BusinessRe: G8 Worried Over Nigeria's Nuclear Programme by Don1DeMaco: 11:40am On Jun 30, 2008
Nuclear project my ass.
a country dat cannot even oversee the minutest of things like generating electric power with all its vast hydrocarbons
abeg u guys should tell me something better or are we now here for jokes

i guess the members of G8 have nothing better on their plate to worry about but for the sake of worrying they had to look for something to remain relevant in the news

maybe their fear is dat we dont end up developing the program to kill ourselves cos i can just imagine, i wonder how much will be embezzled in this projecthuh??
PoliticsRe: Do You Think FG Is Being Fair To Niger Delta? by Don1DeMaco: 5:44pm On Jun 29, 2008
i dont think the Fg has been fair to Nigeria as a whole not just the Niger Delta.

And i think the people of dat region should stop complaining and try to look inwards b4 telling people to come to their mercy.

even with the little money they claim to get as revenue what has been done with it, is it not the same niger delta we have a certain james ibori who was meant to be arrested for depriving his people of part of their revenue that the same state judiciary protected from the EFCC and u want nigerian to sympathize with uhuhhuh

how am i not sure that these so called militants who engagaed in criminal activities during election to put in fruadulent candidates are still not being sponsored by the same high criminal elements so that more money can come to the state for them to embezzle.

I would like the people of the region to clean their household first so dat we other Nigerians can the carry their cross over to the federal level. Dats my take.

Have they been fair to themselves should be the question. why not carry arms first against people embezzling ur revenues, the cascade it upwards instead of starting at the top, then by the time it gets to the bottom the purpose would have been defeated.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Without It's Vast Oil Reserves by Don1DeMaco: 9:31am On Jun 29, 2008
Nigeria without oilhuhhuh

very funny topic, what of Nigeria without its people, or Nigeria without the fertile land or Nigeria without other natural resourceshuhhuh

Its like comedy reading thru this threads it still brings us to the same issues u guys are just too short sighted

The problem is not the oil, its the people of course not all but the small % which make up a good number, dats the problem and they are everywhere the East, West, North, south, Middle Belt, Niger Delta Noth East, South South everywhere thats the problem.

I can bet u dat this contry would probabaly be the same with or without oil, it only means the amount we would have been taking about would have been far less.

Maybe the the Northerners would by now be fighting the struggle of the nIGER dELTA AND COMPLAIN OF BEING MARGINALISED cos they have the highest amount of beggers on the street and generate the highest revenue from their mineral resoursec and groundnut, or the Lagosians and other coastal areas would claim the same cos their people have to fend for the nation cos everything passes thru their coasts or what have u.

The problem is not the oil, or any other natural resources its the peoplehuh we need to do something about us, me inclusive cos we are the problem, if my father comes home with stolen money from the govt i would celebrate him, who cares about how many people he has denied a means of livelihood, dats the problem.

Russias economy is where it is 2day cos of oil, they are solely and fully dependent on the commodity and they plenty too, so are a lot of oother countries, so u guys should not blame God for giving u oil cos u never can tel what this great nation would have become without it.

trust me u are always better off with more oppourtunities whether u utilize it or not, so the onus is on us to identify our oppourtunities nd utilize it to the fulest instead of complaining about having the oppourtunity at all.

the case is like the case of a poor man with little probs blaming God for making him rich cos he now has more probs as a result of his wealth.

Think about it. Oil or no oil we are our own problem and i dont think we would have been better off with or without it, dats just my own personal opinion, i dont have to be right
PoliticsRe: Yar’adua Declares War On Militants by Don1DeMaco: 9:12am On Jun 29, 2008
Ha great to be back
Been reading this thread with great interest without knowing which side of the fence to sit on. so i decided to sit on the fence which for me for now is the most comfortable position.

Ha the Niger Delta storyhuh very interesting, it takes something drastic to happen b4 people take notice, the militants or criminals have passed a message across, Nigeria needs to take notice, the president needs to act, the people need to respond. 1 up to the militants or criminals

whats this struggle all abouthuh 15% derivation, 20%, 50%, 100% all the oil moneyhuh? do u really think dats the problem with the region, no money but direct development from the Federal Govt.huhhuh what exactly is the problem or is it all of the above, they want everything, the whole Nigeria should worship them since oil is from their regionhuh?? until we can all answer this question and identify the problem we should not even think about profering solutions.

who in his right mind can say this is the reason why the Niger Delta is the way it is and whose fault or what is the cause, ofcourse i would expect answers like the oil companies, FGN, Obj, YarDull, Abacha who knowshuh Lack of infracstructures, oil pollution, oil spillage, etc

Now back to these criminals we call militants according to some people or should i say militants being called criminals depending on which side of the fence u sit on like i said im on the fence, not from Niger Delta but i've stayed there for a while and i understand some of the psychic though dont entirely agree with everything there, buy i think we as Nigerians need to be objective and start to reason like reasonable individuals and stop talking without thinking deeply, throw emotions out of the window and start being objective, i know dat can be difficult cos of limited info and the truth but with the little we see and experience we should be able to read btw the lines and brace ourselfs for the challenges ahead.

For me i see this as the beginning of worse things to happen, more like a genocide looming or another civil war, call it whatever u like, but this is the birth of anarchy in our country and the earlier we resist both the Govt. and the militants instead of trading blames or taking sides the better for the people of this country.

Thats my take for now, will be awaiting peoples responses, views and opinions b4 we start examinig the situation we find ourselves 2day.

Pls make ur contibution as objective as possible

O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA,one more time O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA
not cos he's black but cos he's the best amongst the candidates both democrats and republicans
go O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA.

though i think he might not win, not cos he isnt good enough but i sense the repeat of 2000 when bush rigged the election
people brace urself 4 another INEC in the US of A, i hope all americans would resist fraud this time around and allow the best man 4 the job win.

PoliticsRe: Chief Obafemi Awolowo: National Hero Or Villain? by Don1DeMaco: 4:17pm On Jan 06, 2008
Your right on those quotes, Are those quotes from 99.99% corrupt Yoruba Leaders?.Mmm!!! Now i really know why other Nigeria are finding it difficult to decode the secret code used by Yoruba corrupt Leaders to perpetuate corruption. No wonder Fulani/Hausa sey nay Yoruba leaders teach them how to be corrupt.
I'm completely disappointed that a self proclaimed intellectual/Intelligent man like you, because of your ethnic affiliation and to answer a brother's keeper decided to defend your 99.99% corrupt Yoruba Leaders, Instead of you helping other Nigerias find a means to end this their Bad behaviour that are causing the decaying of this country.
still displaying ur ignorance right? i would even try to engage u in any tribalistic discussion cos for my person its totally uncalled 4 and demeaning. Dont care which tribe u are, a corrupt man is a corrupt man regardless of his race/ tribe. All i'm telling u is u shouldnt be guilty of generallization esp when u know little or nothing.

If i choose to agree with u, then the likes of Ibori, Chris and Andy Uba, Ngige, Odili, Orji Kalu, Nnamani, Muazu, IBB, Abacha, , are all yoruba men. if thats ur stand then this discussion is highly unneccessary. I believe in the Nigerian dream, where every nigerian will have access to at least basic ammenities, not interested in coming on the net and trading words with an illitrate like u who has no idea of what he is saying cos of his ignorance.

Pls try an think outside the box, the more u use ur brain the more it develops, dont be happy with being shallow in ur thinking cos its not a good sign. Tried my best to at least help u realise ur folly, but i was wrong cos a fool wouldnt have any idea of identifying help when it even stares him in his face, so believe me i wouldnt be responding to ur posts again cos i've decided to shun u. like some people say ignorance is bliss so maybe dats why u ve decided not to learn.

I rest my case, maybe other people would help u out.
PoliticsRe: Chief Obafemi Awolowo: National Hero Or Villain? by Don1DeMaco: 10:20am On Jan 06, 2008
But Yorubas honours corruption, that is why 99.99% of their leaders are corrupt, even FELA said it. That was why his same ethnic brother killed his mother because of his insisting to expose the secret code of their corruption.
stupidity at its very best, u don't strike me as an intellectual or an intelligent person. must be wallowing in ignorance with your likes.

"Yorubas honour corruption, thats why 99.99% of their leaders are corrupt and even FeLA said it", the Fela that said it, was he Ibo, Hausa, Fulani, Niger-Delta or what? wasnt he a yoruba man? so why didnt he honour corruption or was he not a leader in his own right, ok maybe he is the 0.01% u are talking about.

I wonder how many yoruba leaders we have had ruling this country, i guess the only one we had is the man solely responsible for corruption in the country.

guy wake up, get yourself a brain and stop making unguarded statements, no be by force to comment on issues u have little or no knowledge about. Try and use this medium to educate and enlighten yourself and stop flaunting your ignorance for all to see.

as this quote says:
He who knows not and knows not he knows not: he is a fool - shun him.
He who knows not and knows he knows not: he is simple - teach him.
He who knows and knows not he knows: he is asleep - wake him.
He who knows and knows he knows: he is wise - follow him.”

u are one to be shunned, so i am even disappointed in myself for not doing that, but for the sake of being my brother's keeper and the sake of others u might misinform, i have decided to assume to u the second part of the quote so that u can seek knowledge and be taught, to end up being the man described in the last part of the quote and make constructive posts to benefit of yourself and others.

bibiking1:
whether Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba.

when an individual is corrupt, his tribe does not come into play
well said bro, for this your statement u sound like a man worthy of being followed. keep it up. May God give u the strength to continue educating the likes of willy*2
