Good move. If PO was loyal and humble he would have rather joined APC and contest for senate so that by now he would have been given senate president instead of Nigeria president. As he came out third position with a third class degree, it's clear the number 3 position would have fit him better.

While I understand your point , I however believe that we have no reason to go through the stress those 300yr old countries went through, bicycles have been invented , we have no business reinventing it…our growth is supposed to be accelerated on the back of what has been done by others …however, in Africa we are preoccupied by rubbish.

Just take a look at the argument being pushed to the public about Lagos election, it has become an issue of his name is Chinedu, nobody even cares if he has the capacity to change lagos .

Africa has a big problem and the just concluded election has shown that no hope on sight anytime soon.

Nigeria is certainly lagging behind and should be doing a lot better in.many areas.

But some of the countries people are quick to compare Nigeria with have more than 300-year headstart over Nigeria.

Comparison is good, but we also need to be realistic.

Today, the pace of change is so fast, and the first movers ie Western countries and now some Asian countries are so far ahead, I don't know how African countries will catch up. The world system, including globalisation, is also not in our favour.

Egypt is struggling badly. South Africa has not progressed much economically. Ghana is on its knees. Most African countries are basket cases.

These days, the more I look at the world in my private moments, the more I fear we may never catch up with the most successful/developed countries in the world.

Our systems and our minset as a people are far removed from what they need to be for us to develop, let alone catch up.

Our population is growing too fast, faster than our economy, which means the country can't even maintain the status quo in terms of standard of living, let alone improving it. Too many of our people are not being educated. Those who think they're educated did not receive the right education.

We have simply not set ourselves up to compete.

Makes me sweat when I think about all these things, as I desperately want the best for the tens of millions of struggling people who need and deserve better.

If you celebrate what Wike did as right, you will receive that type of treatment in all areas of your life and we shall applaud you. Say Amen 🙏
