Any Opinion on this |
icemann:Seems you quote the wrong part, i use ELM327 with Torque Pro android app. The MPG is display on the trip computer, a display panel that comes with MDX. |
Thanks @bigrovar, I changed the rear brake pad and also adjust the hand brakes not to long ago, i will say almost the same time i start noticing this issue, might be a mere coincident or a contributing factor. i will work on that. The car trip computer has been given me a satisfactory value previously, i don't think is not accurate as you mentioned. will also do your own calculation as well an see what value i will be getting. |
icemann:Yes, the MPG is from the car trip computer. It reset on a daily basis, that's how i configured it, either reset daily, reset of refill or no reset at all, it gives the same value on the long run. And no bearing sound as well. |
icemann:Thanks, am yet to check the tire pressure but my dash board didn't indicate deflation in any on the wheels. the front brake pads are low actually but can't see any correlation with the issue. bearing, don't know about that, how do you check |
Am driving 2004 MDX with 3.5liter engine capacity and recently i notice my fuel consumption has drop from 15 or 16 MPG on average to 8.1MPG, my daily driving to work is always against the traffic, no change in route and no matter how free the road is i don't get more than 12.1MPG now. No check engine light or code display to indicate any fault and their is no pending code either. I trend the Short and Long fuel trim to see if the vehicle is running lean or rich but values seems to be within acceptable range STFT1 value: -1.6%, STFT2 Value: -0.8% to 1.6%. LTFT1 Value: -3.1%, LTFT2 Value: -0.8% AFR Value: 14.7:1, though this fluctuate between 14.5 to 14.8 but more steady at 14.7:1 17MPG is the expected value for city driving but i usually get 15MPG - 16MPG and this has drop to 8.1MPG, everything seems normal except for the MPG. below is the Oxygen sensor graph.

what of JUMBO, that aeroplane cartoon and inspector gadget |
Salam Brothers and Sisters i don't know if this has been discussed or not but would love to know the Islamic ruling on Insurance Policy, is it okay for Muslim to partake in such. There are several type of this policies ranging from Properties, Assets, Health, Life assurance, etc. These policies as we know are meant to secure us or our love ones in case of any eventualities. There are also different packages run by these companies, for a example a life assurance policies where an individual do monthly contribution for a minimum period of five years (based on Nigeria govt.policy) and the cumulative amount is return to the individual after five years but in case of death, the next of kin is giving the expected cumulative amount in five years. The most common one in Nigeria are the third party and the comprehensive insurance, the individual tend to loose some TOKEN amount within the insured period if nothing happen but if the unexpected happen, such investment could be a life saver. There are also some policy package that will return some percentage of the money back to the individual if nothing happens within the insured period. So what is the Islamic ruling on Insurance generally or are their selected packages that could be Islamical or Non-Islamical |
Told you also, that has already been contracted out |
looking for professional agents, |
There is no way I will be buying this, it's simply a poor design, just 5 minutes in traffic and you experience overheating. Putting a car in neutral in traffic should be a best practice, shouldn't be a sequence that if not follow would lead to failure. |

fanex:nice bro, i always look for opportunity like this myself but just have to be careful and do better research before buying, there are several reason why people sell you know. I also look at the guy previous thread and saw a 2005 for N2.37m a tokunbo and you expect a very good 2010 model, five years after to be sold with just 500k addition. https://www.nairaland.com/1792974/toyota-highlander-2005-model-n2.370m I just spoke with the dealer on the 2009 model cause i was curious about the price, you might speak to him and compare as well. |

fanex:okay, Good |
fanex:After inspection, we can talk further, are you a dealer? looking at you previous post though |
fanex:Thanks @Fanex, N5.5m is the asking price and further negotiation can take place after inspection. believe me i have try to survey round on the price before putting down this asking price, this is a very reliable, well maintain SUV with a clean title no salvage history and odometer is the actual one posted. I didn't see much of this 2011 version listed on Nairaland of recent, few that i saw that were recent post are of the same price, not arguing the 2012 price ooo, seems i saw that as well. If you are interested give me a call or flash my number will call you back. |
