2. ORIGINAL STEREOMAN (SAMPLE EKWE)

Niger-Delta born jungle musician, Sunday Osakuni
otherwise known as Original Stereoman Ekwe is a
dance hall artiste and one-time hit-maker groomed
in Ajegunle, a high density suburb in the heart of
Lagos. At a time when local street-pop and the
galala dance dominated the music scene, Sample
Ekwe held sway on the streets, at every garage,
joint or locale who celebrated true African-ness.
Children and even adults would mimic dance
patterns while the song caused a raucous around
town. We heard Ekwe was geared up for the
release of more singles and an album but the last
we heard, was when he was let off charges levied
against him over the murder of his baby mama.

he never recovered from that shock

Politics / Re: No Bomb Blast Since After APC Victory In Osun State - DSS Spokesperson by Dogzimalon: 4:44am On Aug 15, 2014
Sincere9gerian: I love the DSS spokesperson. Lai Muhammed met his match in the DSS spokesperson. Lai Muhammed started attacking the DSS for no just cause but I'm sure he has gotten more for himself and his party than he bargained for. Next time, Lair Muhammed should be able to tame his leaky mouth. He is not the only Nigerian that can speak good English or make INSINUATIONS.

The DSS spokesperson was only defending the good work the DSS has been doing for our country. Politicians should leave the DSS out of their dirty politics.

Meanwhile, after the APC lost the Anambra election, they called for the sack of Prof Jega and disbandment of INEC. That same Prof Jega and INEC has now declared APC the winner in Osun. I wonder what becomes of all the allegations APC made against INEC and Prof Jega after the Anambra election, allegations the party could not substantiate in any court of law till date?

It would appear that APC seeks to destroy every public institution in Nigeria because of insatiable selfish political ambitions of a few cabal. APC leaders are power drunk and everything about the party is disgusting.

My Brother u are dead right.all this APC people on Naira Land are bunch of irresponsible jokers, what was Lie Mohammed doing there at that unGodly Hour if not to help plant seed of discord in that state so that if they loose problem will start,as for me APC is Boko and Boko is APC.

Car Talk / Re: 71% Federal Roads Now Motorable – FG by Dogzimalon: 8:41pm On Jul 03, 2014

The Federal Government on Thursday said over 71 per cent of federal roads in Nigeria are currently in good condition and are motorable.

It said a total of N1.469tr had been spent on federal roads across the six geopolitical zones in the country since 2011.

The Minister of Works, Mr. Mike Onolememen, stated that from about 5,000km of fair roads in 2011, Nigeria currently has about 25,000km of the 35,000km of federal roads in good and motorable condition.

Onolememen, in a statement from the Federal Ministry of Works, said the present administration inherited federal roads which were generally described as “death traps,” as many road projects were either abandoned or moving at snail speed due to paucity of funds.

According to him, some roads alignments in Nigeria presently, can compete favorably with roads in the developed parts of the world.

He added that throughout the six geo-political zones, travel times had reduced between origins and destinations, cost of vehicle maintenance had drastically reduced, while accidents and carnage on Nigerian roads had dropped due to better pavement design and construction.

Onolememen said economic goods were better distributed through the nation’s arterial roads with better turn-around times that lead to more profits for entrepreneurs.

The minister said the ministry was currently executing 184 contracts across the country, majority of which were inherited by the present administration.

He stated that progress had been made with the rehabilitation, construction and expansion of key arterial projects.

Onolememen outlined some of the challenges faced by his ministry since assumption of duty to include the insurgency in the North-East, excess axle load of trucks beyond acceptable tonnage on highways and indiscriminate cutting across the highways.

Others include burning of tyres on the roads, erection of bumps on roads, destruction of road furniture as well as encroachment on right of ways.

The statement noted that 30 road projects with total length of 1255.1km, worth N275.6bn, had been executed in the North-Central zone.

It said 27 projects with a length of 1287.7km and total cost of N319.1bn were executed in the North-East, while the North-West had 20 projects, 1040.2km long, and worth N157.1m.

The South-East, South-South and South-West, according to the statement, had 45, 32 and 30 road projects executed in the zones respectively.

It noted that with the advent of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme, the government recorded remarkable progress in 2013 on the dualisation of four key arterial roads across the country.

Travelista: You've created expectations with this family that could become more extravagant as time goes on; SLOW DOWN!!! You have the girl's parents and brothers in addition to the girl herself: can you really support all of these people AND build a life for you and your chick AND have a life you enjoy? I dated a man that came from a poor family and no matter how much we loved each other, the financial demands and emotional blackmail from his family took its toll on our relationship and I walked. I felt callous due to our feelings for one another and because he would struggle under the burden of taking care of so many people by himself but after a while, you realize that once you start doling out cash, you will have to continue. Or face being called everything but a child of God. Think long and hard because while love is necessary, it isn't enough to sustain a relationship.

the way I want to go about it will eliminate these important issues you raised

I understand your fears but the rent I talked about will be paid full by me then the subsequent ones will will be paid by them with me doing half of it so no worries and I will also support her mums business so that she can be self reliant .thats my plan guys

Nonso23: Good men still exist. Ladies take note.

Honest/non-materialistic ladies still exist. Men take note.

But players and gold diggers are the most abundant in both genders respectively. Everybody, shine your eyes!

Your mother is just being careful she'll learn to live with your choice later on. Like someone rightly said and I want to re-emphasize: Please don't make yourself look like a meal ticket to them. As much as they are grateful there still exists that tendency for them to recline and demand (through their daughter) for certain things they believe are their entitlements because you are their in law. It's purely human nature, think of it as being a buffer. It's going to be tricky but endeavor to strike that balance early.

You are a good man and an intelligent one too.

You are right i like that advice that i should make them self reliance i will move them but will strike the balance by making them partake in the payment of the rent and secondly i want to support her mum in her business so to make them self reliance. You guys are the best. There is nothing like good advice this advice will go a long way in helping me to thow the right part

Nuzo':
I don't think you need any other advice cos you've taken the right step by relocating the girl's family to a better place and helping out in your own way. Just don't over do it, at least for now.

If you feel the girl in question truly love you, then politely encourage your mom to see reasons why it's far more important to marry a poor lady who genuinely love and respect you than ending up with a good for nothing chic just to match your social and financial status.

You should however understand your mom's fears. No mother would want a gold digger on their son.

You are definitely right do u know for the past 3 years ive dated her ive not spent more than 100 k on her
