Seeyat: Sorry i meant to type #150k Ok..try and reduce the number of days you intend to stay in the UK, it will help in reducing the budget for the trip too |

Seeyat: I appreciate your response, my monthly salary is 200k after tax and monthly disposable income is 50k Monthly disposable income is what you have left after your monthly expenses. If 50k is your monthly disposable income, visa won't be approved because it will take many months to accumulate the amount you intend to spend on the trip. You would have budgeted more than 2 times your monthly disposable income on a short trip which is red flag. I hope you understand |

Seeyat: I appreciate your response, my monthly salary is 200k after tax Your monthly disposable income is what you have left after your monthly expenses. Determine that amount and see what you have. The rule is not to spend more than twice your net pay or monthly disposable income on a short visa. Your best bet right now is to reduce the number of days you intend to stay in the UK so that your budget for the trip won't be way too higher than twice your net pay or monthly disposable income as the case maybe. You can state that you spend about 40k in a month and reduce the number of days for your trip to about 7 days and let's see what the budget would be. |

Seeyat: Good morning gurus in the house,
Please help me to examine my 10 days tourism to the UK
Hostel 10 days £108
Flight ticket £517
Feeding £140
Transportation £50
Up keep - £74
Total - £889 (#405,299) Oanda rate.
That's a little bit above 2 and half month salary after monthly expenditure.
Does it make sense? Abeg make una help me It boils down to how much you earn monthly after tax and probably pension(PFA). That's your net pay and what your monthly disposable income is. The amount is quite reasonable for a 10 day trip. You need to also state what you intend to do in the UK as it might lead to refusal if not stated. All the best. |

sheyn5: Thanks so Much for your response. Please do you have an idea of the minimum amount that I must posses in my bank statement before been considered?
Is it also mandatory I supply my source of income?
Thanks. Source of income is important. For instance, you can't just borrow money from people and put in your account or ask people to pay money into your account for visa purpose. It's called money lodgment. Every amount that comes into your account has to be accounted for. It's either u r self employed or u have a business. With papers to support whatever your claim may be. As for the minimum amount needed in your account, you have to state to what extent your uncle is ready to support you. If he is providing accommodation, feeding and other expenses within the UK. Then you will be needing money to cover your flight to and fro the UK, BTA in your account and also money for your upkeep when you return to 9ja. Cos they expect you to have some money to fall back on when you return. Indicate whatever support your uncle is willing to provide for u if it's different from is stated above. If that is stated, you can be advised further on what amount you might be needing. |

sheyn5: Good morning to everyone doing great jobs here. I'm a fresh graduate hoping to visit the UK on a visiting visa soon. My questions are as follows:
1)My uncle will be the one sponsoring my traveling, do I still need to provide my account statement?
2)I'm planning to undertake the processes myself and want to know if I can reaply if denied visa on the same invitation letter. Lastly.
What is the validity of an invitation letter? Thanks in anticipation. 1) Yes, you need your personal account statement with verifiable income source. And the statement has to meet up with UK standard. Most UK visit visa denials are centered on bank statements. So, they have a standard. Marriage, property, investments could also serve as good ties to home country. Besides, you are not a minor. You have to be able to prove to the ECO that you have things to return to in Nigeria at the end of your visit. If your uncle is sponsoring the trip solely, visa won't be approved cos you would be showing stronger ties to the UK than Nigeria. If your uncle provides full sponsorship, they will know you want to japa. 2) You can reapply if denied, as long as the reason(s) for refusal can be addressed. 3) About 6 months. |

Seeyat: The name global doesn't mean the company is global. I think that is where mix up comes in. It's a local company but the name sounds as if it's a global company. How can i explain this to ECO? Please advise I note from your last refusal that the ECO stated that your company company couldn't be verified via open source independent verification; since it is represented as a global company according to the name: GGK GLOBAL Limited. Now, let me give you a hint on what they meant by open source independent verification. If you type company names like Shell, Chevron and a host of others, you can easily get the companies contact details like addresses and phone numbers online. But GGK global limited doesn't have anything of such online. If you type GGk global limited on google, it won't bring up anything and that is because the company has no functional website. It's either the company has a website so it could be verified via OSIV or you get a good travel history to make them overlook the fact that it's not verifiable via OSIV. Remember these people will always look for the slightest reasons to deny an applicant. As for the 10K opening balance, when you started work and how much you earn will be used to judge that. My 2 cents. Gurus in the house can also support or spot flaws in what i have written. That's why we are all here. To learn. No one knows it all. |

Seeyat: Hello Oga @Justwise and others,
I'm about to reapply for UK visit visa, i would like to know if it's okay to spend a little above 2 months salary? My salary is 200k after tax.
Please advise Make sure you are able to tackle the reason for your first refusal. That way your application will fly. Does your company now have online presence as it is a global one? Otherwise, get good travel history. Wish you well. |

Infiosa: A lot is your offense in the matter! U don't share people's information without their consents and you still don't feel remorseful about it. How would UKVI grant you visa with such an unlawful act? This is a typical misrepresentation your like have subjected the country to. This is so criminal and a lawsuit can be press charged against you. This is a great platform where genuine information is shared to help others. The owner is not your friend and he/she can decide to be an enemy for this singular act. The fact that you are not remorseful pisses my gut! Check my previous post. U should be fine with it. |

justwise: Why would post the refusal letter here even without getting the consent of the owner? Are you an agent if the owner is truly not your friend? No, I'm not an agent. You can still do justice to the open source independent verification if you have an idea. We are all here to learn. I apologise for posting someone's refusal notice. |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Dolorsa: 6:17am On May 07, 2019 |
justwise: @Dolorsa respond to this allegation What's my offence? Did I say the refusal was mine? I felt the only way I could get response to why that application was refused was to call the owner of the refusal notice a friend. Maybe I should have addressed the applicant as an enemy. The reason was for me to understand open source independent verification used by the UK embassy. @seeyat, you had to open a new account on nairaland, why? Did your former account expire? Please respond to this your new account creation. @Justwise you can also respond to the open source independent verification issue if you have an idea because I just checked GGK global Limited on cac website. The company is actually a registered one her in Nigeria. Other people might also be interested in this. The UK embassy cannot just be collecting our money without issuing visas to people. |

Opeyemi007: An open source independent verification is one where a third party carries out the business/employment verification for them. Does this business exist? Did your friend submit payslips or any documents from the company? Ope, thanks for your response. I will have to confirm if he submitted the documents you mentioned and get back to you. As for the existence of the company, I really can't say much about it. All the same, I will make some findings from him based on the aforementioned and keep you posted. |

naira0: I beg to disagree with you. His denial has got nothing to do with ties. He already indicated that he has a glorious job which he intends to resume after studies. He is married too. Apparently, his denial has nothing to do with ties. Sometimes all that is required is the next attempt. Altering his DS application now on choice of institution will spell greater doom, EXCEPT he's targeting Spring 2019.
Therefore refire bro and pray for a more lenient VO. I only stated my observation. You also said your bit. The applicant has the yam and the knife. The decision to refire is solely his. |

Robert6708: You people are funny with all this choice of school bullcrap. His transcript went well, and by now I think it should be obvious that sometimes all you need is another trial, so are you suggesting he should go change school, and change his narrative thereby risking a possibility of complications. As long as your school is accredited, and you damn well know what you’re doing, one or two trials is enough to get a visa. Stop with the unnecessary importance y’all attach to ranking. I’m sure if it’s about rankings, by now everyone will know that. Your school can be an Ivy League schl, which is a plus, otherwise all you need do is sell yourself. Like the VO said, try again, he should do so, be consistent and pray for some luck, Lobatan. Robert, you have a point. Try and search for angrynaijachiq here on nairaland and check out her visa interviews. On her first attempt, the vo specifically told her that her school was losing accreditation and before she could say much she was denied. Only for her to go back with same school and her visa was approved. Interviews are subjective and what one vo is going to accept, another vo may not accept. God is the ultimate. |
