Game over for Tinubu and his incompetent and corrupt illegitimate government

Obi won the 2023 election but was rigged out by INEC when they shutdown IREV to prevent the rigging at collation centres from being obvious
Handsome777:
You lie. All politicians including Tinubu exploit religion to win elections. Tinubu did that with the Muslim-Muslim ticket. The strategy didn't fully workout for Obi. He was betrayed along the line and he has since moved on. That's all.

What is the crude comment? You comments was clearly borne out of ignorance. While GEJ will not bother himself with contesting, the North trust him more than Tinubu

senatordave1:
From 1999-2015,the ss/se has produced astonishing election results during the presidential polls.in rivets, obj had 2 million votes when the total voter register is 2.4 million,he polled 1.1 million with the voting population at 1.6 million.he got 1.2 million im cross river meanwhile total voters stood at 1.3 million.he got a 709,000 votes in bayelsa meanwhile the register has 777000 voters.he polled similar ridiculous results in edo and delta.
In ebonyi, pdp polled 800,000 out of 1 million possible voters and same thing in enugu.in the 2007 polls, inec never published the state by state figure but preliminary results showed pdp got 1.8 million in rivers.in 2003,the highest buhari got was in kano with 1.6 million votes while pdp got 409,000 and the total state voters amount go 5 million.

In 2011,it was another rigging galore with gej polling 1.2million in abia that has 1.6 million voters,1.1 million in anambra with 1.9 million voters and 1.1 million in imo and anambra.buhari scored less than 50,000 in these states.gej polled 1.8 million in rivers with 2.5 million voters.the biggest win of buhari was in kano scoring 1.6 million, pdp 400,000.even almighty lagos never recorded more than 1.5 million total votes cast.
In 2015,apc and the card readers prevented this ridiculous riggings.the highest margin buhari got was 1.9 million in kano which has almost 5 million voters.its the highest so far in the north but still below the 2 milliin set by rivers in 2003.again,turnout in the ss/se is usually set at about 70% meanwhile it is a general knowledge that the northerners turnout more.therefore, rigging is more prevalent in the ss/se than anywhere else

Atiku still remains the only person with a glimmer of chance at defeating Tinubu.

in a two horse race between Tinubu and Obi, Tinubu will flog the living daylights out of Obi and win the election before noon on election day.

Peter Obi will never be voted for the following reasons.
The Muslim north will never ever vote Obi or any Igbo person
Voting Obi will mean 12 years southern continuous presidency and the north will never allow that

PoliticsRe: Why Are Nigerians Foolishly Talking About 2027 Election? by DMerciful(m): 8:48am On Apr 27, 2025
Nothing will stop Tinubu's defeat whether he rigs or not
truthera:
It is pathetic to see many Nigerians on different social networks consumed by the noise and distractions of 2027 election sponsored by APC agents and opposition political jobbers. Nigerians should be talking about how to confront the terrible state of the country and ways to hold Tinubu and his evil government accountable for high level of insecurity, destruction of lives and economic sabotage going on unabated. It is foolish to dwell so much on an election that is still 2 years away when your house is completely consumed by fire. How many people will survive between now and 2027 if nothing is done to improve the live of the people?

It is unfortunate to see that even the major opposition forces in the likes of Peter Obi and Atiku have failed the people. Instead of them to use their platforms to actively mobilize Nigerians to demand a fair deal from the incompetent evil government, they are busy pushing their own selfish 2027 political ambitions. There is need for Nigerians to look beyond the deceptive noise of 2027 in order to send a strong message of disapproval over the monumental failures of Tinubu on addressing the economic and security challenges facing the nation.

Dissecting the permutations and arguments been made on the issue of 2027, I personally don't see how Nigerians will get a level playing ground in 2027 for a free and fair election if there are no electoral reforms, if the terrible economy and security situation does not improve. I will maintain that unless Nigerians unite in the call for declaration of a national state of emergency on hunger, insecurity and total overhaul in the electoral process that will strip Tinubu of the executive powers to appoint the next INEC chairman... If Nigerians continue to allow themselves to be deceived and fail to unite then nothing will stop the sophisticated rigging/vote buying that will ensure Tinubu's landslide reelection in 2027 (If Nigerians survive his terrible policies till then). Indeed, it will be a brutal painful reality check for the opposition to bear....

Your psychological games will not work. Tinubu will be defeated for sure
Bobodee09:
No matter the coalition Tinubu will win 2027 election conveniently.

Politics is totally different from governance. In this new democratic dispensation this the 2nd time we are having a full breed politician as a president. ObJ is the first and Tinubu is the 2nd.

Tinubu is someone who know how to play the game well....almost all the Governors in Nigeria are solidly behind him.
Most ex Governors, political godfather are with him so what else.

The worst thing any politician can do is to bank on the masses to do the right thing in Nigeria.
For anyone to win a presidential election in Nigeria you need governors on your side and not the masses.

The masses will sell there vote in the south and up north they will vote who there leaders endorse.

Contesting election in Nigeria is very expensive and is purely money driven.

What happened in 2023 can't occur again. Buhari isn't a politicians hence why obi and Atiku were able to get such vote.
Buhari never worked for Tinubu, he stayed off and allow alot of things.
Tinubu as the president and almost all the Governors falling in line, there is no contest but a work over.

Politics is a game.......you can't win presidential election in Nigeria with emotions and sentiment.

PoliticsRe: Need help on projecting Obi as the preferred candidate by DMerciful(m): 12:11pm On Apr 26, 2025
If you don't wanna vote Obi, vote Tinubu. You have one vote!
richmond500:
Ofcos people keep saying Atiku and Tinubu are not electable options, so I decide to use some spare time to find out about Obi portfolio, so I can give him my vote in 2027 and possibly campaign for him, since we all agreed that Tinubu and Atiku are not options.

My criteria for judging Obi was simple, I decide to search for at least 5 positive comments when he was a governor.

After 3yrs of rigorously searching online, I didn't even find a single comment that talked good about Obi. infact I had to look at most of those that are trying to sell him to us as the messiah, but almost all of them never said anything positive about him. Even the wicked Wike, Akpabio, Tinubu, Atiku, El-Rufai, Seriake Dickson, Yahaya Bello etc had some positive comments, but our messiah had none.
I then concluded that searching for 5 comments is an impossible goal for me.

So I am bringing it to Nairaland, please if u have any positive comment about him, kindly drop it. No be to rush deh in.sult me as a defence mechanism

Sherif will be a one-term governor
WhizdomXX:
Sheriff will still beg obedients to vote for him again in 2027, that was what swayed victory for him, against Agege.
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi. Should Be In The Fore Front Of Any Coalition by DMerciful(m): 12:06pm On Apr 26, 2025
Obi will not deputize for Atiku.
Obi-El Rufai is the ticket for 2027. That ticket will be a landslide.
WhizdomXX:
You say only INEC like that is not important. I believe a one term for AA with Obi has vice and then obi takes over in 2031 then a northerner in 2039.
Obj : 8 years
Yaradua:2
Jona: 6
Buhari: 8
Bat: 4 then he retires,
By this time north -14, south-14
AA/Obi: 4 years then he retires
Tinubu may likely recontest in 2031 if he is booted out but
Obi then enters with a good votes gathering and good governing northerner as his vice. Someone who has what it takes to take over from Obi at any time like Yemi Osibanjo.
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi. Should Be In The Fore Front Of Any Coalition by DMerciful(m): 12:02pm On Apr 26, 2025
Obi-El Rufai ticket will defeat Tinubu before 12pm on election day
Freshtruth:
Prior to 2023 elections, peter obi did not have a governor backing him up but still went on to produce 6. 1 million votes this is even as claim as inec, Atiku with over 10 PDP governor's backing him have 6.9m votes. If u watch recently the spotlights and attacks is on obi and LP. The government is just for us on Lp and obi what does that tell u it clearly shows he won 2023 presidential electiond. If he was not the major treat nobody will take obi serious. And obedient has not ran to Dubai or any country to wait after 4years he kept himself relevant critizing the government on any giving opportunity this to show u this man is more ready for 2027. So any coalition that Peter obi won't be on the forefront is dead on arrival. I believe the north are ready to back Peter obi than Atiku going forward to 2027. Anything make Atiku step down for obi Tinubu is a gonner. Na only inec feel help am 2027

Tinubu is such a terrible illegitimate president

Your comments itself is a pure joke. That because you are a Yoruba, that you voted for this government shouldn't stop you to be productive in life.

It go better, it go better, na line I have been hearing in Nigeria before being born self.

How are others be able to get through whichever government that you can't?
PoliticsRe: How Badly Has The Elite Yoruba Tribe Sank by DMerciful(m): 11:52am On Apr 26, 2025
You genuinely believed Tinubu was the best candidate? How naive!

Did Tinubu attend any debate to defend his manifesto? What about his forgery and corruption cases? His drug case?

Can you confidently say you know Tinubu's educational background?

All these were signs that he wasn't the right person but you were carried away that he built Lagos. If he built Lagos,
how come he lost in Lagos?
Helloworld123:
It pains my heart dearly to see how badly things have gone because of politics. When I come to nairaland or visit twitter, I feel sad how things have turned out.

To start with, I am a Yoruba man who voted for Tinubu. I mean, I suffered on this very day to vote for him. There was no money, there was no transportation. I worked many kilometers to my polling unit and back home.

At that time, I genuinely believed he was the best candidate. Leadership, political will - if there was anyone to make tough decisions, I was sure he would make the call, etc. This had nothing to do with tribe.

Till date, that decision is the worst I have made in my life. I have not regretted anything more. First, the level of tribalism is over the roof. The country is burning and what the youth discuss is irrelevant tribal conquest that does not better anyone's life.

Recently, all you see is vehement argument about whether Rema is Igbo, Oshimen is Yoruba. Don't we have thinking youths anymore? Have you all lost it?

We are in a crisis situation in this country. I earn a lot for feed comfortably and also feed others but I'm not satisfied. With my salary, I could be building a house project almost to completion at this time. Sachet water is #50. Are you not disgusted? Malt is #700, the money that does important stuff in the past is now what we use to eat a single meal today. How have our youth sank?

I blame this mainly on the Yoruba youth. Since Tinubu won, it seems they lost their senses. They don't seem to be interested in the merit of the matter. Some of them are cursing and fighting us online for daring to ask questions. Some of these so called youth did not even vote.

How can you ask us not to speak when fuel is x5, rice is x6, drink is x4? What are you genuinely gaining from the government as a young man who cherishes his future? We know about the paid actors queuing on fp of every topic to defend the government. What about the ones not paid?

Have we lost it as a tribe? Are we willing to sacrifice our own future to please political dynasties? We need to start thinking more and stop fooling.
