The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Niger Governor Babangida Aliyu and his Jigawa counterpart Sule Lamido of getting stuck in the pre-election mode, urging them to wake up to the reality that electioneering campaign is over and it is time for nation
building.
In a statement issued in Lagos on Saturday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party described the duo’s unprovoked vituperation (which they couched as a piece of advice) against the APC and the President-elect as uncouth, ill-intentioned and in bad faith.
”Nigerians have switched from pre-election to post-election mode, making the unsolicited advice and the rehash of the vitriolic electioneering campaign rhetoric from the two governors totally out of tune with reality.
”Our commitment to Nigeria is sacrosanct, irrespective of the state of the economy, hence we do not need any cheeky advice from Governors Aliyu and Lamido. We are not making any excuses, but we will let Nigerians and indeed the world know how much the economy has been wrecked and the role of anyone in bringing the economy to its knees,” it said.
APC said the two Governors’ historical revisionism has been beclouded by the trauma they suffered – and are still suffering – from the shellacking they received during the elections, hence they have forgotten even the role they played in seeking to scuttle the change that Nigerians so much desired and for which they voted.
”Governors Aliyu and Lamido are so bitter and traumatized that they have forgotten it was their party, the PDP, that divided Nigeria along its ethnic, religious and regional fault lines. They have forgotten that it was their party that cleaned out the commonwealth in its desperation to win at all cost, at a stage shunning the Naira for US dollars and helping to crash the value of the local currency.
”Governors Aliyu and Lamido are also imagining where they would have been now, had they not betrayed the G7 of which they were original members, seeing the group up to the starting line but cunningly refusing to take off when the race was flagged off. They made a wrong choice and lost out, and they must live with the consequences of their
choice, instead of continuing to snipe at some imaginary enemies
”The chance to be part of a historic opportunity to rebuild Nigeria was offered to the two Governors on a platter of gold, but they chose to put their personal interests above the national interest. The fate
they have now suffered is a direct consequence of their
shortsightedness and selfishness, and they must accept the full blame for that,” the party said.
It assured Nigerians that the APC will redeem its campaign promises, irrespective of the parlous state of the economy, saying however that the change that Nigerians have voted for will not come overnight but through a gradual, painstaking and consistent acts of good governance,
discipline and perseverance.
”We are therefore calling on our compatriots to give their unalloyed support to the incoming Administration as it embarks on charting a new path for the long-suffering nation, while shunning the naysayers who, in their own time, frittered away the opportunity to rebuild Nigeria,” APC said.

The guys is quite very dull and must think Nigerians are fools. He is talking about late accreditation and logistics issues in the SE as pre-planned as if majority of INEC staff in those places are not Igbos. Because INEC chair is now a Northerner, is it only hausas that work in INEC? All the people that distributed PVCs in the SE and SS are they all hausa/fulani??

Imagine him talking about PVC collection in Nigeria skewed to the advantage of the North, he then showed an example that ironically disproves is point. From what he put up there as regards Kano and the SE, Kano still has more uncollected PVCs than the SE.

The old man that cannot use his head kept on using the 2011 elections as a yard stick and baseline for his analysis as if the 2011 election result was a perfection. The man is shamelessly economical with the truth. The SE and SS votes were seriously manipulated in 2011 majorly because Buhari's CPC had no spread and the financial capabilities to monitor and secure the SE and SS then. That has changed now due to the spread of the APC and also due to the usage of the card readers.

This AribiLiar will soon see how wrong he was when the tribunal starts overturning some of the PDP senatorial victories and ordering a rerun in states like Rivers, Imo, Akwa Ibom, Enugu, Abia and Edo.

In Edo, PDP led APC with just about 80,000 votes. Elections were cancelled in about 4 local govts in APC stronghold with a voting strength of about 160,000 people. If the elections was fair to the letter, APC would have won Edo state.

This silly man somehow applauded the charade called election in Rivers state claiming that was how it has always been! What a shame. Yet, he is claiming INEC technically rigged the elections for the APC in the North. He acknowledged that the North maintained it's voting pattern and population but is claiming that of the SE was seriously reduced based on 2011 figures. If he wants to do a thorough job, why not give us the 2007 SE figures? So that we can compare the 2007, 2011 and 2015 turnout for the SE in order to establish the one that has an unreasonable variation. From his myopic view, the 2011 is perfect and should be used as a yardstick.

This propagandist that claimed he is not being paid, purposely mentioned that Jega tried to create additional polling units in the North to confuse some emotional and sentimental readers. He purposely mentioned it and then later chipped in quietly that Jega abandoned it due to public outcry.

Initially i supported APC but carefully looked at their way of life i discover that they are old thieves trying to wear new clothes i decamped to PDP at least i know what they have done afterall Northerners have ruled for more than 30 yrs including Buhari but nothing drastically changed

The NDLEA officials know they sell drugs there and that is how it is throughout the whole nation, not even drug bunks and even our pharmacies. They have a share in the drug investment. It's not new to me because these officials also collect returns from weed planters in my village. Hard drug is extremely legal in Nigeria
