Career / Re: Welcome To My Office by dominobaby(f): 12:46pm On Jun 27, 2011
my office? i think i should rather say my 'site'.
i'm the project director/electrical engineer for a construction project my company is working on.

client (indian) demands that the site office is open everyday, meaning i've to be there everyday! the boring thing is that nothing is happening on site now, we're still chilling for the civil and structural engineers to finnish certain stuff before we can do anything.

Career / Re: Electrical Engineering: Aspirants and Practitioners by dominobaby(f): 1:11pm On May 30, 2011
wow, it's been ages since i came to nairaland and i am glad to see an interesting topic especially as it regards to my career.

@ Ajanlekoko, i must confes, your intro at the first page of the thread prompted me to read further.
Thanks for all your wonderful advice, it is interesting and inspiring.

I started off with an ND in Yabatech after which i went for my IT (one year post -ND IT) partly with Penfield/TACAS in 2003 (yes TACAS! was quite shocked to see their name in here, it really is a small world!) and partly with Infoweb - an ISP. Wasn't so much interested in Power as that was what i was involved with in TACAS, the environment was just not it and then there were drawings i could not understand. We had a field job to do for NEPA which was MD (Maximum Demand) meter auditing for NEPA customers.

I am so so so veeeeeeeeeeryyyyyyyyyyy excited ISAAC won, he truly deserved it. Got back late from work and couldn't meet up with it, can someone pls help give a lil summary on what transpired? Thanks!

smiley smiley smiley smiley cheesy cheesy
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by dominobaby(f): 7:30am On Jun 20, 2008
from all indications, ISAAC deserves to win, but i don't like the fact that Shobanjo has to still make the final decisions, despite Paul and Mimi's summary of it all - I see Shobanjo giving it to Eunice.

Eunice does not have that inter personal relationship!
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by dominobaby(f): 7:49am On Jun 17, 2008
Blessing actually fired herself, how on earth would you say you are manipulative?

I am so sure Eunice is going to beat Isaac to it today, much as i don't want her to win.

But how come one of the guys that interviewed her did not point the fact that she could not answer just one of the economics questions? shocked
this chick is just being favoured with that accent of hers
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by dominobaby(f): 5:14pm On May 25, 2008
kathleen reely had to go, no doubt bout that cos from the videos of the task they undertook, she did not perform too well, she even did not attend to the customers well.

I really want Eunice to leave this time around.
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by dominobaby(f): 11:33pm On May 12, 2008

TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by dominobaby(f): 3:23pm On May 03, 2008
Mustay:

i think EUNICE shoulod 've gone out for her statement "sir, i think, Nancy should be fired"

Eunice isn't nice at all in defending herself imagine her saying "Sir, Nancy can not only be your apprentice, she should be firewd today" I guess she was already angry to be brought back to Matrix corp cos that team has lost like 4 times in a row, haba!
enque:

but really, dyu guys think that MATRIX CORP. is really jinxed, according to what Oscar said in his post-eviction interview, or maybe their efforts don't seem to match up wit that of ZULU CORP.

whichever way anyone of them ministers to you, there really isn't any basis for comparism, just as someone quoted

detruth:

@ Poster

2 Cor 10:12For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.(KJV)

hmm,
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by dominobaby(f): 6:09pm On Apr 17, 2008
yeah, was cool in the end, just that i wasn't happy with the fact that Matrix corp was loosing for the second time consecutively. They were told to make an art exhibition and Zulu corp was the first to come up with the initiative of an auction sale. Though both teams did the auction sale. IT really was hard for the art guys to place scores on their performance, it was a close result ; Matrix 292, Zulu - 293.

Zulu won cos they made greater sale of 63k while Matrix made just 50. Shola reminded them that they should always bear in mind the business aspect of every task given. I've forgotten the name of the balded guy in Matrix corp, he was the one who was FIRED cry
