And where did they draw their inspiration from? The bible? NO!!!

Aristotle? YES!!! Aristotle Aristotle Aristotle all the way.
Go and read about Matthew Maury, the man who discovered ocean currents. He got the inspiration that led him to the discovery from Psa. 8:8 and Psa. 107:23-24.

You want to poke holes in science but your religion cannot do for mankind what science has done for mankind in the last 500 years.
Everybody on earth knows that the science that has made positive impact on the lives of people in this world has nothing to do with one-celled organisms becoming dinosaurs, and then man. Nor does it have anything to do with "nothing" suddenly expanding into "nothing" to bring about something.

But I note that you dodged many of my salient points

I'll repeat my point in condensed form, as a question.

Why do you (and your ilk) feel the need to claim Scientific Authority?
We don't feel the need to claim "Scientific Authority" per se. We feel the need to poke holes in the pseudoscience based on unfounded assumptions being hawked around as science.

I'm instead talking about the conflict between a body of people who follow a certain methodology called the scientific method and who present ideas to each other for scrutiny , versus another body of people who are pushing a religious agenda and have been found in a court of law to be mendacious and prone to manipulating data to serve their ends.
AiG scientists follow the scientific method. Moreover, people in the latter group also ignore, distort, and even discard data that negate their dogmas such as that of billions of years.

By calling an idea scientific they blatantly seek to give themselves the prestige that has been gained by scientists such as are members of the Royal Society, individuals like Sir Isaac Newton etc, over the course of centuries.
You know that Isaac Newton did not believe in the dogma of billions of years promoted by your "scientists" today?

I asked about Science Journals. Anybody can publish something and invite his friends/peers to come and review.

For example is it a Journal referenced by the members of the Royal Society. https://royalsociety.org/
ARJ not scientific enough? Nobody cares.

There is no particular person or group of persons that has to sanction an idea before it is accepted as truth.

Of course 'rebuttals' can go back and forth till the day of judgment, but I think the crux of Ken Ham, or is it Dan Arel is here:

A rebuttal to end all rebuttals would be to simple provide the real scientific journal in which their discoveries were presented and the acceptance of the scientific community.
AiG publishes its findings in Answers Research Journal(ARJ), a professional peer-reviewed journal.

PASTORAIO, compare Dan Arel's poor attempt at producing a rebuttal to the full content of Ken Ham's "The 10 Best Evidences from Science that Confirm a Young Earth" found in the link below:

Dan Arel was dishonest in picking only the first few sentences in each of the points contained in Ken Ham's piece. Of course all his "rebuttals" were equally rebutted in the "Rescuing devices" section of each point made in Ken Ham's piece.

"Big bang is an explosion"

"Big Bang is an atheistic claim"
I think you're the one who learnt something from me today. I'm very happy that from today on, I will never see you ignorantly claim that the formation of stars and planets are fully explained.

No, no, you don't need to thank me. It's my duty to educate "freethinkers".

The difference between a Scientist and a creationist is that a scientist creates theories through observations to support facts, while a creationist bend facts through mental gymnastics and speculations to support theories
I know it's so painful seeing me cherrypick the bias in your allegory.

The onus is on you to prove how Christians bend facts to support theories.

lol, come on, you can do more than that.

It's very obvious that Dean and Sean met the corpse lying there AT THE SAME TIME! And everything Sean said were just CLEARLY speculations! Damn!
What if Sean goes about with an electronic device on his right ear through which he receives update on the truth about everything that happens from someone who monitors and knows everything, and so always says the truth, such that all the statements he(Sean) has made in the past has been tested and proven to be true? Would Dean be right to say "you don't know too"?

Dean and Sean were walking down a street and saw a dead man lying there, they just stood and looked at the lying corpse, then came someone who asked them "how did this man die"?..

Dean answered "I don't know, I just saw the corpse here", then Sean interrupted "no, I think I know, he was involved in a cult clash, he was open fired on and the cultists who killed him were all wearing red clothes, they drove him in their Grey SUV and dropped his body here, then they drove off"...

Now Between Sean and Dean, who is the idiot?
Dean would have appeared totally unserious if he replied "you are totally wrong." For what it's worth, Dean appeared reasonable because he stopped at "I don't know", and didn't go further to say "you don't know too".

Now, what if it had been known to Dean that Sean always speaks the truth?

nope, maybe I overrated your intelligence, you don't even know who a scientist is, why won't you assume big bang is an explosion?
it all seems clearer now that you're just regurgitating things you have no idea about

the theory is not atheistic, its SCIENTIFIC but since you don't know what makes one a scientist how would you know a scientific claim?

atheists have been existing before the big bang was postulated

and it was first postulated by Georges Lemaître, a Belgian physicist and ROMAN CATHOLIC PRIEST even the pope at the time wanted to make it part of church doctrine as "proof of God"

what connects Big bang and atheismhuh

maybe Roman Catholic is an "atheistic" organisation
Who cares who postulated the BB theory? It is not in consonance with the revealed truth in the Bible. Therefore it is not Christian. Of course there are only two groups of people: Christians and GOD-haters.

Because the Bible is always true.

there's no "explosion", like I said take the time to read about science from scientists
big bang was never an atheistic claim
Who is a scientist? Any one who claims that GOD does not exist?

Are you trying to distance yourself from the Big Bang Theory? Is the theory Christian, if it is not atheistic?

Keep deceiving yourself. One moment you claim everything about the universe is fully explained by a theory. The next, you shrink from such a theory if criticism is poured on it.

It's funny seeing you claim that the formation of stars and planets are fully understood. Goes to show how knowledgeable you are. Let me mercifully give you a hint: read up the "meter size barrier".

Christianity Etc › Re: Atheists Are More Intelligent ‘because They Overcome The Instinct Of Religion' by DoctorAlien(m): 12:51pm On May 20, 2017
Atheists are very intelligent.

One group believes that space, time and matter came into existence from a singularity which exploded 13.8 billion years ago(into who knows where).

Another group believes that the universe has always been here, despite the fact that the one of the most foundational laws of science, the 2nd law of thermodynamics, proves otherwise. Under this group is a subgroup that believes that many universes exist. How anyone can believe that, given the definition of the word "universe", is a mystery.

Yet another ignorant group is proud and shameless enough to have the statement "I don't know" as their motto, while concluding that every other explanation that is against what they chose to believe is totally false. You now begin to wonder how they came to know that GOD does not exist, when, in fact, they know nothing, as their motto "I don't know" reveals.

All in all, atheists are very intelligent. Once you utter the statement "GOD does not exist", you're automatically intelligent.

These armchair atheists are at it again.

Spacetacular, you don't have to provide too much information about yourself just to prove a point to these "freethinkers"(which their bigoted minds would still not accept even if proven). An example is that one asking where you did your F1 and F2.

You don't even have to provide any information about yourself. That is not necessary. Speaking verifiable truths alone is enough to prove your genuineness. There is no depth too low for these "freethinkers" to descend in a bid to fight the truth staring them in the face. They are known for leaving the argument ground wounded and beaten to a pulp, only to come back with attacks on the person based on the information they have about him/her.

Romans 1:20-32(KJV) aptly describes them.

Do you have any idea how your earliest fossils were dated? Are you aware of the ridiculous assumptions that form the bases of those misleading dating methods?

Contending scientific facts, with biblical craps, is the deepest descent into delusion.
No. Swallowing the lies churned out by fake scientists is the greatest descent into delusion. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy is understanding.

GOD's plan from the beginning was not for deformed babies to be born. The holy pair in Eden were created perfect, and their genetic makeup bore no mutations. Then came sin with its heavy loads of curses. Humanity has been degraded by sin and sinful living for 6000 years, each generation being more infirm than the one preceding it. This is contrary to the false claim of evolution that human beings become stronger and more fit as the years go by. Man today is but a joke compared to Adam. Death, disease, disasters, calamities, deformities and even the foul miasma that now taints the air are all the results of sin.

So, OP, GOD did not plan for the baby to be born that way. GOD's plan is for us to prosper and be in good health, even as our souls prosper(3 Jn. 1:2). It is a thing of joy that the doctors successfully performed operation on the baby to make life easier for it, because even the knowledge which the doctors possess came from GOD.

The immortal-soul concept isn't part of the Old Testament, but it began to make in roads into Jewish thought as Jews came in contact with Greek culture. In the first century the Jewish philosopher Philo taught a Platonic concept: “… The death of a man is the separation of his soul from his body …” ( The Works of Philo, translated by C.D. Yonge, 1993, p. 37). Philo followed the Hellenistic view that the soul is freed upon death to an everlasting life of virtue or evil.

The Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible makes this comment on nephesh: “The word 'soul' in English, though it has to some extent naturalized the Hebrew idiom, frequently carries with it overtones, ultimately coming from philosophical Greek (Platonism) and from Orphism and Gnosticism which are absent in 'nephesh.' In the OT itnever means the immortal soul, but it is essentially the life principle, or the living being, or the self as the subject of appetite, and emotion, occasionally of volition” (Vol. 4, 1962, “Soul,” emphasis added). That nephesh doesn't refer to an immortal soul can be seen in the way the word is used in the Old Testament. It is translated “soul” or “being” in reference to man inGenesis 2:7, but also to animals by being translated “creature” inGenesis 1:24.Nephesh is translated “body” in Leviticus 21:11 in reference to a human corpse.

The Hebrew word translated “soul” in the Old Testament is nephesh, which simply means “a breathing creature.”Vine's Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words defines nephesh as “the essence of life, the act of breathing, taking breath … The problem with the English term 'soul' is that no actual equivalent of the term or the idea behind it is represented in the Hebrew language. The Hebrew system of thought doesnot include the combination oropposition of the 'body' and 'soul' which are really Greek and Latin in origin” (1985, p. 237-238, emphasis added).

ARE YOU STILL DENYING THAT AMONG THE MEANINGS OF SOUL, IT ALSO REFERS TO THE INNER BEING IN MAN?
The concordance is not inspired and I refuse to accept its teaching which negates GOD's own.

According to GOD, LIVING SOUL = BODY + BREATH OF LIFE(Gen. 2:7).

That soul is his essence, or his being, not some entity that flies out at death.

We know that Isaiah 26:9 was talking about the being of the person, or his essence.

Oga, does your own version of soul which you say exists within you be hungry for food, or have appetite? Can it bought with money by your fellow man?

You can see that Job is not talking about a conscious entity within his body which probably flies out after death.
