PoliticsRe: Google Lauches Free Wi-fi In Abuja As Osinbajo Says 'it's A Promise Kept' by docadams: 12:36pm On Dec 09, 2018
socialmediaman:
Nice one! I know Osinbajo will claim glory for a project in the works since 2012 which is on going all over the world by Google and Facebook.

Google has facilitated the upgrade of WiFi speed and hot spot access to millions of people all over word, same being planned by Facebook for developing countries. These companies want more people to access the internet so more people can use their services.
Very soon and very soon you will know the effects of struggling against a tide instead of. flowing with it

It is optional to marry more than one wife, it is not a a must.
Having more wives have it's own responsibilities which one has to be careful of.
Agreed. But it takes a will of steel to practise such belief. We mean one wife devoid of any sideshows for life

PoliticsRe: Electoral Act: NASS Plans To Override President Buhari This Week - Sen Olujimi by docadams:
All huff and puff but no motion.. If mustering 2/3 majority in this polarised NASS were that easy Saraki and Dogara would have long been sacked.
Saraki will be circumspect initiating a move to override prrsidential veto. Such exercise is also an indirect referendum on the leadership of the NASS. Saraki won't initiate such move if he ain't absolutely sure of getting a 2/3 majority. If he goes ahead and looses, his position as NASS leader will be weakened. This and other reasons are why the NASS rarely dares the presidency with overriding presidential veto.

PoliticsRe: Opinion: Why Pdp's Suddenly Distaste For The Electoral Laws They Used? by docadams: 5:07pm On Dec 08, 2018
socialmediaman:
You have your answer right there, the telecom industry. FG no longer budgets billions of dollars each year to provide telephone and mobile services to Nigerians, they’re rather making the billions in revenue from taxes.

FG cannot run a successful business in Nigeria, that’s more than enough reason to privatize.

The masses here have all to gain from this. It’s difficult to accept but that’s the way forward in my opinion.
You are entitled to hope for an Atiku presidency. Hope it shall remain.

PoliticsRe: Opinion: Why Pdp's Suddenly Distaste For The Electoral Laws They Used? by docadams: 4:44pm On Dec 08, 2018
socialmediaman:
The bolded sounds to me like someone cut their losses after realizing their mistakes. That’s also part of leadership. Some of the things we hold on to as precious may not be worth a penny when they come to the open market, that’s probably how much NNPC would be worth in the near future when crude oil possibly becomes irrelevant.

OBJ wanted to sell off the refineries at some point to Dangote for over $500 Million or so, but Yaradua intervened, how much were they later worth?

Maybe you could elaborate more on what is being sorted out since I heard we’re still making undisclosed subsidy payments and NNPC is still as corrupt as the Nigeria Police
Nobody is against privatization in the true sense of it. At the same time you can't bandy around the mantra that govt cannot run a business successfully as your reason for privatizing. The privatization under Atiku's watch left much to be desired. So many enterprises were involved. Point to the ones that became viable enterprises afterwards

I understand your opinion, but we should allow a court of competent jurisdiction interpret the law when need be
No no no! You cannot deliberately mine a route meant for everybody leaving everyone at their own risk.
Why do we keep saying our constitution is faulty?
PoliticsRe: Opinion: Why Pdp's Suddenly Distaste For The Electoral Laws They Used? by docadams: 4:09pm On Dec 08, 2018
socialmediaman:
So the issue here is that you do not Trust Atiku Abubakar to sell it, no that it shouldn’t have been sold, Yes?
The outcome of a process matters. NITEL privatization was a national embarrassment as did many others. It was like the TAM of the refineries. Money was continually pumped into it in name of making it operational before privatization. At the end it was sold for far far less. Even the privatization process was enmeshed in protracted controversies. In addition, so much liabilities was incurred. Only now some of these liabilities are being sorted out. So with such a poor outcome one must question the intentions of those who midwifed the process
PoliticsRe: Opinion: Why Pdp's Suddenly Distaste For The Electoral Laws They Used? by docadams: 3:32pm On Dec 08, 2018
socialmediaman:
NITEL was sold because there was no use running it by government. Government does not need to be running NNPC, we have FMPR, NIPMS and DPR to regulate the oil industry

I just make my point, I don’t need to chide or insult anyone while doing it. If you’re up for intellectual debate, bring it on
Using NITEL as an example, one expects you to have all the facts at your fingertips. NITEL privatization was anathema to the ethics of privatization. It needed to be privatized but not in the manner it was done.

osax4pal:
How will you announce a result you did not count, at the polling center
That is the reason there should be no ambiguity. A simple omission not rectified now may cost a lot in human and material resources later on.
PoliticsRe: Flash! One Of The Fraudulent Insertions In The Electoral Bill Busted. by docadams:
Whoever expects anything good to come out of the PDP is on a long thing. The party is too inclined towards debauchery in everything they do. Nigerians are also becoming more aware to swallow anything from PDP stable without detoxification. Post 2019, PDP will undergo spontaneous degeneration. EVOLUTION doesn't favour it to still be alive.
PoliticsRe: Opinion: Why Pdp's Suddenly Distaste For The Electoral Laws They Used? by docadams: 2:26pm On Dec 08, 2018
socialmediaman:
[b*]You mean perpetual national assets liabilities like NITEL[/b] which revolutionized the telecom industry? Even Universities should be sold, FG should have no business running Universities and other businesses. They should focus on taxes, policies and wealth circulation
The bolded makes one contemplate the essence of having discussions with you lots of PDP conviction.. NITEL was never a clog to the wheel of privatization granted it was run poorly. After the licencing of private telecoms NITEL was still existing. In fact NITEL was also granted a GSM licence but was doomed to fail from the outset because of undue interference from same politicians who midwifed its emergence.
So, Atiku cannot be separated from NITEL demise.
PoliticsRe: Dualization Of Sapele - Ewu Road, Section I: Sapele - Agbor Road,Delta State. by docadams:
This is very commendable of PMB led FG. Previous govts either by omission or commission allowed the communities linked by this road to degenerate below those in Sambissa forest. All sorts of vices are prevalent. Surprisingly, the area is home to the most fertile soil in Delta and Edo states, thus the prevalence of farming, profit/food crops The axis is also home to many higher institutions..
How I wished the Eku-Warri road which is an artery of the Sapele-Agbor segment was included. Nothing wrong in being an Oliver Twist

PoliticsRe: Why Buhari Might Jail Tinubu If He Wins - Odilim Enwegbara by docadams:
I forced myself to read everythiny as is my norm until I got to this point "it would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than Buhari to win the 2019 presidential election, especially given how world powers such the US, the UK, EU, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc., have all agreed that Buhari must go so that peace, unity and economic prosperity could return to Nigeria" I couldn't help but to conclude the writer must have inhaled laughing gas like Arsenal players

Paul Usoro's address to the NBA of which he chairs is in order.
If you are so comfortable with your stance why display inferiority complex.
