In May 2023, former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, warned Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, against falling out with his predecessor and political godfather, Nyesom Wike, if he wants to govern the state peacefully.

Fayose gave the warning at a State Banquet held to honour Wike after he handed over office to Fubara.

Recall that Fayose, who is known for his outspokenness, described Wike as a “troublemaker” and that it is better to be with him than against him.

He also advised Fubara to clothe Wike in a garment of honour and to close his eyes completely to avoid seeing anything that could cause problems between them.

He doesn't need to mediate any fight, he only needed to call the unelected Wike to order.

For the BOD, This is just my opinion.

I feel the declaration of state of Emergency in Rivers state doesn't give any of the players victory, hence a pyrrhic victory.

Though I think the masses lost more cos fundamental rights has been suspended.

Wike is the second greatest loser cos he lost his golden chance to impeach Fubara for at least another six months and 2027 is fast approaching, secondly he has lost the only structure he holds which is the legislative.

SIM is the third greatest loser, though he still have the judiciary and RISEIC but they won't function for six months but no one will remove them.

The only winner here is Tinubu, he could use this chance to take control of the states structure.
