this is one mistake i always try to make pple avoid(am an architecture student.)...different rooms cause more harm than good(for a couple)

Iyfe Namikaze: if you were anything but experienced then you wouldn't have wrote this.
if Your dogs are fighting, you can separate them by grabbing both of them at the back of their neck, separate them and make sure they are face in opposite sides... dogs understand barks,so while you are doing the separation, use loud and strong words on them. this will make them know that you are in charge and that you do not allow such behaviour.

the person u quoted is actually right...water is like the safest way to end a dogfight....without harming urself or the dogs

dayokanu: Nigerians are just bullies imagine a boy maybe struggling with his GPA in school telling a 4yr old girl she is not smart

Greatgod aka OluwaTobi I want to say you dissapointed me small wink wink wink.

Na that kain oponu BIL me I dey like. Being the sharp mouthed Yoruba person I am I would so yab that BIL that he would almost commit suicide

You for first ask him for his WAEC result, and his GPA in school. and bring your daughters school grades. I am certain your daughter was doing better in her school than the dunderhead BIL. Ask him why upon his "sharpness he isnt the best student in MIT, Oxford or even UNILAG or Ife? despite all the money the family has invested on his education?

That everyone has been shy to tell him that he is the dullest person in the whole family and there is a theory that he might have been switched at birth cos his dullness in unmatched in the family tree. In advanced countries he would have been categorized as a reetardd or "Children with Special needs"

Its mostly ppl who cant match their peers that pick on perceived inferior people.

I wont be surprised if the BIL is on academic probation in his school. Nonsense

Phema: Every one, please I need your take on this. . .

I really don't like this idea of guests buying gifts for the couple cos to be candid, most of these gifts are usually what the couple already have or what they might not need in decades! Ranges from cutlery to general cooking utensils, to basic household utilities. These items end up causing more harm than good With the newly wedded couple looking for space to store them. Heck! My mum's own is still locked up somewhere and she hasn't used one tenth of it.

Now, we were just thinking. . . Is there a way one can add a "cash only" caption in the IV? Something like; "You do not have to come with gifts, but if you must, please make it cash only" grin

Will that be too blunt, rude or desperate? cheesy
. ..

My parents got an IV for a wedding dat said...."please all gifts should b made in form of cash...." or sumfn like dat....buh i was told its because d couples live abroad....my 2 cents

thanks for the correction, i knew it didnt sound right, but i was typing in a hurry and didnt doublecheck.

if i'd posted a screen shot, i'd have caught it.

nice movie but somehow i think it could have had more depth. "How bad can it be" was good though.

also, it seems the little boy's mum and grandmum are black. I wouldnt be surprised if the once-ler was mixed as well at some point.

the book was ok, still mysterious but a rather interesting read.

and how did you know about the movie btw.

Religion / Re: PARENTS: You need to respect your children too! by doeying(m): 10:34am On May 13, 2013
striktlymi: Good morning 2buff,

Quite unlike your experience, I have listened to a number of sermons about the need for parents to respect their Children just like the kids have a duty of honouring their parents...

I believe your concerns are well founded and it is quite sad that some parents are so domineering that it becomes impossible for the child to grow up...you see adults who are married still depend on their parents to help them make simple decisions they and their partners could have made...it is indeed sad!

You say parents should respect their adult children but I take that one step further and say that parents are meant to accord respect to every child of theirs (whether adult or not)...their rights should be respected and the sooner they allow them learn how to take responsibilities and get involved in decision making from their 'earlier years' the better it will be for both them and that child.

seriously speaking...i so agree to dis...i am a teenager(19) nd i keep explaining to them dat i need my space..buh they keep disturbing....am nt saying dey shld leave me alone totally but at least dey shld respect that ..at this age..i need my privacy...(my dad still comes into the bathroom while i am having my bath)...its just wrong
