CuriousMind2022: It's a known fact that most Nigerian girls marry who they consider ready for marriage and not necessarily who they love. I am exactly in that dilemma and the question I am asking myself is whether I should continue in this loveless marriage or slowly drift and walk away.
My marriage is barely 2 years and a few months, but it has been a rough journey for me. Things I never envisaged I would experience in my marriage, I have suffered, from utmost disrespect to verbal abuse.
I came to the conclusion that she doesn't love or care about me based on what happened yesterday. I was recently transferred from my base to a new location and because of that, I would only be able to visit weekends or twice a month. Prior to that, we barely had sex once a week.
We had already had sex the normal once we usually had it (Saturday morning), but I wanted more because I will only be coming back after two weeks. I initiated a move on Sunday morning, she declined because she was thinking of preparing food for our baby before we leave for church. We went to church and came back, and as usual, my wife was in her undies (just panties and bra) in the sitting room (This was what she wore throughout that Sunday).
I watched her walk around the house in that and that even turned me on the more. It is obvious to me now that to my wife I don't really matter in the grand scheme of things. She is only caring and concerned, when she is not angry (when we are good and we don't have any issues). I believe that when you love somebody, you treat them right and show genuine love and care for them even when you're upset with them. This is what I have constantly shown to my wife in our 2+ years of marriage.
Back to my story of what happened weekend/Monday. My wife never bothered to call me to check if I arrived safely since I left the house yesterday. I even called her once (primarily to check on my daughter), but she didn't pick up and she didn't call back, and up till now, we have not spoken.
She obviously does not care whether I arrived safely in my station or not. In this country of insecurities, a family member of yours will travel and you do not care whether he/she arrived safely, that is the height for me, and in the actual sense, I should be the one upset here because she left me high and dry, despite knowing fully well I am very Hot.
I am a family-oriented person, I have always dreamt of having a peaceful, loving, and Godly home but unfortunately, the reverse is the case for my wife. I began to understand why family background is very important in a person's life, after getting married. My wife is from a family where they place little or no value on marriage. Her mother had children with 2 men, and my wife is obviously working very hard to follow that same path. She shows little or no enthusiasm in making our marriage work. I am always the one to initiate moves to resolve issues when we quarrel, whether I am right or wrong, I do not care, my focus is just on making my marriage work and my home peaceful.
This last episode shook me very hard, and I have been asking myself whether I want to continue in this loveless marriage or opt out. Working and living in a different city will even make it easier for me.

Omooba77: The Bank of Industry (BoI) recorded N2.3 trillion profit before tax under President Muhammadu Buhari, says Aliyu Dikko, chairman of the bank’s board of directors.
Mr Dikko stated this on the sidelines of BoI’s 63rd annual general meeting in Abuja.
“It has been excellent. If you look at the eight years when we came on board, the total assets of the bank were about N630 billion. Right now, it has grown to about 2. 3 trillion. So you can see that it has multiplied by more than three times,” the BoI honcho stated. “So the bank has done excellently well in the last eight years.”
On micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Mr Dikko said the risk encountered in MSMEs was that money could be lost easily.
According to him, this makes it difficult for financial institutions to give out loans to small business owners quickly.
”What we are trying to get the government to do, is to create a corporation that guarantees SMEs,” the BoI chair explained. “Once we have that, the bank will be willing to give to the SMEs because they know that whatever they give to them is guaranteed by any organisation. ”
On the bank’s projections for 2023, the board chairman said Africa’s economic growth was expected to remain slow due to spillover effects from uncertainties in the global environment.
He said as the debt servicing burden rises, many African governments are expected to seek bilateral and multilateral support to manage the adverse economic impact.

I explained everything to my family and everyone including my mother, and they keep advicing me to stand on my feet and fight for my home, so long as they's no violence. That I shouldn't divorce my husband. We always have heated argument, raising voice at each other.
My mother inlaw on the other hand, was crying on the phone. Telling me not to mention that name (divorce) ever again. All the family members are not in support of divorce, but the main person I'm married to seems not to care at all.

I'm a guy in his early 20s and I'm a University student. So, early late January, I had s*x with a girl in my area, we've known for long and we've been friends for long anyways. Since our first sex, we've had other s*x. So early April, we had s*x again(the s*x has always been unprotected) and one week after the s*x, I noticed a sore around my mouth which we all call a sign of fever. Then after, my penis started itching without any rash though, then later on, I started noticing little rashes on them, though they're not pronounced at all. Also, I started seeing just little rashes around my pubis region which are very itchy. I've also been having serious headache since and this has been on for over a week now. I talked to the girl, she said she had her HIV test and other tests not too long ago and they're negative. I googled some of my symptoms and they suggested herpes but I'm not too certain about that.
Why I became worried is the fact that, a fresh sore is about to start at the other side of my mouth and the rashes around my pubic region is now dry and somehow looking whitish. I don't even know what to think again, I'm confused and I regret a lot. What surprises me is the fact that, I've been having unprotected s*x with her since January and these things are only beginning to show now. I dunno if these are just allergies or infections. It happened since 2015 when i was admitted in a teaching hospital(doctors told me that my problem was typhoid) and treated for months. When i was about to discharged, i noticed that one of my ears was not functional which i complained immediately to the docs there told me that my condition was critical and was consequently administered hard drugs which is clearly the cause of my partial deafness and was given an appointment in 2weeks time to follow up about the new ailment. I came back home using only one ear.
After about 5days at home, i enter okada to the use an atm in town, upon reaching the bank, i joined the atm line to made my withdrawal, it was there that an old friend started talking to me that i discovered that both my ears were not functional.
