Tarriffs stifle demand across all chains of production. With reduced demand comes slowing down of the economy and rise in unemployment levels. Economic depression can result from arbitrary tarrif applications as we see Trump doing here.

The last time this utterly insane blanket tarriffs was done was in 1930. The Smoot–Hawley Tariff Act, passed in the US, caused the worst global economic depression in human history. Trump is too stupid to understand the cascading and boomeranging effects of what he just did.

In all this, the winner is China as more countries will seek to improve relations with them. The world cannot keep tolerating American bullying for long.

You know, the friendship between Dangote and Otedola is very interesting. Otedola made his money from being a sole distributor of diesel at some point. Dangote, through his refinery, wants to make importation of all crude oil derivatives a thing of the past. This puts a major dent in his friends business. I really don't know if Forte oil has oil wells. Whatever it is, Femi really isn't sweating obviously.

He is chairman of Geregu Power Plc and holds substantial stakes in FBN holdings and Zenith bank. Dude is worth 1.5 billion dollars. He has long sold his shares in Forte oil and relies primarily on passive income his investment holdings bring him.

I once did a Lagos to Dubai on an A380. It was such a delight to be on that flight. It has stairs leading to the upper deck for the Business and First-class travelers. The in-flight experience was superb.

Liar! A380 can't land in any commercial airport in Nigeria. We don't have runways long enough yet.

Here's a fun fact. No airport in Nigeria is rated large enough for this plane to land in. The runway length this plane needs to take off in is simply crazy. The Nigerian airforce Tactical Air Command in Makurdi, which has the longest runway in West Africa, may be sufficient enough for the A-380 to take off and land in. This plane is a marvel to behold.

What Israel is doing is worse than whatever Nazi Germany did. Israel is carrying out a forced policy of deliberate starvation of Palestinians in Gaza. Children are shot to death while struggling to get food. Medical workers are bombed as they try to reach the injured. What is happening in Gaza is the most heinous genocide this century.

Not only that, Donald Trump has given an order to destroy 500,000 tonnes of food and medicine meant to feed the desperate poor in countries across Africa and the middle east. This is food that has already been paid for.

That's nothing but the truth. We are a very wicked people. What justifiable reason can be presented why local rice became more expensive than foreign rice? Greed! Overnight farmers/middle men were buying up produce in huge quantities and storing them up so as to sell during off seasons.

There are business models that exist in Nigeria that don't exist in any other country or the world. Why buy produce just to hoard? Just to remove produce from the supply chain so as to bring about increase in prices? That's wickedness.
