I am from akwa.ibom myself.

The economy controls the politics and the politics control the economy. It would be an error by their thinking to let some state grow independently econic wise. It's too much risk for them.

Do read up about FG's "Exclusive List" and know how things are done. Short summary: the FG controls facilities like airport, seaport, electricity generation etc.
Without FG's permission, no state (or, according to you, region) is allowed to to build any of those things. The Kaduna port you mentioned, did you think El-Rufai just built it without Buhari's say so?
