There is a fine line to thread here even though a stupid one. Imagine this scenario. Government approves money for the states Emergency response unit just like it does every year. The agency then gives contract for supply of thousands of units of food items and welfare kits. Those items that aren't meant for long term storage, get out in warehouses waiting for the day tragedy strikes and the governor says the items be distributed. Of course that year or even more may pass without any natural disaster happening. Meanwhile items are still in the government storehouse. With every new budget, more are added.

So when disaster hits and the governor orders that aid be provided to people in need, the agents of the state dust off the warehouse and bring out items that have long expired. The items weren't expired when bought. They just expired in storage.

The governor doesn't care. No one does. The governor gets his photo-op, the workers get to feel important for a while and everyone buggers off. The victims are left on their own after that.

Because that family has totally gone dark. Nothing about them exists online outside the news that they gave birth to a white child. Even on Facebook, neither the man nor his wife have a page.

Type the name "Ben Ihegboro" in google search image ànd check the boy is grown now and the couple may have don a DNA test to check if the man is the biological baby father.

There is no such image online. That picture you saw is of a different family entirely.

For all the splash this story made worldwide, this family seems to have no digital presence currently. Not the man, not his wife and certainly not the girl who should be 15 now. Is there a dark truth they are ashamed to talk about?

A black woman coming from a long chain of black women suddenly gaves birth to a white child and they say it is a rare genetic mutation? The mutation didn't turn the child chinese or Indian but it turned the child white which happens to be the skin colour of indigenes of the country that family migrated to. I laugh! Where in the world has a white woman ever given birth to a black child as a result of random genetic mutation?

With how everyone wants to monetize their page on Facebook now, a family that has been in London for over 20 years, with such a 'rare' and 'unique' child, will be all over social media raking views, clicks and money. There is none of that here. You can't find anything on this family online outside rehashed stories passed from blog to blog 15 years ago.

To be objective in analysis, infrastructure wise, the APC has performed exceptionally. I am no means a Tinubu supporter but at the same time I won't allow my dislike for the man blind me.
Projects that for decades were just campaign promises under the PDP have been executed or being currently worked on by the APC. I know for a fact that the second Niger bridge was something Jonathan promised the South east to execute in 2011 but ignored after he won election. Buhari made sure that project was fully executed. David Mark should have no business in national politics anymore seeing that the road to his home town Otukpo, remained terribly unpassable for the decades he was in the senate. 8 of those years as senate president. That road is being dualized now.

Unfortunately though, the foreign loans APC always rushes to collect and the unwillingness of the party to apply human face to its policies, has led to hunger ravaging the land.

People have to eat first before they can use infrastructure. And this is were the APC has failed.
