PetsRe: Nigerian Vet Doctor Takes To His Heels After A Pitbull Loosens Self From Chain by dominique(mod): 4:23pm On Nov 14, 2023
Chains are not enough, vets normally put straps on the mouth of the dogs especially when giving injection. That's what this vet should have done, does he think a chain is enough to restrain an agitated dog? I remember how one of our dogs nearly ran wild when she got injected by the vet, if not for the straps, she would have hurt someone or herself.

What isp is he using?

sometimes the messages are from there and have to be disabled/opted out

can you describe some of the messages?

are they gambling messages?
I'm not sure of his service provider, I think it's either MTN or Glo. The kind of ads I saw when I checked the phone are memory booster apps, then one photo edit app and some crypto apps.

This is the song we've been waiting for to come change the man of stone. I loved Orits Wiliki those days like kilode. Back in the days when artistes used to pour their hearts and soul into their music and lyrics actually made sense. What we have today is noise cry
BusinessRe: Naira Scarcity Worsens As Banks Limit Withdrawals, ATMs Run Dry by dominique(mod): 10:09am On Nov 14, 2023
There's no naira scarcity anywhere, people are just no longer taking money to the bank.

People transacting with large volumes of cash are hardly depositing money in banks like before. They prefer to take the cash to POS agents who will give them tips unlike banks who will still remove charges from their deposits. I know of a large gas plant that makes at least 10 million naira daily in sales. In the past, bank marketers used to come and take the sales money to the bank. Now it's pos agents lurking around them to collect cash from their sales.

Pos people have almost completely collected customers from banks, they're now confidently opening shops in front of banks because they know people will rather collect cash from them than to go and queue in front of bank's malfunctioning ATMs which may or may not dispense cash.

The only sure way banks can now get cash is when CBN prints out new currencies those ones too end up in the hands of POS agents once they're dispensed out.

They just want to use the poor man's condition to cash out. With the way they're all behaving, willing donors will start getting discouraged to donate.

I am done talking to you people on this forum. Una no dey hear advice, then when it happens to you, you will rush to open thread on nairaland. It is good. We will keep reading your stories. I should come and lie on a faceless forum... Your kind of person learns from experience but I believe those that will learn a thing or 2 from the thread have done so already.
So in essence, you prefer to be left behind by your spouse if he relocates abroad so you don't get to kick him out, divorce him and take over his "porperties". Good to know

the first question is what model is the phone?

a lot of all these chinese phones have malware bundled from source
there is an option on multiple sites that you must NEVER accept click yes to Allow this site to send messages. once you do this you will start getting popups on any platform

https://www.gadgets360.com/apps/features/google-chrome-block-website-notifications-desktop-android-ios-how-to-steps-2436213

this is a guide to blocking notifications

also remove all other browsers installed n the phone

you can also download adguard - which blocks ads, but requires a subscription

he may also need to go through his apps and delete the games or fun apps. alot of these are nuisance ad monetized apps that make money off ads

as to losing your information of you wipe your phone - that should nt happen if you are properly set up, especially if you are using a Samsung device, but that is too far out of the scope of this post
It's an infinix phone, I don't know the particular model. He has deleted almost all the apps on his phone apart from the default ones and banking app. I've cleared all the browsing data on the Chrome browser and blocked all notifications on almost all the apps but the issue persists.
