PoliticsRe: Here Are Five Reasons Why Peter Obi Will Defeat Tinubu In 2027 Election by DMerciful(m): 2:45am On Aug 11, 2025
Its the decision of everybody that wants to see a new Nigeria.

Atiku won 2019 but couldn't defend his votes. Atiku couldn't even win the North in 2023 despite being the only Northern candidate
Mariangeles:
If he has all that and lacks doggedness, onwehu ebe oji azu aga.

Peter Obi should study and find out how David became king.

David didn't get to the throne by being a "goody goody"
Even though he was already anointed to be king, he fought hard to ascend the throne.

Who is Tinubu's father? Where are his siblings? What primary and secondary schools did he attend? Where did he grow up?
wowcatty:
It’s obvious you can’t trace your lineage or paternity as it’s often the case with those of you that came with colonialists. But guess what, I can 100%.

President Tinubu is the son of the soil, we know his mother Abibatu Mogaji, the former Iyaloja who always spoke about her own grandparents when she was alive. His dad had a root in what’s now known as Osun and that’s enough for us.

Anyone around 80 years old who can trace his 3 pure blood generation to Yorubaland is a Yoruba and those under 40 years old who can get 5 generations of pure Yoruba blood is also Yoruba. But let’s forget far ancestors for now, if your grandparents and parents are 100% Yoruba, then you’re authentic son of Yoruba.

It takes a greater lunacy from you to want more display.

Go and use it to claim presidency in Aso rock then. And will you even think of voting for Amechi if he has to tell you that now. Of what relevant is it to tell you now? Aside that, close to 70 lawyers of Obi couldn't prove that and how he won it. Obi said he won and he would prove it , but unfortunately; he was only busy entertaining is in 2023
PoliticsRe: I Will End Corruption In One Month As President– Rotimi Ameachi by DMerciful(m): 4:35pm On Aug 09, 2025
Is Amaechi from the CPC faction? If no, why are they urging him to pit himself out more?
TimeManager:
CPC faction in the coalition are urging him to put himself in the spotlight, he's being too quiet and allowing others take the media attention.

He knows the President has no power to singlehandedly change anything in the constitution without NASS approval. Even the indigenization bill was withdrawn after it generated outcry from Nigerian. A new constitution requires two third of state houses of Assemblies, no President can do it alone. Ameachi knows this but as a typical politician, he tell the people what they want to hear.

We said it already, they can't reverse the President's policies, none of them can. They all know the policies are the right steps in the right direction. They have nothing to campaign against the President based off on policies, that's why the opposition do not have alternative policies to Mr President policies.

You will instead direct the funds to your wife's pocket.

PoliticsRe: I Will End Corruption In One Month As President– Rotimi Ameachi by DMerciful(m): 4:31pm On Aug 09, 2025
Amaechi should be apologizing for bring APC that wrecked Nigeria.

Amaechi as president will not fundamentally change Nigeria but Peter Obi will reset Nigeria back to standard.

On Peter Obi's rock will the new Nigeria be built and the gates of criminality shall not prevail against him
givedemwotowoto:
Peter Obi is the only Presidential candidate that is ready to take quick decisive action on major issues in Nigeria. He doesn't hide from the press, which is a quality any President should have to constantly reassure the citizens that he understands the reality on ground and has a plan.

Any President who avoids the press creates uncertainty especially with investors who don't want to be guessing what the plan is and how they're being tackled. Without investor confidence, investments and economic growth will slow down and jobs will suffer.

Peter Obi is the President Nigeria needs now.

PoliticsRe: The Lagos King Who Gave Lagos To Britain In 1861 by DMerciful(m): 1:57pm On Aug 09, 2025
Is this King the king of the entire area now called Lagos colony? Did he really have a choice? People like Oba of Benin and King Jaja of Opobo that refused to cooperate, were they not sent on exile?

The black man has always been weak even till this day
dilliond89:
Many Lagosians know the city as Nigeria’s commercial capital today, but few know the king whose signature changed its destiny forever.

In 1861, during a tense standoff with the British, the Oba of Lagos made a decision that turned Lagos into a British colony.
This move still sparks debate over 160 years later — was it an act of wisdom to save his people, or a surrender that cost Lagos its freedom?

One thing is certain: this king’s choice opened the door to a new chapter in Nigeria’s history.

I’ve written the full story here, including:

Why the British wanted Lagos so badly

What led to the shocking treaty

What happened to the king after signing it

How are you sure you're a real Yoruba? Can you trace your family history upto 300yrs in Yorubaland?

How are you sure Tinubu is Yoruba? Do you know who Tinubu's father is?

You comment is a display of lunacy!
wowcatty:
I wouldn’t have apologized, though I know why he did. It was an unnecessary distraction for president Tinubu who is actually the reason this happened to Kwam1 in the first place. My family is surprised I’m defending him cos I don’t really like him, but I’m all for fairness. Apc “loyalists” have no idea the kind of politics that’s being cooked for them, they’re not reading rooms, situations and things around them. K1 should have his own private jet now and I expect him to unveil one, it’s time. How many times has K1 travelled same way in the same condition without being disrespected? The politics of hate that’s being played right now is going to get a lot of not so smart people in the political crosshairs. They can’t get close to president Tinubu, so they will target the people they consider close to him. K1 just survived an assassin a few months ago(though the fake marriage ended last year)in the hand of a “wife” which I made the call 3 years ago before they “got married” that, some people are planting women in certain men’s homes for a mission. K1 did that apology cos it’s politically correct, though it closes a door, but opens another one and it’s a bad look for him and others cos they will be targeted more. Smart people prevent certain things from happening and don’t give enemies ammunitions. What he should have done as soon as he felt disrespected is, to quickly read their body languages alongside what they’re saying and just say something like “you want to stop me from boarding this plane” just to inform his fans who are around there and walk away, then go file a lawsuit against the Bolekaja. It’s all politics and I hope K1 and others who are targets have learned their lesson not to give these people weapons again. Expect more of this but Yoruba Apc must be guided, we’re already a low hanging fruit. President Tinubu is the only president that met Nigeria broke, comatose and doing his best to revive the economy, but still the most disrespected and abused because the evil that holds Nigeria is scared that he will remove Yorubaland from Nigeria and if that happens, Nigeria is dead. That’s it y’all, so expect them to go to hell and back just to stop him. If you’re a full blooded Yoruba, you should be supporting your own cos others are supporting theirs at all cost as you’re known as people who don’t support each other. Forget all the Yoruba sounding names including that of the pilot, they’re not Yoruba. Our enemies have figured out how to find one Yoruba man somewhere who is always the reason they’re claiming to be Yoruba even when all their grandmas, the other grandfather and both parents are not real Yoruba. When honest people who are mixed introduce themselves, they always say where both parents are from, they don’t claim just where one parent or grandparent is from, they say things like, I’m half this half that, but when it comes to Nigeria they claim to be Yoruba even when they’re just 6.25% Yoruba blood because it’s a weapon of mass destruction to ruin Yorubaland.

You can't force unity or use threat of war to force unity. Two people can only walk unless they agree!
RealLordZeus:
This is what will likely happen to Nigeria if we allow secession of any kind..
We are going to split into as much as 20 nations which will attract several civil wars and a lot of humanitarian crises.

I was just thinking this morning about the possibility of having a monarchial system like the king of malaysia in Western Nigeria in the event of a successful split.
The Yorubas are kind of like the only largest tribe with a bit of homogeneity yet, in such a scenario, there is likely going to be a civil war between the Oni of Ife and Alaafin of Oyo, in the past, there may be some arrangement that keeps the power in check but these current set of monarch will never agree to such arrangement
PoliticsRe: Kwam1’s Apology: AGF, IG Will Decide, Says NCAA by DMerciful(m):
You guys lack the capacity to run a society where JUSTICE reign!

helinues:
Let go of the matter. After saying sorry, what else?

Modified: I think this clarification is necessary

Before the incident, I had issue with Kwam1 not something personal but based on what people have been saying about it. When I first read the thread, I also condemned him questioning who is he taking himself for and never bother to respond to any other related threads.

When I saw his video yesterday apologizing even admitting he's not supposed to be the one that should be involved in such situation, I was like so he can be apologetic upon how arrogant people have been saying he is

So after apologizing, what else? The herdsmen, bandits that have been killing people, which of them have apologized to Nigerians?

APC, Buhari and Tinubu are the worst things to happen to Nigeria
Putinofrussia:
So also is 100k in 2006 cannot buy what 8k can buy in 1987.

In1990, a 50k bag of rice cost N350.

In 2006, a 50kg bag of rice in Nigeria cost ₦6,000.

In 2025,a 50k bag of rice cost N70,000.
Let us do the maths.

6000 divided by 350 gives ~ 17.

70,000 divided by 6000 gives ~ 11.6= 12(approx)

Comparing the two with the space of 16 and 19 years,Tinubu has done better because price went up 17 times in 1990 (space of 16 years to 2006) even with the fraudulent Fuel Subsidy.

In 2025,with the removal of the fraudulent Fuel Subsidy, price only went up approximately,12 times (and things are still coming down exponentially, we pray)

Kudos to President Tinubu for having got the gut to make these hard decisions that brings prosperity to Nigerians soonest..

Osebanjo:
I’m not sure Obi can win any party’s primary truth be told. He doesn’t seems to take politics seriously. Only trying his luck and banking on his Obidient supporters. Only a party that would give him the ticket unopposed just like LP did in 2023 would favor him.

You hatted for Obi should not make you blind to realities.

Peter Obi is the coalition, without whom there is no coalition.

If Obi leaves the coalition today, it dies!

To look but not to see!

Atiku is perpetually unelectable
kedeojo:
obi and his igbo dominated obidients should know by now that he has no real stake in the so called coalition. Atiku has over 70% of his men already in ADC. Atiku don't even need to spend dollars cos it will be the easiest primary for him. Who are obi men over there. When they keep playing nzogbu nzogbu politics, this are the results. Power is not gotten freely. Obi should have take advantage of the popularity he got in 2023, even thou it was through propaganda and be the one to spearhead the coalition but he decides to be serving rice and donating for the camera and Atiku took the chances and called for coalition against Tinubu. Now obi is now begging for one term, what a miscalculation because he don't want to spend in a Worthy cause but want free ticket. Those eye service donations should have been channeled to spearheading a coalition and later he can still share money for his political gain. Atiku has already gotten ADC to his arm and he is not willing to step down for anyone cos at 78 and 80 in 2027, that he is last chance.
