gagzee:I am not sure if the process is thesame for all banks, but I know for GTB, you need a USD Domiciliary account to use your Dollar card. A sort of separate ledger is opened for that card, such that it is not directly linked to your Dom account. Whenever you want to transact with the card, you'll move funds to it from your Dom account. The card is best for those that earn in USD (bloggers, online marketers, international labour, e.t.c) because if you don't, you'll still have to resort to the abok.is to fund your Dom account. However, the beauty of your Dollar card is that you are not too limited in your transactions like you are when you use your Naira-denominated debit card. |
gidimasters:Jesus!!! N420/USD?? That's crazy and relatively too high. GTB charges N320 and Access Bank charges N325. I won't bother about the activation of the card for web payment anymore. I already contacted UBA to see if I can use its debit MasterCard for international transaction and the bank promised to get back to me this weekend. |
Obinnau:I don't know. I have not been able to use the card. |
I just mailed you. |
cmoney22222:Skrill accepts my Access Bank VISA card. |
gidimasters:Hello, which of the FCMB cards do you use for international online payment? I have a VISA card from FCMB but I am having issues activating it on the bank's ATM. It tells me 'Financial Institution Unavailable' each time I try to change my I-pin. I was also told the bank does not give a MasterCard anymore. |
This is Nigeria where anything goes. It's so unfortunate that none of the banks listed allow average Nigerians to make dollar transaction with their cards. Yet, they gain so much from BDC operations. |
Hello everyone. There is a new update on the school portal for fresh students. Kindly find attached.

UPDATE: 3:38am Friday, 27th January, 2017 Never underestimate the power of the pen; it can make or mar one. Access Bank eventually gave in to pressure, withdraws its earlier planned deductions after heavy criticisms from CMs. But can't our government and private organizations have common sense before the masses agitate their silly programmes and actions? God help us. Dear customer, please ignore the SMS sent to you yesterday on card issuance and annual maintenance fee. Error regretted. (From Access Bank) |

OPEN LETTER TO NYSC, ACCESS BANK AND CONCERNED CITIZENSSo unfortunate NYSC forced Corps members to use this bank. I ran a check on Access Bank website now and I suspect the account opened for Corps members would be 'Solo Savings Account'. But under the features of that type of account, maintenance fees do not apply, plus the bank has violated its conditions for this type of account. Features & BenefitsSo why is Access Bank milking poor otondos dry? |
When you see some so called graduates and their doings, you can't but help ask yourself if they really attended a tertiary institution. After all, if anything happens to this one (God forbid), everyone would start blaming NYSC. |
uboma:Anyways... You may be right. |
There was a day I sat down and surfed the internet to compare the interest rate of banks in Nigeria on fixed deposits, from the feedback I got then, Sterling bank seemed to be the highest with about 6.2% or thereabout. I could only come to a conclusion that this is one of the reasons money doubling ponzi schemes have thrived gloriously in the country. Some people prefer to risk their money for a higher out-of-reality yield rate than these silly bank rates. |
I just hope thesame scenario that played out in the last Ondo state gubernatorial election is not being formed for Ekiti state. Fayose needs to be smart here if he doesn't want to be killed politically. It is either he dumps PDP (alongside the Makarfi-led PDP) to float a new party or join one of the small parties around (e.g Labour Party, APGA and co), else the troubles in PDP may swallow him come next election. Mimiko is a living example. |
nwaanambra1:Yes. But monthly transaction is capped at $100. |
eraly:God bless you sir. That was all I came to check. Please, apart from Access Bank and GTB, do you know any other bank that allows its Naira denominated debit card to be used for international transaction? |

Hi kenonze, I dropped a mail for you. |
Hi everyone. For the newly admitted students who haven't been able to do the JAJA Clinic health registration, I want to inform you that the portal is now up again and the deadline for registration is 3 days from now. Goodluck!
|
This forum is getting worrisome for its unrelenting anti-MMM gospel. In all fairness, we have heard enough of the dangers associated with the Ponzi scheme. Anyone who 'invests' his/her money in the scheme now is doing that knowingly and knowledgeably, so please let the cry stop and let them be. Like the Yorubas will say "Eni a forolo toni tehunbaje, kini ki oloro o wa se?" Seun and his people, una wahala too much, abi Banks and governments have started to pay you to promote all these? |
Ebend:Hi, I was able to create an account on the Jaja Clinic website very early today. I was required to upload my passport before proceeding to fill the health questionnaire. I will have to check back to print my invitation schedule for the chest x-ray. Try and visit the website again, your inability to access it this morning may be due to a technical glitch. I also logged in again to my page some minutes ago. Goodluck! |
willjoe:Hello According to the recent update on UI's website, there will not be any other list. See the attached file.
|
Annibiteye:You're welcome. I am glad it worked. |
Hello, Compliment! You won't be able to install another Facebook Lite application on thesame android phone outrightly. If you try to, once you get to Google Playstore, you'll only see the "update" or "open" icon on that app. However, you can download an application called "Parallel Space" on Google Playstore. That application allows you to duplicate any android application on your phone without interference. With that app, you can have two Facebook applications, WhatsApp, and the rest. Goodluck. Merry Christmas and an amazing new year in waiting. |
mimsyjay15:Yes, you can. However, note that you must pass all relevant subjects in one sitting. Goodluck! |
5Realms:I am also thinking of getting the Infinix Note 3 Pro but I don't think it's in Nigeria yet. Some online tech websites put the expected cost between N70,000 and N75,000. |

But really, some Nigerians are naive. What's wrong with Saraki to have sent a birthday cake to Sani - his colleague in the upper chamber? The gift was from the Senate President and not the Senate. |
