This is real example of stateman but here in nigeria we have demagogues claiming they are statemen. Foolish politicians! |
MIKOLOWISKA:Good. |
MIKOLOWISKA:There's format which you must follow like example petitioning Senate standing on a particular bill must follow the Senate format. These are steps to follow: The petition must be addressed to the Senate. It must contain a request for action by the Senate or the Parliament. The text of the petition must be visible on every page. Only original documents will be accepted – no faxes or photocopies no letters, affidavits, or other documents can be attached. |
REVOLUTION IS THE WAY TO GO! |
MIKOLOWISKA:Yes you can always petition them if you think you have a reason or their actions doesn't conform with the constitution or the fundamental human rights but be guided that only a senator can present your petition. To petition any bill to be signed into law you may need to forward your petition to a senator who will present it in the house. |
MIKOLOWISKA:Did you mean probate? well if you meant probate, probate is court process by which a will is proved valid or invalid. The legal process wherein the estate of a decedent is administered. Every civil lawsuit has three basic steps: 1. Filing the Petition, 2. Giving legal notice to the other party or parties, and 3. Finalizing the matter in court. This explains how to give legal notice to the other parties in a lawsuit. The person who files a lawsuit is called the Petitioner. The Petitioner is the person who asks the Court to do something. The other parties in the family law lawsuit are called the Respondents. If you file a divorce, the Respondent is your spouse. If you are a parent filing a custody lawsuit or Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship, the Respondent usually includes the other parent or other adult caregiver who has lived with the child for at least six months. All parties in a lawsuit must be given legal notice or copy of the law suit. This means they must be informed that the Petitioner has asked the Court to do something that might affect the Respondent's legal rights. It is not enough for the Petitioner to tell the Respondent about the lawsuit. |

Ioannes:You are welcome. it's an enlightenment on filing a petition. |

[quote author=lionshare post=46550948]Comparative Politics...Why is it that all pol sys dont perform the same way? Have you considered the factors inherent in each system? Besides, so you think USA, Germany, India, Canada e.t.c, did not consider fiscal federalism before opting for federalism. Do you know the only major country claiming to be a con-federal state is Switzerland yet it has a strong central govt?[/quote US operating rigid constitution which means it is codified in one document and amendment is very difficult not like ours which is very flexible, easy to amend. would you now say nigeria should operate rigid constitution to make the central powerful? it's also depend on the constitution. one country may combine different systems of government to perform very well while another may choose to operate only systems. There are some countries operating the same federal system while their legislature is unicameral meaning only one house chamber abinitio while Nigeria is operating bicameral. if one advocated nigeria should operate unicameral legislature because of the extra cost of running bicameral then Nigeria should be ready to accommodate delay in passing bill into laws. This is the reason comparative politics as a course is very important. You said Switzerland is operating con-federal but do you know that it may be operating con-federal system while it is operating the structures of unitary system? note: con-federal is a totally weak central government, federal shares some of it powers with the regional governments in only the residual list and true federalism is not totally weak because defence and foreign affairs functions are left for it to perform. |
lionshare:I can't teach you any further cos you are far from the knowledge of comparative politics. comparative politics make one or a political scientist to figure why a particular system of government is successful in one country than the others thus being the reason why we compare. all political systems do not perform the same way others do. a failure of one system would make another system a success in another country. we are operating federal system of government because there is the need for unity and oneness due to multiplicity of languages and ethnicity. so if we consider fiscal federalism then we should be ready for regionalism instead of patriotism. it can begin to pit one region against and take away the feeling of oneness therefore making each region prone to cessation. |
engrhorla:May be you should school me on this topic. Why wouldn't Alex Ekwueme advocated for true federalism when he knew it is the only way biafra could be achieved. if you think true federalism doesn't lead to regionalism then I see no reason why I should continue schooling one who is far from the language of political science. |
lionshare:Mr man, in a federal system of government structure, the states or units making up the government are called regions and where the overall head of government is called the central also where absolute powers are resided. The central government cannot remain overall powerfull in true federalism cause it's absolute powers enshrined in exclusive list of the constitution which it legislate alone are also being performed by the regional governments. Therefore, the central government has no absolute power over the states. The central is left with absolute powers in terms of foreign affairs and defence. I am a political scientist, this is my field. |
one of the advantages of true federalism is that the regional governments enter into competition in terms of development. This would quicken development in all the 36 states. The disadvantage is that unity could be lost among the 36 states making up the federation units as it gives room for cessation because power is resided in the regions. Most of the supreme powers are withdrawn from the central government and are concentrated in the regional governments making the regional governments prone to cessation. |

youthofnaija:I am also experiencing the same thing. when is our own screening date? |
Are you educated at all? if at all you are on what basis did you come to this conclusion? This is the reason why our institutions needs to start producing graduates who are vigorously broad in knowledge. Our graduates are too limited to their specific disciplines and so they tend to become educated illiterates. I would advice you to take up a course in international law and some courses in political science such as international relations, security and strategic studies, theory of the state and conflict resolution theories. I think this advice would helped groom yourself and put a stop to this public fora embarrassment. |
Op your number is a fact cos she really calls me big head. |
Foolish man without common sense. Instead of committing suicide why don't you get yourself armed with an explosive device and find a way into the house of senate, kill yourself and also kill those prominent people eating our yams. At least it would reduced government spending on allowances. Don't just waste life without killing any prominent politician cos they are our problems. They are the reasons why we are where we are today. |
This is not necessary cos under administration I filled my discipline as political science as it was not listed. I did my screening successfully and I got Q. I met my course mates who equally did the same thing they all got Q too. What I think is they already knew that some courses that are related to those listed ought to have been listed the same reason they are conducting general screening at least to ascertained if one discipline fit under which the person registered or not and also if your meet the requirement. |
