Hi Ajet, good morning. I hope preparation has been good?

Concerning the forthcoming Post-UTME, I'll just advise all candidates to prepare very hard to scale the hurdle one more time. Obviously, the game has changed. The PUTME questions are usually like those you did in the UTME.

I don't know if there is a real UI Post-UTME past question texbook.

It is just unfortunate how this government take Nigerians for fools. So unfortunate. That man spent over 3 months in the UK, so, his office could not be renovated all that while? It is now when he got back renovation is being done. How does this add up please? I'll believe Sahara Reporters on this; Buhari is working from home simply because of his health and the secrecy around it.

Hello Oluwainnie,

I'm afraid some schools will never consider any candidate with a UTME score that is less than 200 for admission. I know University of Ibadan is among.

I'll personally suggest you change institution. Many state universities and even some federal universities accept UTME score of 180 and above.

But if it is UI or nothing, then, you may need to wait for next year's admission. I wish you God's best in whatever path you choose to eventually tread.

As regards recommended textbooks, here are my suggestions. But before I reel them out, know and understand VERY WELL that attending classes, your notes and available slides are the best tools you need mostly. Please note that very well.

CHE156
- Fundamental Physical Chemistry (Edited by Iweibo I., Okonjo K. & Obi-Egbedi N.)

PHY102 & PHY103
- Mechanics and Properties of Matter (by Idowu Farai)
- College Physics
- First Year University Physics, Volume 1 & 2 (both written by O. Ajaja & H. B. Olaniyi)

ZOO116
- Strictly your note

ZOO114
- I don't really have any textbook to recommend here because your note, slides and materials you can get online should be okay but some people use Campbell and Reece Biology textbook

GES107
- You will buy a textbook while doing your registration for this course. Trust me, that textbook is ALL you need, saving attending classes.

PS: All what I have written here are based on what is obtainable as at the 2016/2017 academic session.

For many of these courses, I have some slides and materials I can give that would definitely be of help. But that will surely be upon resumption.

I hope all these help. I can't wait to see you guys in UI!

DokitaDave:
Beautiful morning to you all.

I got your requests @holuwajobar and Ajet001

On a norm, I would have told you to exercise patience since you guys (the UI 2017/2018 freshmen) may not resume anytime earlier than late February or March, but I understand you can as well keep busy/whirl away time with getting prepared for the first year works.

For those that would come in for BDS & MBBS, there seems to be no too much work for the first semester of the first year.

You'll take the following courses:

CHE156 - Physical Chemistry 1
PHY102 - Introductory Mechanics and Properties of Matter
PHY103 - Introductory Heat and Thermodynamics
ZOO114 - Principles of Cell Biology and Genetics
ZOO116 - Introductory Invertebrate Zoology
GES107 - Reproductive Health: Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and Human immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)

Plus Chemistry, Physics and Zoology practicals.

For now, let me tell you the course content for CHE156, then maybe in some months time when you can assure me you are done dealing with EVERYTHING there, we may move on to others.

Topics in CHE156 include:
- Oxidation and Reduction/Electrochemistry
- Reaction Kinectics
- Atoms, Molecules and Intermolecular Forces
- Kinectics Theory
- Thermochemistry, Spontaneous Processes and Equilibria
- Acid, Base and Salts.

I hope this helps.

This is wrong, its not only intra college transfers that are allowed please. Transfer from faculty of science(mostly chemistry and maybe zoology) is possible. Also human nutrition can cross to MBBS after 100 level. Its very possible please.

Education / #FreeElujoba: OAU Students Force Judge To Reverse Remand Order by DokitaDave(m): 8:17pm On Jul 11, 2017
Students and workers of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) on Tuesday forced a judge at the Osun State High Court, Ede, Justice Oladimeji David, to reverse his earlier order remanding the ex -Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Anthony Elujoba, in Ilesha prison.

The reversal came after the students and workers protested the judge’s ruling and locked the courtroom.

They also prevented the judge and other officials from leaving the court premises.

This continued until the judge ordered that the former vice chancellor should be sent to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) custody as demanded by the protesting group.

Justice David also rescheduled the case from July 19 to July 14.

Members of the institution’s Non Academic Staff Union (NASU) were more vocal in their protest as one of its members broke an egg on the court’s exit to prevent the judge and others from leaving the courtroom when they heard that the ex-vice chancellor should be kept at Ilesha prison.

Some OAU students and workers also broke the court’s gate to forcefully remove Prof. Elujoba from the scene, but he refused to leave the place, saying “he will not go against the court order.”

Prof. Elujoba and the university’s bursar, Mrs. Josephine Akeredolu, are standing trial for alleged misappropriation of N1.4 billion.

:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
:15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
