speak fulfude?
Bandirao:
to be honest the Hausa are not much in to politics the Fulani are mostly tradionally clerics and scholars and have absolutely leadership skills since the time of Mali empire so so we not only ruled Northern Nigeria we are the largest single ethnic group that ruled Nigeria the most and also every country that our population exceeded 5% we produced a president so please don't hate or incite problem northerners are one whether Hausa, Fulani or kanuri we are Muslims and have a long history and shared sudano sahelian history and heritage and we all speak Hausa that is the characteristics of every nation so we are a nation not tribes, that is why a hausaman don't feel a problem if Fulani ruled and vice versa,we even regarded yoruba that assimilated in to us as brothers the brothers and northern minorities like Nupe, igbirra, marghi, tera, bole etc are on there way of fully assimilated in to the great Arewa nation, Usman Dan fodio (may God bless his soul till eternity) really worked and we his descendants did not disappoint we equally continued the tasks.
All hail the sons of futa the Djallos! 💪
