PoliticsRe: Tinubu Doesn’t Have The Constitutional Power To Declare Regional Government by DMerciful(m): 9:48pm On Jun 08, 2024
Not only the national assembly but also 2/3 of state houses of assemblies.

Restructuring will be based on states not regions. SW wants to covertly corner Lagos hence shouting regionalism thats dead on arrival
horsepower102:
Please Nigerians, I am certain you are much smarter than the comments that I am seeing.

It is your senators and House of Representatives members that can VOTE to restructure Nigeria into regional government.

The majority has to vote in favor of it if the bill ever makes it.

This means you have to find a way to convince the north to be in favor of regional government.

Goodluck.

What did Obi do to Atiku? Have you seen Obi badmouthing Atiku?
Judgementa1:
Then Obi is reaping what he did to Atiku.

Karma is at work.
PoliticsRe: Like Buhari, Peter Obi Is A Repackaged Fraud And He Knows It Himself - Sowore by DMerciful(m): 9:22pm On Jun 08, 2024
I don't expect Osuntokun to be tethered to Obi, for what? But if he comes out and start badmouthing Obi then I'll draw my final conclusion.

If Obi leaves LP for PDP, we the Obidients movement will go with him. If he goes to APC the satanic party, we will go with him because we know he is a man of integrity that will destroy the structures of criminality whether within or without
flokii:
Oh, so you were banking on Yorubas support all along, yet attacking notable Yoruba figures like Wole Soyinka?

I wouldn't know whether Osuntokun or whoever wants to betray Obi, politocs is not do or die affair, so anybody can always change sides anytime he or she feels like.

Why do I have this feeling Obi would eventually dump LP and move back to PDP.
PoliticsRe: Welcome To Victoria Island by DMerciful(m): 9:18pm On Jun 08, 2024
Yoruba nation must exit Nigeria first. As long as you're in Nigeria, every inch of Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians
1Sharon:
Exactly. I thought you wanted to check-out, wetin comcern you with Lagos again.
PoliticsRe: Like Buhari, Peter Obi Is A Repackaged Fraud And He Knows It Himself - Sowore by DMerciful(m): 8:58pm On Jun 08, 2024
They're doing a hatchet job. First Bode George,
the Okupe, now Sowore. No wonder Sanusi said Yorubas are the problem of Nigeria.
Judgementa1:
Nobody is ganging up against a corrupt politician like peter.

Sowore just confirmed what everyone knows about the criminal man obi.

Face your WAEC. Leave discussion for your seniors 😔
PoliticsRe: Welcome To Victoria Island by DMerciful(m): 8:27pm On Jun 08, 2024
You can only do that in Yoruba nation...there's no family affair in Nigeria
1Sharon:
Yes. And I'm very certain YOU aren't. Notice how you don't see ACTUAL lagosians policing other yorubas. Stay in your lane and create the lagos you covet.

If an Igbo from Anambra lays claims to Ebonyi, that's not my business, una all be Igbo. That's an Igbo family affair.
PoliticsRe: Like Buhari, Peter Obi Is A Repackaged Fraud And He Knows It Himself - Sowore by DMerciful(m): 8:24pm On Jun 08, 2024
Obj put the Yorubas as people who can govern but Tinubu has destroyed that. Right now, the Northerners know yiu guys are better as opposition, to be doing the chihuahua barking you guys are used to.

Tinubu failures has led to the demystification of that notion that you guys can actually govern at the national level. Awolowo was a regional champion, same as Tinubu.

Just a reminder that Tinubu never won the 2023 elections. Obi beat him in Lagos, he lost in Osun, his home state and in most places. The political elites were scared of Obi's presidency because he will surely break the structures of criminality so were united in preventing his emergence by compromising all institutions of state
seunmsg:
At least, Buhari used his packaging or repackaging to become the president for 8 years. You see that Agulu fraud who achieved nothing as Anambra governor, he’s never sleeping in Aso Rock for a day. Never! No matter the packaging, Peter Obi Gbajue will never become the president of Nigeria 🤣🤣
PoliticsRe: Like Buhari, Peter Obi Is A Repackaged Fraud And He Knows It Himself - Sowore by DMerciful(m): 8:18pm On Jun 08, 2024
Peter Obi won that election. They saw the results coming in then switched off IREV
Fire4fireNL:
This is the same position I've always maintained - all politicians are packaged fraud.

Don't come here and start wailing that one is holier than the other.

Nigerians were presented with 3 packaged fraudulent presidential aspirants in 2023, we only managed to pick the best packaged of them all.

One thing is certain though - Peter Obi never won that election. He performed woefully in the North. That alone cost him that election. He himself knows this... and any reasonable follower(s) should know this too.

They all rigged massively... I mean all three major political party rigged, but the best rigger won. Now, we have a president.

In terms of performance, I believe the Bola Tinubu's administration is on the right track to carry out the necessary reforms to push the country to greater heights in the years ahead (Long-term). Honestly, these reforms are needed if we must compete with other world economies. We can't continue doing same thing year and year again, expecting a different result. A reboot is needed, and I so much believe now is the right time.

In as much as these reforms are needed, a short term welfare package should be provided to the citizens mostly affected by the reforms. No doubt, these reforms brings suffering and hardship in real time, so government should as a matter of urgency make available resources to counter some of the hardships from these reforms.
PoliticsRe: Like Buhari, Peter Obi Is A Repackaged Fraud And He Knows It Himself - Sowore by DMerciful(m): 8:12pm On Jun 08, 2024
Suddenly all these Yoruba elites are ganging up against Obi.

This is to mask the fact that Tinubu is fumbling and still paying subsidy. They're doing a hatchet job of distraction.

If Osuntokun joins them then I'll draw my final conclusion
flokii:
This one loud o.. Sowore hit the nail on the head, no beating around the bush.
What happened to the 250 million Obi was caught with in Lagos?. 250 million that year no be small money o.

PoliticsRe: Is This Statement Of North And South True? by DMerciful(m): 7:14pm On Jun 08, 2024
You're narrow-minded
Godons1:
The only rich People in the South are Yoruba and some South South. However, when you remove illegal wealth, nobody go get shishi for South. You see weting one South East Manager of Zenith Bank do Otedola. That's how most Southerners make their wealth.
PoliticsRe: Welcome To Victoria Island by DMerciful(m): 6:02pm On Jun 08, 2024
Which regionalism? Dey play!
Khyrvxjzy:
why Igbo dey do things like this, cant you guys have one goal and focus. if it biafra know, if it president know

so if regionalism come to play you guys will be fighting that lagos wont be part of south west, a fight you cant win

igbo should be serious and have a clear vision

Its like saying the indians own America of today. It was lost long ago

People are telling you something yet you're claiming whatnot... I'm an part Awori, part Benin and I wonder where you got those rubbish from..
PoliticsRe: 2027:Buhari,Tinubu Made Mess Of Democracy–Ex-apc NWC Member Moves Against Tinubu by DMerciful(m): 5:31pm On Jun 08, 2024
This govt has failed irreversibly. Nothing can be done especially because Tinubu lacks the legitimacy and integrity to move Nigeria from the doldrums
Kenochi:
I took my time to read this article and sincerely Salihu Lukman is very correct. This Government dropped the ball from Day One but it will be unfair to them to claim they have not tried very hard to get it right
There are three key areas this Government must quickly find a way to engage and clear the mess because not doing so can further hurt their hard work
The first is the area of Agriculture, the prices of everyday foodstuffs keep soaring and sincerely there seems to be no end.The Government must as a matter of urgency open the Land borders for foodstuffs to be brought in.There is no shame in admitting that we need help,a lot of it right now
This can be temporary but it must be done within the next six weeks

The Second is Electricity. The Federal Government has handed over to the states the go ahead to start generating and distribution of Electricity. This move is laudable but more is needed..It is like when a toddler starts to walk, you don't leave them alone you still need to guide them
Electricity is money consuming, you need lots of money to become a player in that sector. The FG can help states by providing grants for those that need it and technical know how before they become independent

The third is Security. Almost Everyone seems to agree that we need a semblance of local policing in our villages and towns as the Nigerian police is stretched thin to police the country. The president should shoulder the responsibility of getting the needed votes to create the State police bill and possibly amend the constitution to do so
Nigeria is seriously being tried by non state actors and their action is partly responsible for the low harvest by farmers in certain parts of Nigeria

My submission is that the President needs to start preparing the Nigerian Omelette and he will need to break some eggs to achieve it
PoliticsRe: 2027:Buhari,Tinubu Made Mess Of Democracy–Ex-apc NWC Member Moves Against Tinubu by DMerciful(m): 5:30pm On Jun 08, 2024
Aptly put!
Racoon:
People were warned but parochiial politics primordial and ethno-religious supremacist sentiments beclouded the sound sense of judgement of many people. Now here we are @ this messy political quagmire and cul-de-sac the APC under Buhari and Tinubu have driven it into with the aid of their supporters with equally warped prismatic worldview.

Meanwhile, I don't know why Yoruba elites kept on supporting Tinubu despite the visible flaws from all angles. How do one expects Nigeria to be great again with such high level of open tribalism?

From Femi Fani-Kayode, Wole Soyinka, Doyin Okupe, to Bode George, a common thing with all the political sycophants supporting this failed Tinubu govt is their marked sympathetic attitude to rationalise cluelessness, incompetency and ineptitude. A man with many questionable past was foist upon a nation. Where is our morality and sound judgement.

It is no longer heard of how Tinubu built Lagos and how he was the most prepared presidential candidate? They are now shamelessly economising the truth while rationalising failed leadership. How can a nation makes progress this way?
PoliticsRe: Collation Center - Nigeria Vs South Africa by DMerciful(m): 5:23pm On Jun 08, 2024
Nigerians like you don't want Nigeria to work
helinues:
Wtf is this?

To my best of understanding, Nigeria is not in any competition with anyone.

We all have our different ways of doing things

Modified: Which one is this one wey people go leave the topic of discussion without even making any contributions and be attacking others who have made theirs unnecessarily. Make una shun that attitude jare.

PoliticsRe: The farmers herdsmen conflict ends when state policing Begins. by DMerciful(m): 5:15pm On Jun 08, 2024
5yrs just to implement state police? Thats extremely slow!
Blue3k:
In the next 5 years state policing will be passed into law. States that have already banned open grazing will enforce their laws. More states will ban open grazing in the south. The federal government in an effort to be neutral on the issue won't accept herdsmen in their jails since it doesn't violate federal law. The states enforcing open grazing laws will be first to establish their own prisons.

The herdsmen will eventually have to establish Ranches up north. They will ship the beef south via rail or trucks. The herdsmen will become settled and their culture will change as a result.

Ps: Check in 5 years and let me know I'm wrong.
