Just a small article people still can't read, 50k fine or 3 yrs in prison, where is the justice. I will rather take the landlady method of eviction than going through the wahala of customary court process, at least for this case the tenant is out already, the landlady only pay 50k to the court while the tenant still suffer 300k damages and still employ the service of a lawyer with the hope of getting something meaningful in return.

I hope the tenant go to higher court to seek justice, this is certainly no justice

Car Talk › Re: Mdxers by domack99(m):
The first two fuel top up in Nigeria will bring out the check engine light for catalyst issue, have seen this happening a lot on most 2nd generation MDX but will disappear later on.
Also try and join mdxer.com you will see a lot of useful discussion and maintenance tips.

The suv is very good for off road but has higher fuel consumption than most suv of it's range being 3.5litre engine.

If you have no service record of when last the ATF was changed please don't tamper with it.

Oyigbo in Ebute meta is your best place to get part not ladipo and you get more Acura expert there but your best mechanic is you, your scanner and search engine including Nairaland.

If your sensors are failing better to order new from amazon than buying tokumbo, Texas instruments and SINS offer lots of them on amazon, sins shipto Nigeria and the landing cost will almost be the same as buying tokumbo in Ladipo if you choose free shipping.

And not to forget never take of your thermostat or else your car will consume more fuel than normal.

Car Talk › Re: Help Needed On A Transmission Related Issue. by domack99(m): 8:05pm On Oct 21, 2014
First you need to run a scan and get us the code thrown by the ECU. You can get ELM327 with torque lite or car doctor on your Android phone you will be able to get the code.

Can you please explain more on the jerking pattern, if you are experiencing the jerking only when changing from park to drive, park to reverse, reverse to drive etc while the car is not moving, then you might have to check your engine and transmission mount. This type of jerking issue will never throw a code.

Removing the filter is not that difficult, need to remove the filter, clean it or replace it and do another refill and this time please confirm the smell and colour of your ATF.
Politics › Re: PDP Welcomes Buhari To Presidential Race: Faults His Claims On State Of The Nati by domack99(m): 6:23am On Oct 16, 2014
adonbilivit:
However, it is incontrovertible that in the last 15 years of PDP leadership, especially the last three years of dynamic and purposeful administration provided by President Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria's economy has become the largest in Africa and the 26th largest in the world. Similarly, our Foreign Reserve is now over $39 billion dollars, and our foreign debts reduced to less than $7 billion from $36 billion.
The bold part above is the problem with GEJ, this is self centered, people like OBJ and PDP northern members won't like such statement, OBJ really tried on the economy roadmap and Yaradua on the amnesty stuff. The word especially is given sole credit to GEJ administration to what ever success they believe they have recorded, that not a sign of good leadership
Car Talk › Re: Cost Of 05 MDX Transmission - P0741 Issue by domack99(m): 4:31pm On Oct 15, 2014
bolacruz:
Do anybody know the cost of 05 MDX transmission package, the vehicle is throwing P0741 Torque converter clutch hydraulic circuit stuck off. Though still doing my research on it but from all indication, seems I will be getting another transmission. Am not based in Lagos, I will like to have an idea of the price.
I have some question

1. Is that the only code the car is throwing - if there are other code and are related to electrical, please attend to those ones first before getting a new gear.

2. What is the colour of your ATF and the smell - If the internal parts is having issue due to part rubbing against each other the ATF should smell like burnt oil, dark in colour and little particles should be seen on the ATF.

3. What is the D5 blinking like - If the D5 blink immediately after turning on the engine most likely you are having electrical issue but if the D5 come up only after driving the vehicle then you having a mechanical failure of the tranny and you to see number 2 symptom as well.

4. Dirty filter - If you oil is really dirty and your vehicle is running smoothly except for take off, your filter may be clog. You need to bring down the tranny to access the filter this is where Honda got the design of their transmission wrong, other manufacturer have easily accessible filter on their tranny without bringing out the whole package.

Politics › Re: Maku Confirms Quitting Jonathan’s Cabinet October 20 by domack99(m): 6:29am On Oct 13, 2014
LilNetty:
The Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, on Sunday confirmed that he would quit the Federal Executive Council on October 20.
He said his decision to cease to be a minister is to allow him pursue his ambition of becoming the governor of Nassarawa State in 2015.
He spoke during a thanksgiving service he organised at St. Patrick’s Catholic Parish, Akwanga.
The Punch had reported exclusively on September 26 that at least, six ministers may quit President Goodluck Jonathan’s cabinet in October as preparations for the 2015 general elections peak.
In the report, Maku was listed among ministers who are expected to resign their appointments in order to pursue their governorship ambitions on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Confirming the report, Maku said by October 20, all members of the FEC who are interested in pursuing their ambitions would step down.
He said he had made up his mind to sacrifice the comfort of the office he currently holds in order to join his people in the wilderness

So they all know that political office is for comfort not to serve the people, he can't even hide it in his statement imagine
Health › Ebola:liberian Ambassador Indicted by domack99(op): 6:34am On Oct 12, 2014
First Consultants Medical Centre, the Lagos hospital where the man who brought Ebola to Nigeria, late Liberian Patrick Sawyer died, has indicted the Liberian Ambassador to Nigeria for his involvement in the case, saying he put the hospital under pressure to release Sawyer against the wish of its management.

Speaking to newsmen yesterday, the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Benjamin Ohiaeri, said:
"The ambassador said if we continued to keep him (Sawyer), it would be tantamount to kidnap and abuse of human right. He said if we did not release him, we would be subjecting our hospital to international diplomatic row and we should not rule out the possibility of law suit.”
The hospital lost four staff to the outbreak, two doctors and two nurses
"As if that was not bad enough for us, the Liberian Ambassador to Nigeria started to put pressure on us that Mr Sawyer had his fundamental human right that he wanted to leave the hospital and he should be allowed to leave. In other words, we have a provision within the law that allows the person to sign and leave the hospital. Meanwhile, there is a superior provision within that law which is that you can decline the patient for public good. In order to protect ourselves as an institution, we called in our lawyer who drafted for us a resolution, stating that we were not going to let Sawyer out because it will not be in the public good to let him out.”
"Because we did not let him go, Mr. Sawyer unleashed his bio terror on the staff of the hospital. He knew he had the disease, he was angry to the extent that he released his blood to contaminate our people as they came in. We lost four of our key staff who included, Dr. Adadevoh, she worked here for 21 years, Dr. Amos Abaniwo, our Chief consultant Anesthesiology and Director of clinical service, had been with us for 16 years. Dr. Adadevoh died leaving the husband and a son, Dr. Abaniwo died leaving his wife and three kids, the third person that died was a nurse Ejeleonu, she just started working with us that day. Unknown to us she was two months pregnant and she died with the pregnancy. The fourth person that died was nurse Evelyn Uko who had been working with us for the past 31 years. She was a widow, a single parent raising four children, she died living those children with us, multiple tragedy because the four children were kicked out of the home because of the stigma. So watching her is a combination of so much burden on First Consultant.

Men as am writing this am heading to Enugu where my bro is with the car cuz he's the one using it. Apparently he got swindled with a fake Mobil 1 oil and I had to change the metal. But the twist now is, like he reported there's this knocking metallic sound still coming off when you rev the car. The advice he got was a total engine overhaul even after the fixing and change of a better oil. So what's your take on it. I was gonna call you and create a thread for it. They advice him not to travel far with the car until this is done. Engine is fine but just that sound it makes as it was when the bad oil spoiled the metal. So pls help
Apology, I have really been engulf with office work lately. Have you open another thread for this concern, it will be better if you do and give more detail of the situation. can you give me a call

Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Okay For A Christian To Eat Ileya Meat? by domack99(m): 7:39am On Oct 05, 2014
Meenh this is serious, lots of haters here and there, I notice most poster that refuse to eat Sallah meat are mostly newly registered members and most likely are new generations of Nigeria. All I can say is that we are doomed in this God forsaking country. The older generation of this country has failed, Christian and Muslim use to live in harmony but seems the old generation has failed to teach the newer ones the good way of life.

What I see that is lacking here is reading habit, funny enough the world is more global than before, where you have mobile library and e-consultant on the go, we can easily consult google, Wikipedia and the like for quick answer but to my surprise we are more ignorant than ever before.

Imagine Christians bluntly saying on this thread that Muslim worship idol, when there are several debate you can see on youtube among the scholars of the two religion, there you will see similarities and differences in the two religion.

Our pastors are not trying at all and the parents are not helping matter, we can not leave this world alone, we need to learn to co-exist with one another.

As some poster has mentioned and quoted earlier, it is clearly stated in the Quran that meat from Jew and Christians are allowed for Muslims, Christianity on the other hands seems not to have a definite backing for why Sallah meat should not be eating as there have been counter quoting to support and against our desire.

ZIMDRILL: the only way to change the oil in the converter is to separate the gearbox from the engine and take out the converter eampty it and refill

thats the reason why garages we flush 3 or 4 times flush of the gearbox oil, the reason is the more you flush the more you dilute fresh oil the converter

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vk3n_ss0x5s

a converter being open, this video helps to undersatnd thats a simple flush wont dilute much oil in the converter
Thanks, i can see there is no way to get the fluid out except taken out the converter itself. thanks for the video
